January 2005 Updates

End of the month stuff - 1/31/05

The updates for today aren't really exciting, since the new set of reviews doesn't start until tomorrow, when the March reviews are announced and the February songs go up for download, and everything else gets archived. This update is just to tie up all the loose ends that I find myself straggling through.

First off, two reviewers have been removed due to lack of input. I was sick and tired of getting sloppily done and late reviews, and I got pissed and kicked these people off. Yes, I can do that! Who would have thought I would have actually taken action when I said I would?

As a result, the positions for Sailor Mars and Jedite are now up for grabs. You can own the positions today by signing up on the join page. As a ridiculous bit of BSSM coincidence, I found it interesting that the two reviewers who were removed had positions in which their characters were lovers in the Silver Millenium. Then again, I suppose all of the characters in PGSM/BSSM are related somehow, eh? But, I digress:

Laurana has submitted her final review for January. Please check out what she had to say about Happy Time, Happy Life. Even though it's up here late, she actually got the review in on time. I just spent a lot of time this weekend partying with Tim at the joy of being finished with my more difficult classes for the year, and with all of my mid-terms.

On that note, I would like to thank everyone who prayed for me/wished me good luck on my math regents! I ended up scoring an 80, definately a passing grade! WOO HOO! I'm so happy that my studying and your good wishes paid off. Thank you for your support everyone!

Due to popular request, the Serecindra Testimonial link has been placed on the navigation panel. Aparently people didn't like scrolling to find the link for the page, so there it is. Someone who read the testimonial went and bugged Serecindra about it, so now she's off blaming me, as usual. Perhaps I should update the testimonial with the current flames I've been getting from her lackies...At any rate, hopefully I'll be getting fewer complaints about the location of the testimonial since it is now in an easier-to-find location.

As a sidenote, thank you to everyone who has complimented me on the testimonial itself. The damned thing took forever to write, and I'm glad that all of those who have taken the time to read it have enjoyed it so much. I haven't received one flame from anyone who didn't admit to being sent by Serecindra, which I think is an accomplishment. Though, I wonder if Serecindra realizes the more she has her friends harass me about what I wrote, the more likely I am to write more about her. Hmm. Something to consider.

On a lighter note (damn, there are a lot of "notes" in this update today, ne?) I have added a new affiliate! I'm not really sure why this wasn't done sooner (like when the site was first constructed, before it even went online), but I am FINALLY affiliated with The Sailor Moon Pocky Box, Sat's wonderful Sailor Moon website review! Please check out the site, it is TRULY amazing!

However, I've removed two affiliates. Rainbow Tour closed, and I just didn't feel comfortable with affiliating with a reviewer who I went sour with. I hope that's okay with everyone.

Finally, I have figured out how to make really nice looking animated buttons! So, sometime this week (probably with tomorrow's update) I will have switched out those old, ugly things I've made with something much newer, and nicer looking to boot! Look forward to it.

That's all for today. Please enjoy the site, and come back tomorrow for the new reviews!

Hooray! - 1/27/05

My college application to University at Albany is finished! Writing my essay was brain-racking, but it's all done now! HOORAY! *cheers for herself* Ahem. Anyway. On to the updates:

Joy Azama (Kunzite) has submitted all of her reviews for the month! You can check them out by clicking here.

Lauren (Sailor Mars) has submitted her review of Hoshi Furu Yoake. Please enjoy!

Sebi (Jedite) has submitted his reviews of: Sakura Fubuki, Miracle Dance Night, Sweet Little Resistance and Happy Time, Happy Life.

Laurana (Princess Sailor Moon) has submitted her reviews for the following: Sakura Fubuki, Miracle Dance Night, Sweet Little Resistance and Hoshi Furu Yoake. Take a read!

Tobias (Sailor Venus) has donated 2 more linking banners! Please enjoy them! Thank you for the donations, Tobias!

Okay, now it's time for me to get this rant out of my system. Reviewers, you should know by now that I do not accept one line phrases as adequete analysis of a component of a song. Why then, after three months of operation, am I still getting this crap? The next person that I have to tell to make their review longer is getting kicked out of the group. Sorry, but the positions here are rather valuable, and a lot of people want them, especially since every reviewing position is filled. Demand is high, and I have no room for slacking. I realize that life is busy, and that people have other things to do with their time, but if you don't have the time to make a decent review for five songs a month, then you shouldn't have a position here. If this isn't worth your time, then you aren't worth mine. I'm sick of sending out e-mails asking people to re-write their review because it is mostly plagarized, or because it is too short. I'm especially sick of my inbox getting flooded a day before reviews are due. People, reviews are *always* due on the 28th of each month. I don't like getting almost all of the reviews for the site the day they are due, or in this case, the day before. I could understand if you are having a particularly busy month, and it just slipped your mind. If that happens once here and there, I don't mind. But there are some people who are submitting things either on the due datre or past it, and I'm tired of it. Next time this happens, you're being removed from the team. I hate to be so strict and bitchy about this, but aparently this is the only way to get my point across.

That being said, most of the reviews are the team are excellent. They get their reviews done on time, and their reviews are beautifully written. You know who you are ^ ^; The above rant does not apply to you. I appreciate your hard work, and I understand that things happen. The above is directed at a few individuals who just can't get their act together. Sorry to have to expose you to my meanness =p

Thank you for reading my usual rant and raves, now, please enjoy the site, and have a wonderful day!

The Usual - 1/24/05

Welcome back everyone! I don't think I've gone this long without updating for a while, but I have a decent excuse, so forgive me. Let me begin with actual site updates:

We have a new staff member! Her name is Alexa, and she will be reviewing as Queen Beryl. That means there are no longer any positions available on the site. Sorry. Please welcome her to the team! She seems to know her way around pretty well already, but just in case, let her know the run-down!

On this note, Alexa has submitted her reviews for ALL all of the January songs! You can check them out by clicking here.

Emo-chan has submitted a picture for the staff page, please check it out! Also, Jessica has updated her website link - her Stargate SG-1 fanfictions are amazing! I'm a bit of a sci-fi nerd when it comes to Stargate, and I love her stuff, it's a great read. Please take a look!

Lauren (Sailor Mars) has submitted her review of Sakura Fubuki. Read it!
,br> Tobias (Sailor Venus) has submitted his reviews for Miracle Dance Night and Hoshi Furu Yoake. Check them out!

Nickole (Sailor Uranus) has submitted her review of Miracle Dance Night. Take a peek!

Please remember that there are only four more days until all January reviews are due. Please make the deadline, guys. Thanks.

NOW. To the juicy stuff (erm...uhm...yeah...) I've been working on a "project" of sorts for a while now, and it's finally done (for now) and online. If you are a great friend of Serecindra, and easily offended by the truth (heh...I can't wait for the flames for this one) then you probably shouldn't read. But if you do, please try to keep your opinions to yourself, because honestly, I don't much care what you think about what I said. It's the truth, and it's out there. If you don't like it, go whine somewhere else. I don't want to sound mean about this, but I'm sick and tired of repeating things that I think. You don't like it then...I dunno...go post your anger at her tagboard or something. I don't really want to hear complaints. I originally did this testimonial for Sat's website, Sailor Moon Pocky Box, but since I worked on it for so long and so hard, I decided I would put my own version online with some extra pictures and jokes and things. If you are interested, please click here. Enjoy.

The other bit: I took my Japanese mid-term today (hooray!) and I think I did fairly well. I am continuing to work on my college applications and such this week, as well as getting some last-minute homework in (yes, I procrastinate to make sure this site gets updated when it needs to be) and studying for other tests. Please wish me luck!

Thank you for your support everyone! Thank you for visiting this site so often, and for submitting wonderful reviews! I am really grateful to everyone who visits this site or participates in it. So, THANK YOU!!

TONS of reviews! - 1/20/05

Before starting the usual updates, I would like to announce that today is my baby brother's birthday. Today he celebrates his 13th year wandering about the world with his father in California. Happy Birthday, Maxwell!

Today there are 20 new reviews added to the site! As you can imagine, I am sick to death of typing and dealing with HTML, so I will try to make this update as brief as possible:

Welcome back Ciao! Ciao has been out for the last month or so due to sickness, but she's back and in full action. Welcome back to the team, darling!

Nickole (Sailor Uranus) has submitted her reviews for Hoshi Furu Yoake and Sakura Fubuki. Please enjoy!

Tobias (Sailor Venus) has submitted his reviews of Sakura Fubuki, Sweet Little Resistance, and Miracle Dance Night. Please check them out!

We also have a new staff member to announce today! Her name is Kaitlin and she will be reviewing as Kuroki Mio. Sorry to those of you who may have wanted that position! Please welcome Kaitlin to our team!

Also, please note that the only remaining staff character that remains is for Queen Beryl. Once she's gone, I doubt I'll be opening any more review positions. Sorry about that! Hurry and take her before someone else does!

Sat, Ciao, and Kaitlin have submitted their reviews for all of the reviews for this month! Please check them out by clicking here. They're wonderful reviews, please take a look at them!

Finally, a bit of personal news before I head out for the night: I am working on my college applications this weekend, and all next week are mid-term examinations. In between time will be spent on writing college essays and attempting to finish off my other projects. I don't think I'll be updating a whole hell of a lot, sorry everyone. You can expect to see me back and fully functional again next Friday night, since that is when my mid-terms will be officially over. I'll also be studying like crazy, since I suck at math, and my math Regents are this Friday. If I don't pass them, I have to repeat the course and stay in summer school, which doesn't bode too well for getting into college. Please, wish me luck! I can use as much as I can get!

As another personal sidenote, today my BEST FRIEND EVER Anna got into University at Albany, the school I'll be going to! Although she won't be attending since they don't have a great program for her major, she still got in! Congratulations Anna, on getting into your back-up plan school! O.o;;

AND ANOTHER personal note: I am taking fashion design next semester, and hopefully I'll come out of it knowing how to sew. Hooray! This means by cosplay costumes will become far better. Woot! And, I'm dropping AP Micro, Macro was teh sux =)

That's all for today. I hope you can enjoy the updates without paying much attention to my usual teenage ramblings. Enjoy the site, and keep coming back!

Reviews + Pictures! - 1/16/05

Man, I'm on a bit of an update spree here. Looks like I've updated every day faithfully for four days now. If I keep this up, I'm going to have to archive this month's updates a bit early to make room on the main page =)

Anyway. Our lovely Ephie (Zoicite) is donating money to us next week! Hooray!! I can't wait until I get to move everything =) The move is going to be a lot of work, but well worth it since it'll make the site run so much faster. The package I'm considering upgrading too (depending on how much these donating people give me, no one has really given me an exact amount o.O;) has three free domain names that come with it - so maybe this site will get it's own domain! Wouldn't that be cool? Please tell me your feelings on this on the tagboard

Ephie has also submitted her reviews for this month...ALL of them! You can check them out by clicking here. They're amazing, truly some of the best stuff on this site. Take a peek!

Nickole (Sailor Uranus) has submitted her review of Happy Time, Happy Life. Please check it out as well!

There are also a lot of new pictures to add to the staff section today! Keith and Ephie have submitted their pictures, hooray! I should have mine up some time this week, if I ever get the damned webcam to work again...*sigh*...

Also...THANK YOU!!! So many of you have given me wonderful comments on the new layout! I'm happy that everyone enjoys it so much =) I had almost 20 e-mails alone this morning complimenting it (and a few asking if they could use it when I'm done with it...o.O;;;...no.). Thank you for the compliments! They really made my day.

I think that's it for today. Please check out the new additions, and as always, enjoy your stay =)

Layout + Reviews - 1/15/05

The most noticeable update of the day I suppose is the new layout! Please enjoy it. I worked pretty hard on it. Over 3 days in development and around 4 hours of coding. I hope it was worth it! Also, the old layout has been archived, so if you missed it the first time around, you can check it out there. Good luck trying to steal the layout the way I've archived it ^_^

Also, Laurana, who reviews as Princess Sailor Moon, has submitted her staff photo! You can check it out by clicking here.

Our darling Joy Azama, who reviews as Kunzite, is also donating money to the site's server upgrade fees. Thank you so much Joy!

We also have a ton of reviews to announce today. Jessica, who reviews as Sailor V, has submitted her reviews for all of January's songs. You can check them out by clicking here.

Lauren, who reviews as Sailor Mars, has submitted her review for Sweet Little Resistance. Please check it out!

As for everything else...well, I won't be on much this weekend. I'm going to be pretty busy with friends. Today I'm going to the mall with some friends and picking up the needed fabric for a cosplay project I'm working on (Kefka from ff6 is a serious task, especially when the costume has LOTS of fabric, and it must fit your 6'1" boyfriend properly), as well as for my Saior Galaxia. cosplay project. I'm ALSO getting a pattern for my Celes cosplay as well, for her opera gown. Arg. Thank God for friends who are loose with their money and love spoiling me =) Also, on Sunday, I'm going out to see House of Flying Daggers with my bestest friend, Anna. So don't expect a whole lot of updating =) I should be back Monday morning though. Have a great weekend, and enjoy the site!

Images + Reviews - 1/14/05

HOORAY! Two lovely staff members, Kero-chan and Frosted_Rain are donating money to the site! I'm so happy! This means that sooner than later, we will be upgrading to a new server! Thank you Kero-chan and Frosted_Rain for your help!

Today, Kero-chan has finished off his reviews for the month. His newest reviews are for Happy Time, Happy Life, Hoshi Furu Yoake, Sakura Fubuki, and Miracle Dance Night. Great reviews! Please check them out, everyone!

Frosted_Rain's idea of having the staff submit pictures is a success! Already, Kero-chan, Frosted_Rain, and Ruth have submitted their pictures for the site! You can find them in their beautifulness on the staff page.

I have also re-organized the staff page a bit, so that you can choose who you want to find out about at the top of the page, instead of scrolling through the entire page to find the one bit about the reviewer you're looking for. Hooray for page anchors! I never thought I'd end up using those on a website (the only website I can think of that uses them excessively is Save our Sailors, which I'm not real fond of recently) but here they are. Personally I think it makes the staff page a little more organized. I think I may also begin to include page anchors on the reviews as well, so that if you want to look over your review, you can just click your name and it'll bring you to it. What do you think? Please leave your comments about this on the tagboard...

Also, I am actually doing something about the layout of this site! I never imagined that this site would grow as large as it has (but I'm happy about it!) and the old layout just doesn't really fit the amount of stuff on here anymore. So, I plan on making a new layout this weekend. Hopefully it'll be of Usagi and Mamoru again, but I can't promise anything. At any rate, it is time to replace this tired old layout of mine! Please look forward to a new layout soon!

Thanks for reading this long update, now, please go check out the reviews!! Have a nice day!

Reviews + News - 1/13/05

Welcome back to the site, everyone! Today I have quite a few of new reviews to publish, as well as some interesting tidbits of news. Let's begin with the reviews:

First up, Frosted_Rain (Nephrite) has submitted his reviews for Hoshi Furu Yoake and Sakura Fubuki. He has also replaced his old favorite song, Friend, with his new favorite song: Mi Amor. Please check out his reviews! They're great!

Frosted_Rain has also made a bit of a suggestion to me which I think is a great idea. I ask that all staff members please submit a picture of themselves to me for posting on the staff section of the site, so that the rest of the world can see what we look like! If you are too shy to post your picture, or do not have one, please just let me know about it and I'll make an exception in your case. I have sent out an e-mail to almost all of the staff members, so if you didn't get the e-mail, please just get back to me on the subject.

Also, I still need some donations to the site for bandwidth problems. Frosted_Rain has contributed somewhere in the likes of $10 (details still being worked out), but in order to completly upgrade, we need somewhere in the range of $60 altogether. So until I get that amount, there isn't really anything I can do to make the site any faster. If you have anything to donate, even a few bucks, it would be appreciated. Send all e-mails to elly@reisei-sa.net. Thank you for your support.

Our very own Emo-chan (Sailor Luna) has submitted her reviews for each of the songs up for review this month. Great job, Emo-chan! Keep up the hard work! Check out Emo-chan's reviews, they are also wonderful!

We also have a new affiliate to announce today! Many of you may have visited this site already: Ashita No Wings, run by the famous Kaaj of Kaaj_Si's Bounce Pad. Kaaj is a favorite in the IRC pgsm channel, and knows a lot of the OPs who helped to distribute many of the PGSM acts and such when they were released! Kaaj is also good friends with SailorJupi, who runs one of my favorite sites, Sailor Dream. Please check out Kaaj's site, even though it is still under construction, it has great potential!

Also, I am working on a bit of a project, which means that even though I'm not in school this week (I'm not feeling too great, but it's not in the physical way), I won't be working on this site as much as usual. Reviews and things will have a 1-2 day lag if things get too busy. I really want to get my project out of the way so that I don't feel like it's lingering over me. I hope everyone can understand. Anyway, please enjoy the new reviews, and check out our new affiliate! Have a great day, and enjoy the site!

ANOTHER New member! - 1/11/05

Can you believe it! There is already another new member! His name is Kero-chan, and he will be reviewing as Tuxedo Mask. Also, we have another new member that I announced yesterday. Her name is Ephie and she will be reviewing as Zoicite. Only two more positions are left on the site! Queen Beryl and Kuroki Mio remain: the bad guys! Please sign up soon if you don't want to be left out of the team!

Kero-chan (Tuxedo Mask) has submitted his review of Sweet Little Resistance, please check it out!

That's all for today. There's not a whole lot to report, other than that I am working on a new layout. Please look forward to it! Enjoy the site, and come back soon!

Another New Member + Gifts - 1/10/05

As you may have read on the last edit, I have become affiliated with Eternally Sailor Moon. I have also applied and have been accepted (woot!!!) as an affiliate to a wonderful site called The Oracle. Hooray! Also, I have become affiliated with Lauren (Sailor Mars) site, Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, Yay!

Lauren (Sailor Mars) has also donated quite a bit of stuff to the site today! She has given us a wonderful gift to celebrate our first 2,000 hits, as well as 2 new linking buttons. Her donations have also been corrected on the honourable mentions page!

As you may have noticed, are bandwidth problems are a little better today due to the slow down of all the traffic. I would really like to avoid another situation in which it takes nearly 20 minutes on cable to download just the index of this website, so if you have any extra money and would like to support this site, please drop me a line by sending me a small e-mail at elly@reisei-sa.net. Thanks.

Anywho...we have another new review today by the wonderful Nickole (Sailor Uranus). Her review is of Sweet Little Resistance; please check it out! Also, a correction on the staff page has been made to Nickole's website URL. Please visit her site at it's new location!

We have a new member to the site to announce today! Her staff profile is not yet online, but expect to see it within the next few days. She will be reviewing as Zoicite. Please welcome her to the team when you get a chance! Sorry to those who may have wanted the position, but if you snooze you lose!

That's about all for today. A layout change should come in the next few weeks (school is getting particularly busy for me, with midterms coming up and deadlines for scholarship applications and writing my college essay. Blegh! I hate being so lazy...), so look forward to that! Please enjoy the site, and leave a message on the tagboardwhen you get a chance!

Reviews + New Member + Affiliation - 1/8/04

Welcome back everyone! Due to Shingetsu's link on their front page, we're having some problems managing our bandwidth. Who would have guessed that something so simple as a website plug on their front page would bring us this much traffic? I'm really happy about all of the new members and the new visitors, but I don't want the site to go as slow as it's going. I do thank Shingetsu for their support, but I really need some help managing the bandwidth costs. If you have some extra cash that you'd like to use to support this site, please drop me a line by sending me a small e-mail at elly@reisei-sa.net. Thanks.

Anyway, welcome our newest member, Joy Azama! She will be reviewing as Kunzite. As such, that positions has been removed from the join sheet. Sorry to any of you who may have wanted the position, but if you snooze you lose! Joy Azama's profile can be seen by checking out the staff page.

Also, today I have added my reviews for all of the january songs. You can check them out by clicking here. Please enjoy!

I'm toying with the idea of making a new layout for this site. Please let me know what you think by posting your comments on the tagboard. Thanks, and have a nice day!

Edit - 1/9/04: I am now affiliated with ESMoon! Wow! Nicole has donated a lovely linking button to the site as well. Thanks Nicole! I am also applying for affiliation at The Oracle. Wish me luck!

The weekend! Publicity is good - 1/7/05

Breaking news! Today we are featured on the front page of Shingetsu!!! Amazing! Because of this, our site traffic has tripled what it usually gets for the day, and another new reviewer has signed up on the site! Hooray! I'm not sure who they'll be reviewing as (since they accidently chose a character that is already taken, but that should be resolved in the next few days), but welcome this person to the team anyway!

Our lovely Lauren who will be reviewing as Sailor Mars from now on has submitted her profile, as well as her reviews of Miracle Dance Night and Happy Time, Happy Life. Please check them out, and welcome her to the team!

Also, we've attempted to e-mail Sailor Music.Net to notify them that we've linked them, and that we would like a link in their PGSM Music section (we are a music review site, afterall!) but it seems that their e-mail server is broken. If anyone has any way of contacting the webmistress of this site and can help us communicate, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, Sat's site The Sailor Moon Pocky Box is back online, and better than ever! Everyone, go join her forums! They're amazing! If you're looking for a good and honest review of a Sailor Moon/PGSM site that you like, please consider asking SMPB for it! They don't sugar coat anything, and they give really honest and accurate reviews of current PGSM and Sailor Moon websites. Ballads and Bows has applied for reviewing there, so look forward to seeing our review in the next few weeks or so!

On that note, if you would like to review our site, or submit our site to a review, it is fine, so long as you contact us about it first. We at Ballads and Bows are most interested in fan feedback on the site, and different ways to improve. However, we need to know that we've been reviewed before we can start making things better! Besides, we want to show everyone our reviews, regardless of how good/bad a particular website ranked us. So for those of you who have been asking about that, there is your answer =)

That's all for today! Hopefully this weekend I'll get my reviews of the songs written (reviewing and running this site can be a lot of work!) so look forward to it. Now, go enjoy the site!

A Pause in the Storm - 1/6/05

Finally, updates! I've been pretty busy with school the last few days, and since I live in New York, I have been getting my ASS kicked by a storm that's gone through my neck of the woods. I couldn't get online at all yesterday because of the wind and such - so my updates are being done today! ^ ^; However, I did get out of school a half hour early on Wednesday (the school buses couldn't get there until 1:30, even though we legally got out of school at 11:00 that morning - poo), and today I had a snowday! Woot! Anyway, here goes:

We have a new files host!! Thank you to Ruth of Junketsu for hosting our .mp3 files! We couldn't do the reviews without you Ruth-dear! Thank you so much!! All of the songs you can now download at a much higher speed! Everything has been updated and your downloads should be from the new server. Thanks again Ruth!!

We have a new reviewer to add to our lovely team today! Her name is Lauren (another Lauren, woot!) and she will be reviewing as Sailor Mars - please welcome her to the group! Her profile should be online in the next few days or so, along with some of her reviews! Go Lauren! To that end, Sailor Mars is no longer up as a position. Sorry to those of you who may have wanted the position, but if you snooze you lose!

Also, thank you to Frosted_Rain (Nephrite) for his reviews! His reviews for Sweet Little Resistance, Happy Time, Happy Days, and Miracle Dance Night are online. Please check them out!

There seems to be a bit of a misunderstanding when it comes to the lyrics here. I have stated time and time again that my lyrics ARE NOT to be re-distributed on websites, Live Journals, and message boards. Aparently, no one seems to understand this. Some horrible website had the audacity to steal my lyrics. Even with credit given, since I have asked everyone out there not to take my lyrics, this is still theft. Aparently it's come to the point where I need to make a black list for sites/people who take my stuff. Please note that once you have been placed on my blacklist, there is no way to be removed - even if you "change". 'Nuf said. Don't let me catch you stealing/redistributing my lyrics.

Anyway, I think that's all for today. As you may have noticed, everything on the site is kind of slow-loading, because of bandwidth issues. I'm going to try to cut down on bandwidth usage elsewhere on the server, but I'm not sure that this'll help much. Please consider donating a few bucks, so that we can keep our server online and as fast as possible. Thank you for your support everyone. Thank you for visiting the site, now, go enjoy the reviews!

Edit: 8:22 PM - I have added a new link to the links out page. I've also added a new name to the honourable mentions page.

More Reviews! ...And possibly a new files server! - 1/2/05

Welcome back everyone! I've got tons of updates for today, so get ready! There are *tons* of new reviews. Formatting them all was an exercise of the fingertips! But, the reviews are well worth it, so please check them out!

Our newest member Alexander (Prince Endymion) has submitted his last three reviews for the month: Happy Time, Happy Life, Miracle Dance Night, and Hoshi Furu Yoake. Check them out!

Also, Ilse (Dark Sailor Mercury) has submitted her last review for the month, Miracle Dance Night. Please read it!

Last but not least, Ruth (Sailor Neptune) of Junketsu fame has submitted her reviews for all of this month's songs! Please check them out by clicking here.

While we're on the subject of Ruth, her site and mine have become affiliates! Thank you so much for affiliating with our site Ruth! We love ya!

Also, Ruth may be hosting our files soon! As many of you know, getting files from where it is hosted now can be a bit slow at times, and it has problems with staying online. While I love Ciao and her sites, I want to offer the fastest possible downloads for my staff and visitors. Ruth is on her new server now, and everything is uploaded, so don't be surprized if you notice that the files server changes over the next few days. However, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ciao for hosting our files for so long free of charge. Thank you Ciao! We'd be lost without ya!

Also, two of our members have left the group due to time constraints. Please give your final goodbyes to Justin and Teresa, who reviewed as Kuroki Mio and Sailor Mars, respectively. Thank you for your hard work, good luck with your other projects!

Because those two left, their positions are up for grabs. Check out the join page and sign up to get the positions!

That's about it for today. Please enjoy the site and all of the reviews! Until next time, bye bye!

Happy New Year! New Reviews + New Songs - 1/1/05

Before starting the usual updates and additions to the site, I would like to thank all of the staff here at Ballads and Bows for all of last year's reviews. Even though it was only two months of work, I know that at times it was stressful, and yet you guys stuck in there and got your reviews in. Thank you for continuing your hard work into this year, it is very appreciated. Let's all work hard together again this year everyone! Now, since that's out of the way, let's begin...

Sebi (Jedite) has submitted his reviews for I'm Here, Sayonara~Sweet Days, and Romance. Please check them out! However...

December's reviews have been archived! u_u;

December's reviews have all been archived! In order to access Sebi's reviews for December, you will have to click here to get to the December archive page.

Also, December's updates have also been archived. If you need to check out any of December's old news (which, I'm not sure why you'd need to, but what the hell), there is where you need to go.

There are new reviews for this month up already! Topaz (Sailor Mercury) has submitted her reviews for all five songs: Sweet Little Resistance, Happy Time, Happy Life, Hoshi Furu Yoake, and Miracle Dance Night. Please check them out!

Ilse (Dark Sailor Mercury) has submitted her reviews for four of the five review songs for the month: Hoshi Furu Yoake, Sweet Little Resistance, Sakura Fubuki amd Happy Time, Happy Life. Please check them out as well!

Our newest member Alexander (Prince Endymion) has submitted his first two reviews! They are for Sweet Little Resistance and Sakura Fubuki. They're wonderful reviews, I suggest that everyone read them!

February's songs have also been announced! Please check out February's songs to see which songs will be up for review next month!

Also, on that note, I would like to say that after February, we will officially be out of directly related PGSM songs. This means that we will be reviewing actress singles that don't really have anything to do with the show, except for the fact that they are done by the actresses. Our friend Lisa from Three-Lights.Net has informed us that Kawabe Chieko, the actress who plays as Osaka Naru on PGSM, will be releasing her first album called Brilliance. Even though the album isn't scheduled to be released until March, Ballads and Bows WILL be reviewing the tracks on the CD (once I can get my grubby little hands on a copy!), as well as anything else the girls may come out with. This includes older things that the girls have released, like Be Your Girl by Kawabe Chieko, Koi Suru Soldier by Hama Rika (I liked Chisaki better, personally ;_;), Ame by Matsushita Moeko, 156P - 15 no Blues by Kawabe Chieko, and Ameagari by Matsushita Moeko. Once we run out of reviewing all of THAT, as well as the new Kawabe Chieko CD, and if nothing new PGSM Music wise is released, then we will start to review some of the older songs from BSSM and the Sera Myus. This should keep us going for at least another decade or so ^ ^; So, for those of you who have e-mailed me questions about the future of this site is once the series stuff runs out, above is my official rant! ^ ^;

Also, our wonderful reviewer's site Junketsu is moving to a new server! Once the server upload is completely done, I will update all of the links to Junketsu, and (hopefully) become an affiliate site with them! Good luck with all of your hard server work Ruth!

I think that's all for today. Please enjoy everything on site, and enjoy the New Year!
