December 2004 Updates

The Holidays are almost over! Thank God! - 12/27/04

After five days of working my butt off and being busy with the holidays, I am finally home. When I get on the computer, and check my inbox, there are 47 messages, all of them having to do with Ballads and Bows in one way or another. I'm so happy this site is getting so popular, but man, getting all that work out of the way was tiring, to say the least...Anyway, let's begin:

On the 22nd, I made a huge mistake and wrote in that the reviews done by Sailor Venus were done by Vincent! Bad Elly! The reviews were actually written by Tobias, and the names on the reviews have been changed and all, so sorry about that! Please forgive me Tobias!! ^ ^; Also, I have added Tobias's last two reviews for the month: I'm Here and Sayonara~Sweet Days. Please enjoy them!

Also, Nickole (Sailor Uranus) has submitted her reviews of the following songs: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Sayonara~Sweet Days, and I'm Here. Please enjoy!

The site has also received two new awards for the holidays! Please check them out by clicking here. Thank you so much to Lauren and Ruth for the awards!

Speaking of Lauren, she has also submitted two new linking banners to the site. Her count in the mentions list has also been updated, for any of you curious to how much stuff she has contributed to the site. Thank you so much Lauren!!

Also, we have a new reviewer to add to the site! His name is Alexander and he will be reviewing as Prince Endymion. Sorry to anyone who may have wanted that position, but if you snooze you lose! As such, the position has been removed from the join page. Sorry about that again! Welcome to the group, Alexander! We can't wait to see your reviews for January's songs!

I have added Alexander's Sailor Moon site to our list of affiliates! Please check out his site, it's really cute!

A note about lyrics requests: I don't own (sadly) the original Japanese lyrics to the new Kawabe Chieko songs, or to any of the newer songs. I pretty much have to rely on my friends over at Eternalwhiteprincess.com to get original lyrics sheets in Japanese. If you would like me to translate a song for you, please try to get me a copy of the original Japanese lyrics first. I've noticed that there are a lot of requests for one song in particular: Cry Baby by Kawabe Chieko. Unfourtunately, I do not own the album that this song comes from, and as such I do not have a copy of the original Japanese lyrics. Sadly, I do not have the time to listen to the song on a loop and write out all the Japanese lyrics as I hear them, so until someone sends me the original Japanese, I can't translate the lyrics. Sorry about that everyone. If you have a copy of the lyrics, please send them to me!

Whew, okay, I'm done. I think that's it for now. Please enjoy the site, and thank you to everyone who has been posting on the tagboard and guestbook! I really appreciate your comments! Happy Holidays, and enjoy the site!

Edit: 2:42 PM - I've added Alexander's profile to the staff page! Please check it out!

Christmas Countdown: 2 Days! More Reviews + New Banner - 12/22/04

Hello everyone, and welcome back! Today we have four new reviews to add to the site!

Vincent Tobias (Sailor Venus) has sent in his reviews for Katagoshi Ni Kinsei, Romance, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Please enjoy!

Sebi (Jedite) has also reviewed Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Check it out!

A wonderful visitor to the site named Lauren has donated a new banner to the site! Thank you so much Lauren, keep coming back! It's visitors like you that make this site so wonderful!

Also...

Happy Holidays!

I know I'm a bit later in getting this out than some of the other sites, but please enjoy the gift! If you are a visitor, an affiliate, a staff member, or in any way affiliated with me, reisei-sa.net, or any of the sailor moon sites associated with it (including this site!) then please accept this gift! All that I ask is that you upload the gift to your own server, and link it back here since it is from me! ^ ^; Thank you for sticking it out at this site for the last two months everyone, it is really appreciated.

Thanks for visiting the site, and be sure to get the word out about us with the new banner Lauren has so graciously provided us with! Thanks again, and enjoy the site!

Edit: 8:44 PM - I've added another gift to the site! This one comes from my sister site, Rainbow Magik. Thank you so much Lauren, enjoy your holiday as well!

Christmas is coming soon! Links and New Reviews - 12/20/04

There are quite a few updates today everyone! Get ready!!

Nickole (Sailor Uranus) has submitted her reviews of Katagoshi Ni Kinsei and Romance. Check them out!

I have a new affiliate! Her name is Ami and she runs Shine Aqua Illusion. Her site has all of the PGSM songs up for download, as well as lyrics! Also, Ami's site is the only site on the internet that has express permission to post my lyric translations. So, if you're looking to get ahead on next month's reviews before I post the downloads, please check out Ami's site!

Speaking of links, I have updated the links out page, with Ami's link.

I have also added a new linking button. It's nothing too great, but I'm slowly learning how to make blinkies, woo hoo!

The Guestbook also seems to be down until this Wednesday, so please post all of your comments in the tagboard! Sometime in the New Year there will also be a layout change, so look forward to that also!

That's all for today! I'm sorry that the updates are getting fewer and fewer, but you know how busy the holidays can be! Also, wish me luck, since I'll be writing my college application essays this winter break! Thank you for your warm e-mails of good luck, everyone! That's all for today, please enjoy the site and come back soon!

Review + New Staff Member - 12/15/04

Sebi (Jedite) has posted his review of Katagoshi Ni Kinsei (Over the Shoulder Venus). Please enjoy.

Also, today we welcome a new member to the reviewing team! Please say hello to Nickole, who will be reviewing as Sailor Uranus.

Christmas is almost here! As such, since the school semester is nearly at a close, I have been at school for extra hours cramming away, which unfourtunately means less updates for this site until the holiday break finally gets here. My holiday break doesn't begin until next Thursday after school (just one day before Christmas Eve!) so if you submit a review, or some such, and you don't see it up here after a few days...do not panic. Your review is happily waiting in my inbox until I get home from school and find time to code it and put it online.

I've added us to another fanlisting, and hopefully this site will start getting a lot more hits (and hopefully more members!) since I've done a bit of promotion for this site. I've also added a few new links in the links section. Thank you to everyone who has helped get the word out about this site!!

That's all for today, I'm headed off to do homework and study...a quick personal note though:

Congratulations to Steven Sachs and Rachel Staum (friends @ school) who applied for Early Action and were accepted to Harvard today! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU! GREAT JOB GUYS! DO YOUR BEST!!

Okay, honestly, I'm going now...later everyone!

Reviews + Download Procedure - 12/12/04

It's hard to believe that I've gone nearly a week without updating this site. Things have been kind of rough since my darling was in the hospital, working himself to death to make extra money for the holidays. He passed out from exhaustion, and was taken to the hospital. I came to the decision that being with Tim was more important than updating the site throughout the week, which is why there have been no updates. If you can't handle that, and think that I should have updated the site instead...screw yourself. My love life comes first, internet life second. Anyway...

I have added a ton of reviews today!

First up, is Ilse with her review of I'm Here. Please enjoy!

Second, Frosted_Rain has completed his reviews for I'm Here and Sayonara~Sweet Days. Check them out!!

Last but certainly not least, our darling Sat has done her reviews of all of the current review songs! Check them out, her reviews are just amazing!!

Another reviewing position is up, while another has been taken. You can no longer apply as Sailor Uranus, but now the position for Kuroki Mio is active, since Justin has become too busy to participate in the group anymore. Please consider taking the new position, and welcome our newest member to the team!!

I also have a bit of an announcement to make. It seems that people like my translations of songs, which I am very flattered about, but I simply do not have the time to fill all requests. After only a week of absense online, my inbox had over 30 requests for song translations. Let me lay down some rules right now, in hopes that the requests will die down a bit:

  • I will not translate songs that are not related to PGSM. I will translate songs by actresses that were in the show, ect, but don't ask me for Ayumi Hamasaki or Utada Hikaru translations. While I do personally love J-Music and listen to many of the songs that people want translated, there are many other sites on the internet that can provide you with translations for these songs.

  • I will not translate more than 2 requests at a time. Someone actually had the nerve to ask me to translate almost 50 songs for them. I won't do it. All of your requests will be denied.

  • Do not ask me to do kanji translations for your yahoo group/board. I do not have the time to look up thousands of kanji for you, or anyone else. Do it yourself if you know Japanese. Someone asked me to make an entire section for their yahoo group for lyrics with kanji, for every song in PGSM. Do your own damned website work. Learn Japanese, it isn't a difficult language.

  • I charge for translations that are not intended for my website. If you want me to do translations for your own personal use, you will be charged a fee. I feel that my rates are minimal and affordable. If you are interested in my translation services, be prepared to pay. I simply do not have the time to do all of the requests I get out of the kindness of my heart. If you don't like it, then don't ask me for my time.

  • You may not use my translations for your website. If I catch them being used without my permission (and trust me, I never give permission out unless you have a good case and personally contact me first) I will be contacting your host and ISP about the theft. Be prepared to be pulled offline. I take translation theft very seriously. I've had serious problems in the past with certain webmistresses stealing my translations, and I'm not going through that crap again. I find it, I'm going to do my damndest to get you offline and away from my materials.

  • My translations are not to be posted on Live Journal. Don't even ask. I consider Live Journals to be just like a website, and I'm not giving out my translations. If you want translations so badly, translate the song yourself.

  • Stop asking me to send you my entire PGSM song collection. Yes, I own some of the albums that have the songs that are up for download. No, I will not burn you a copy, even if you pay me. If you have money to buy a copy, then you should save it to buy the real thing. I am poor and would like your money, but I'm not going to make you a copy of a CD for it. Download what's on the site. It is fine to ask for one or two songs, but at the point where you're asking to download nearly 10 songs (someone on MSN asked me for 9 songs this morning) you need to go somewhere else. Furthermore, if the songs you are asking for are not on the current reviews list, I will not send them anymore. Period. Find somewhere else to go.

  • If you are planning on asking me to send you songs, know which songs you want before you message me. I do not have the time to wait 15 minutes while you figure out which songs you want. Do not ask me where the different links on my site go. Do not ask me what the URL to the site is if you want something from me. I find it disrespectful if you don't even take the time to learn my name and then want something from me.

  • Anyway...now that that is out of my system, please feel free to submit your requests to me.

    Also...

    Thank you for 1,000 hits!

Thank you for 1,000 hits! In just under a month, we've already cleared a thousand hits. Let's continue to make this site as popular as it already is! I would like to thank my staff and everyone who visits this site for making it such a success. Thank you all very, very much.

That's all for today. Keep up the wonderful work on the site reviewers, and thank you for making this site so great! Have a great day everyone.

    More reviews! - 12/6/04

Well, it seems that I'm right back to the grind as far as school is concerned. I'll try to update everyday with all of the reviews I get, but I don't know that I'll be able to keep up as well as I'd like to, so please don't get angry if you submitted your review one or two days ago and it's still not on here. Today I cleared my inbox of all the reviews I had, so I should be caught up on everything at the moment. Please just give me a little space this week.

Ilse (Dark Sailor Mercury) has submitted her review for Sayonara~Sweet Days. Please check it out!

Frosted_Rain (Nephrite) has submitted his reviews for Romance, Katagoshi Ni Kinsei, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Please read them, they're great reviews!

Also, I am really interested in getting this site reviewed. If you know of any great review sites, and would like to submit this site to them to be reviewed, please do so! I am really interested to hear what others think of us.

Thank you for reading today, please enjoy the rest of the site! Also, I've noticed that the tagboard is getting a little deadish. Please post and leave messages in the guestbook! Thanks, and enjoy the site!

    Reviews + Copyright Information - 12/5/04

A ton of new reviews have been added to the site today!

Jessica (Sailor V) has submitted her reviews for all of the December songs. Jessica has also submitted a review of her favorite song, please check it out!

Jessica has also donated a linking banner. Thank you so much!!

Ilse has submitted her review of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Please enjoy it!

I have also added my reviews for all of this month's reviews. I know I was a little slow on the uptake guys, but it's all good now!

Before I go, I would like to thank Justin for the lovely gift he gave to this site. Please check it out!

That's all for today. I really doubt that there will be an edit later tonight, as it's already 4 PM and I need to get started on the homework. Thank God I got my Christmas shopping completely out of the way this weekend ^ ^; Later everyone, and enjoy the site!

    Translations + Staff + Reviews - 12/2/04

Tons of stuff has been updated today. Let's announce the list of songs that have been reviewed first:

Ruth (Sailor Neptune) has submitted her reviews for all five songs! Please check them out!

Topaz (Sailor Mercury) has submitted her reviews of Katagoshi Ni Kinsei and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Ilse (our new Dark Sailor Mercury!) has submitted her reviews for Romance and Katagoshi Ni Kinsei.

Yesterday I forgot to mention that our newest Dark Sailor Mercury, Ilse, was added to the staff page. Ilse is a fellow Dutch person! I'm so happy to have someone else to speak my mother-tongue with! She's pretty young, but I expect all of you to be nice to her! And if her reviews aren't in *perfect* English, leave her alone about it!!

Today I also romanized and translated the lyrics for Happy Time, Happy Life, the newest Komatsu Ayaka song. We are officially the first site on the internet to have the English and romanized translation of this song! WOOT! As such, I am not giving permission to anyone to use the lyrics outside of review use. If you find these lyrics on another site, you know where they came from ^ ^' As such, if you find theft, please let me know about it. I've had problems in the past with people stealing my lyric translations. Although these lyrics are for your use, people shouldn't steal them and put them on their websites. If you want the translations on your website, go learn Japanese and translate it yourself.

Also, since I'm on a rant, I thought that I should mention the proper name of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is NOT Kiss2 Bang2. If you listen to DJ MOON 3, where they announce the song, they pronounce it "KISU KISU BANGU BANGU", which in English would be "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang". I don't care how they romanized it on the CD covers, I'm going by how the girls said it.

Anyway, expect more reviews tomorrow. I haven't had the time to bang out my reviews, but that'll most likely happen this weekend. I'm not going to update anymore tonight, because I'm dead tired and my head is hurting since I've been staring at my damned monitor for too many hours doing work. Thank you for visiting the site today, now, go and enjoy reading the reviews!

New songs for review - 12/1/04

Dear GOD! I've just spent nearly two hours coding in reviews that I have received for December in advance. January's reviews have also been announced, so you can click here to check them out.

November's reviews have been archived. If you need to check out the reviews from November, or just want a good read, please feel free to visit!

Emo-chan has submitted the following reviews for December already: Romance, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, I'm Here, and Sayonara. Please enjoy!

Topaz has submitted her reviews for I'm Here, Romance, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Ciao has also submitted her reviews for Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Romance.

No one (including me) has submitted any reviews for Katagoshi Ni Kinsei yet, which is why there is no link for reviews. It's not a mistake, don't worry!

Anywho, that's all for now. There may be an edit later tonight, but I doubt it. I have two tests tomorrow for AP subjects and it's not likely that I'll be online much after my boyfriend shows up here. Enjoy the site, and have a good day!
