July 2005 Updates
Sheesh - 7/28/05
Well, that didn't happen - ended up updating again anyway. I'll try to keep this short:
Ilse (Dark Sailor Mercury) has submitted two more Dutch translations, this time for Candy Baby and Mermaid. Also, I fixed a glitch in the Dutch Natsu Iro translation. It should work now =)
Kero-chan (Tuxedo Mask) has submitted Spanish translations for Candy Baby and Mermaid. Thank you for your hard work!
These two new lyrics seem to be in high demand. Just over the last few days, 150 people have visited these two new pages. That's a lot, for two lyric translations =) Anyway, I've corrected a few lines on Candy Baby and Mermaid. The translations before weren't wrong, but they weren't the exact phrasing that I was looking for in English. But I've got it now, and the lines have been updated. Enjoy!
Lastly, a staff member has been removed from the site for misconduct. As such, his position is now available. If you are interested in taking his position, please click here. A new staff member has joined as Sailor Jupiter, but I'm just waiting to get back this person's profile. Looking forward to meeting them, and seeing them on the board!
That's all for today. Enjoy the updates, and have a great day!
Again? - 7/27/05
Tomorrow is mum's birthday, so I doubt I'll be updating =) Here's some things for today, just to close out the month:
First...I would like to mention that July has been the first month that all Ballads and Bows reviewers have submitted all of their reviews before the deadline! Thank you so much for your hard work and cooperation, guys! This is really a step forward for us =)
Sailorasteroid (Sailor Pluto) has his reviews in for the month: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, Ravens Crying, and Air. Excellent reviews as always!
Frosted_Rain (Nephrite) has also submitted his reviews for the month, making it so that everyone has their stuffs done. Thank you! Reviews: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, Ravens Crying, and Air. Thank you for your hard work!
Ilse (Dark Sailor Mercury) has also submitted Dutch translations for the following songs: A Place in the Sun, Natsu Iro, Hello, Still..., and Sotsugyou. Thank you for your excellent work, Ilse-chan! You can also find the newly translated lyrics by going to the lyrics page.
I've begun working on another secret project, this one involving PGSM in one way or another. Look forward to it! I'm hoping to have the bare-bones of it online sometime within the next two weeks =)
That's all for today! Enjoy the site, and be sure to check out the new reviews!
OMFG! - 7/25/05
I had quite possibly the best 18th birthday ever. No, I didn't have a party. That was probably one of the best things about it - I really dislike large social gatherings, despite my outgoing nature. I know that sounds weird, but big crowds of people make me a little nervous - even sick in extreme situations. So, here's the run-down:
Tim got me neat stuff, which I'm not going to write about here because he specifically asked me not to (and because now he regularly reads my updates =p), my mom made me a cake shaped like a bunny, Molly is getting me a ps2 when she gets her next paycheck. Let me pause for a moment to give justification for this. I'm addicted to FFX. Last summer my ps2 was broken after a rather heated argument. I haven't had one since, and I've been going through withdrawls. The new ps3 isn't scheduled to come out for a while, and when it is released it'll be damned expensive and have hardly any games for it for at least another year after that. I don't want to wait until the price comes down to play FFX. I'd rather just have the PS2 now. Are we good? Okay, let's continue: My friend Pat bought me a new orchid, as well as new stuff to take care of my older orchid with (I love gardening, and taking care of Orchids is one of my newest hobbies. And no, I'm not one of those people who buys the plant and lets it die. Ask Molly, I LOVE gardening, and I take good care of my orchids! And I've done lots and lots of research to ensure that I don't kill them!! ^ ^;). He also bought everyone pizza!!
A day later, I got a package in the mail from CD Japan. "CD Japan?" I said to myself, as I looked at the package Molly carried into my room for me. Then I saw who it was from - Ruth of Junketsu!! OMFG! I was SO SO happy!! I really wanted the new single, but I actually hadn't thought of buying it or getting it from anyone. What a spaz I am! I am SO grateful Ruth, thank you for buying me the CD! The CD came with a poster, and lots of other neat stuff, of which you can peruse by clicking here. Or you can just go to the specials page, and click on the Kawabe Chieko candy baby/mermaid translations page =)
So in short, my birthday weekend was awesome. I spent a lot of time with Tim, and away from the computer for a desperately needed break =) I'm back for now though ^ ^; And yes, I've done some work since I've gotten back...
I've updated the lyrics page, to include the new translations for Candy Baby and Mermaid, as well as two new Dutch translations for Air and Break Through.
I've also updated the gifts page, with two new presents people sent me for my birthday. Thank you so much for the cute little images!!
As you may have noticed if you are an Opera user, there is now a new version of the layout that is functional for those using the Opera browser. Aparently Opera didn't like the Javascript I'm using for the other two versions of the layout, so I made a version that reverts back to old iframes. Unfourtunately there is not an Opera-and-dial-up-friendly version of the website yet, and I don't know that there will be unless someone specifically requests it. Sorry about that ^ ^; I'm trying to make this site user-friendly, but I think four different versions of one layout is just a little too excessive for my tastes =)
That being said, I would like to remind everyone that I do not like being e-mailed so that you can ask me for extensive details of things that happen in my life. Please mind your own business in matters that do not concern you. I have no intention of being involved in any internet drama, and these days I like to keep to myself and update my websites. So from now on, I will not even be responding to such e-mails with any polite responses. I won't even respond at all, I will just promptly throw these kinds of letters away.
Furthermore, I will not be adding any new people to my messenger list. My AIM contact information has been removed from the site, and if things continue the way they have been, I will also be removing my e-mail information. If you need to contact me, you can leave a message on the tagboard or forum. I am very sick of questions concerning personal matters, and being accused of answering said personal questions from other people involved. I do not like drama, and try to avoid it when necessary. Aparently, my doing site work and talking to very few people online has somehow still linked me to an incident online on some forum somewhere. For the record: I am not involved, and I am very unappreciative of being dragged into the situation. Nor am I thrilled that my best friend and room mate was mentioned. Neither of us are members of the forum, nor do we have anything to do with whatever is going on there. We both intend to ignore whatever is going on, and continue on with our work as usual. Please stop sending e-mails about what is going on.
For the record, I translate for Ballads and Bows and RinaKoike.com exclusively; all other translations that have been claimed to be made by me that you can not find on the two sites mentioned are either stolen, or are completely lied about. I am far too selfish and greedy to translate for others without being paid, or without their being a good reason for me to translate for them. In the case of Ballads and Bows, I translate because it is my site and I enjoy doing it; in the case of Rina Koike.com, the webmaster was going to have to close down his website unless he found a translator to replace the one he used to have but had a falling out with (I'm assuming). His translations are done free of charge by me, because I enjoy his site and do not want to see it go offline. Besides of which, I am a good friend of the webmaster, and enjoy doing the favor for him =)
Lastly...I am not accepting any more new affiliates. I'm not going to go into specifics, but the general reason why is because I don't really keep in touch with a lot of the people on my affiliates list, and I don't like being used as advertisement for other sites. I know that it may sound a little harsh to those who want to affiliate, and a little self-centered for people who aren't, but that's just the easiest way to put it. If you want to make your site more popular, try working on it harder instead of asking me to put your button somewhere on my site. Over the next few weeks I'm going to be phasing out some affiliates who do not keep in touch with me anymore, so if you have been removed please do not be offended. You are more than welcome to re-apply, and I will re-consider adding you back if you actually talk to me on a regular basis. Please do not ask me for any more reason than that; I have decided to keep the individual involved nameless so that no drama is made from this. I've already got more than enough to deal with IRL.
That's all for today. Please enjoy the site, and be sure to check out the new Kawabe Chieko stuff!
The birthday girl - 7/19/05
In three days' time, I will finally be of age in America. That's right. I'm turning 18 on the 22nd. Hooray for legally purchasing lottery tickets at Molly's whim! So, before my birthday comes around, I figured I'd update the site a bit. Here goes:
First, I would like to thank Icera of Neo Nobility and the Deep Submerge Directory for finding the lovely script used on the layout to change the height of the iframe depending on the length of the content on the page loaded into it. You are a godsend, dear. Mean old Tim wouldn't lift a finger to help me fix the iframe problem on this layout, because I made some snide comment to Molly about how he thinks he's better than me at coding (which is probably true, but I'm in denial =p) and is a boob. Darling Icera came to the rescue, and spent some time finding links for scripts that could pull off what was considered by almost everyone else on my buddy list as impossible to do without PHP. To all of you who doubted, I say HAH! I have triumphed again, even without my own skill at work =) Also, a thank you to Hans (aka: The Lunar Archivist) of Moonstruck! for also attempting to help me solve the i-frame problem. While he never found the solution, it was fun searching around for scripts with him at 2 AM and bitching about the nastiness of Javascript =)
I have also received my review for Ballads and Bows by Delicious Radiance Reviews. It seems that the site is gone, but one of the kind reviewers was nice enough to send me the review they did of the site. I still haven't heard back from the official owner of the site about getting the review from the other person scheduled to review it, but whatever =) If you would like to read our review, with my commentary added (of course =p) then feel free to click here. I must say this: even though my grade was the same as the one received from my previous review by Midnight Reviews, I like this review a lot better. The reviewer actually provided solutions to the problems she cited, as well as reasoning as to why they should be fixed the way she mentioned. The review proved invaluable to me. Because of it, I was able to get rid of a lot of bugs on various pages of the site, and re-organize a little bit. Many of the pages have been completely re-vamped (like the rules page or the link us page) and many more have been editted and revised to be more user-compatible. I can't tell you how happy I was to be able to improve the site so much =) If DRR ever comes back online in full swing, I highly reccommend their reviews. From what I received from Phi, I can say that I very much approve of their reviews and the contents of them. It is VERY helpful for improving your site.
Ballads and Bows was also reviewed by a nice site called Live Start Reviews, with Miri-chan, our darling Sailor Saturn, as one of the reviewers. I received their review a few days ago. It is now also online, with my commentary. Thank you for the lovely review!
Now, for some news on the Kawabe Chieko front: both Ruth and Rose (of Junketsu and Shine Aqua Illusion, respectively) have informed me that Kawabe Chieko has a short PV of her "Candy Baby" track from her new single, "Candy Baby/Mermaid" on her website. The link to her website where it is featured can be found by clicking here. You can find the PV by going to the "information" page. It is the fifth link down, for those of you who can't read any Japanese or can't view Japanese text =) It is probably a better idea only to click the link if you have a good internet connection - it may take a long time for dial-up to buffer the streaming video. Kawabe's new single is coming out soon, which means it will be reviewed on Ballads and Bows probably for September. I'd say August, but I have no idea when Ruth (who is donating a copy of the CD's rips to the site) is going to receive her copy of the single, and because August is going to be a VERY busy month for me...
August 1-2 I'll be at University at Albany at a summer planning conference: basically, I'll be making my schedule for fall semester in college. I'm so depressed u_u; I have to repeat Micro and Macroeconomics in my freshman year, because of the fiasco that was the AP exam situation. They're the first two classes you take in Freshman year for the Business part of the MBA degree I'm going for. Not to mention that even though I've completed three years of high school Japanese (which is weird, because I technically only studied at the high school level for two years, started at Japanese 2 and took Japanese 3 last year) they're putting me in Japanese 101. Even if I take a language placement exam, the best they'll do is put me in an honors Japanese 101 class, which totally blows because it's going to be a bore. Oh well. At least I'll have a head-start in doing the course work, right? Classes start (I believe) on August 30th, so I'll probably be moving into my dorm sometime before then. Which means, the new review songs won't be announced until around August 4th, and September's stuff probably won't be online until sometime mid-September (unless I can magically find time for the site while trying to map out the whole campus, and get used to my classes and homework schedule, or convince Molly to be my site-slave xD) This site might even take a short hiatus, depending on how busy my schedule gets. Lucky for the reviewers, they'll possibly be able to get out of doing reviews for a month =)
That being said, I will try to update the site as much as possible until that time comes. I love Ballads and Bows very much (having put so much work into it, and meeting so many great people because of it) and I would hate to be apart from maintaining it. I love answering e-mails and reading the reviews others submit. I even enjoy coding reviews, even when it's tedious, because I know I'm working on a site that I love putting effort into. Running Ballads and Bows is my greatest hobby - it'd be hard put for me to just leave it alone for long periods of time. So though my schedule may get busy, and though I might not be able to update as often as I'd like, it will still be online and updated as much as I possibly can find time for. Don't worry, Ballads and Bows will still be around, with reviews (hopefully) each and every month.
Heh, you must be tired after reading such a long rant. It's over for now =) Browse around the site to notice all of the spiffy changes. I'm going to go back to reading the new Harry Potter book, muahaha! Oh right. FAQ has been updated with answers to two more questions. Enjoy, and have a lovely day!
I don't think I've felt this lazy in a while - 7/15/05
Like the new layout? I made it shortly after taking some of the criticism received from my review from Midnight Reviews to heart. It features darling Kitagawa Keiko =) I hope everyone likes it! This layout design was actually inspired from my affiliates over at Ashita no Wings. I split up the navigation a lot in hopes of making the entire layout more user-friendly. Of course, suggestions on how to improve the functionality of this layout are always welcome.
The old layout has been archived. Bye bye for now, Hama Chisaki!
Other than that, I still haven't started to work on the Serecindra testimonial, because I've been lazy as hell. I'll try to have it done before the weekend is out, but no promises on that. Look forward to it some time next week, since that is when it'll most likely be complete =)
Last but not least, darling Molly (Queen Beryl) has donated five new linking linking buttons to the site. Thank you Molly!
That's all for now. Enjoy the new layout!!
edit: 10:42 AM - Received two new Dutch lyric translations for Ravens' Crying and Kaze Michi no Ato.
Also received Emo-chan's reviews for the month: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, Ravens Crying, and Air. Excellent reviews as always!
That's all for now, I swear =p Have a great day!
Random Events - 7/13/05
The last few days have been rather boring. Here are some site updates for now. I'm not finished working on the new Serecindra testimonial (actually, to be more honest, I haven't really started, but I've got a working idea of what I'm going to say in my head) and there's not a whole lot to report on Ballads and Bows. But, here goes anyway =)
We finally got our review from Midnight Reviews. You can check out the review we received, as well as my own commentary, by clicking here. Enjoy!
Jessica (Sailor V) has submitted her reviews for July. Enjoy: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, Ravens Crying, and Air. Excellent reviews as always!
The creator page has been updated, with some pictures of myself (well, just one xD), Molly (Sailor Jupiter), my little brother, and Sebi (our original Jedite). Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to find it.
This isn't site-related, but I am really getting obsessive over Cillian Murphy, the sexy Irish man who plays Dr. Jonathan Crane/The Scarecrow in Batman Begins. I've been ranting about him endlessly on the forums, and I've made two wallpapers out of his sexiness. I figured since less people are on the forums than who just visit the website, that I can share the wallpapers more if I put them on the main page. Here they are!
Last but not least, I'm going to plug my new site again. Go visit if you haven't already!! It'll make a certain Elly very happy =)
That's all for today. Enjoy the site, and see you around soon!
The best reason for being alive - 7/10/05
Yesterday was awesome! I know that the following is not going to have much to do with actual site updates, but I feel I've got to share this with everyone. Yesterday Steroid (who reviews here as Sailorasteroid, as Sailor Pluto o.O;;) came over to our house from Long Island for a visit. It was abso-fecking-lutely great! He got lost on the way here, but thanks to Molly's fabulous directional skills, he found his way here eventually. Our friend Sebi, who used to review on Ballads and Bows as Jedite (the original one, that's going pretty far back ^ ^;) was also with us.

After the movie, we all went to Chili's together, which was excellent. I got to play a round of DDR at the arcade, and I publically owned everyone there. So awesome xD I got those tasty little wax stick candies too, with the liquid inside. Those were so cool. We got back to my house and watched the first two Harry Potter movies in succession (because Steroid, Sebi, and I are all fiending after Harry Potter at the moment, since the 6th book comes out soon). Molly decided she was sick of our collective company about half-way into the first movie, and pittered off into her room with Rich (her boyfriend, who I freaking despise; she should really date Paul instead o.O;). We all moved into my room, in an attempt to ward off my little brother, and watched the second movie. It ended somewhere around 2 AM, but we didn't care. We all sat around and talked about Sailormoon and different people online who we dislike. It was a lot of fun being such a little gossip xD We ended up staying up until almost 7 in the morning talking and just being dorks. Somehow, we started off talking about some random person, and ended off with talking about what Sailormoon means to us and how politics is bleh and it was all really confusing. We had a very interesting conversation though; I could talk to Steroid for hours xD I kicked Sebi and Paul out of my room and went to sleep. A few hours later Steroid woke me up to tell me he was taking Sebi back home (he had work today at noon) and then going back to LI. Puu...we were all supposed to go swimming together too =( But, yesterday was so worth it. I haven't had that much fun in a long time.
Okay.../fangirl obsession... Now it's time for updates =)
De'Angelo (Sailor Mars) has donated five linking buttons to the site. Thank you!
G.E. Artemis (Sailor Uranus) has done (archived) reviews of Kizuna Iro, Quiet Riot, Ame, Shining!, and Koi Suru Soldier. Thank you for your reviews!
Anyway, that's all for today. Enjoy the site, and have a great day!
PS: VISIT MY NEW WEBSITE!! =p
Alas! A cornocopia of love! - 7/9/05
It looks like I'm already back from my mini-vacation. Steroid (who reviews here as Sailor Pluto) will be coming to visit Molly and I tomorrow!! Hooray!! I'll be sure to get lots of pictures of us lazing around and watching anime (and hopefully of the happy couple making kissy sounds, tee hee...I'm so sneaky xD). So, I won't be updating after this until he goes back home =(
Anyway, on to updates: Kero-chan (Tuxedo Mask) has finished off the Spanish lyric translations for now. You can check out everything he's added by going to the lyrics page. Thank you so much for your hard work, time, and effort!
Ilse (Dark Sailor Mercury) has submitted a Dutch translation of Tsuki Hi. You can also find it on the lyrics page. Thank you for your hard work as well, Ilse-chan!
I've joined Molly's new listing, Galactic Paradise. You can find my code on the 'joined listings' page. Take a look at her spiffy listing today, and consider joining if you own a website!
Darling Michiru of michiru-chan.net has kindly done a review of Ballads and Bows. You can find it on our new received reviews page, located here.
Speaking of reviews, Kagami of Midnight Reviews was kind enough to bump this site up on her waiting list. Hopefully we will be receiving our review shortly! I'm so excited!!
I've also updated the links out page, weeding out dead links and adding in a few new sites. Please check it out!
And of course, it's now time for me to plug my new website. Yes, that's right: I have opened a new website, entitled the "Sailormoon Funny Faces Gallery". It is an image gallery featuring some of the funniest and most unique faces made in the animated series, Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon. And yes, the rumors are true: this is indeed the "secret project" I've been working on for months. It isn't finished yet, but it's got a pretty good start for it for now =) Please check it out today!
Lastly, a new Serecindra article will be online soon. Look forward to it.
Enjoy the site, and have a great weekend! Bye bye!
Damn, another update - 7/6/05
I've been updating this site like mad lately - I really need a break. I'm going to try not to update for a few days at least, just so I can calm my nerves and get a little bit of a break. Hope no one minds =) I'll still be lurking around online, don't worry...
Molly has requested that instead of reviewing as Sailor Jupiter, that she review as Queen Beryl instead. All of the pages with Molly's reviews on them have been updated accordingly.
De'Angelo (Sailor Mars) has submitted his review for his favorite song, as well as an archived review for the song Romance. Enjoy!
Miri-chan (Sailor Saturn) has submitted her reviews for the month: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, Ravens Crying, and Air. Thank you for your excellent reviews, Miri-chan!
Finally, we have received a Spanish translation for the song Little Wing from a generous donor named Ana. You can find the song on the lyrics page as well. Thank you for your contribution, Ana!
That's all for today. I'll see you guys in a few days' time. Until then, enjoy the site, and have a wonderful day!
Omoshiroi, ne? - 7/5/05
Fourth of July came and went. I did nothing of interest; mostly hung out in bed and read the 5th Harry Potter book. Yeah, I know, I'm behind, and the 6th book is coming out soon. I'm not an obsessive fan or anything, but the story is alright, so I like to keep up xD Anyway, on to updates:
De'Angelo, our newest staff member who reviews as Sailor Mars, has submitted his reviews for the month: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, Ravens Crying, and Air. Thank you for your excellent reviews!
Ilse (Dark Sailor Mercury) has also submitted her reviews for the month: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, Ravens Crying, and Air. Excellent reviews, as always! Ilse now has more time off because she has 7 weeks off from school, so more Dutch translations are in the making! Can't wait for them!
Because I got bored and noticed that the specials pages needed some serious updating, I fixed a lot of problems and added some new information. Check it out!
The cast page has also been updated, since it was a little out of date. Enjoy!
Kero-chan (Tuxedo Mask) has been a dear and sent me five new Spanish translations for the lyrics of Aki Sakura Cosmos, Hello, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Leave Me Alone, and Shining!. You can find the new lyrics on the lyrics page. Thank you so much for your hard work, Kero-chan!
I've also done a small bit of work myself. I've translated the lyrics to A Place in the Sun, which is one of the songs featured on the Matsushita Moeko Special. The song is also up for download on the same page. You can find the new lyrics on the lyrics page with all the others. And, I did my reviews for the month: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, Ravens Crying, and Air.
Lastly, we're being reviewed! Serenity Reviews is the newest site that we are being reviewed by, and they are nice enough to have already contacted me about which reviewed I'd like to do my review. Hopefully I'll get the review soon. I'm looking forward to it xD Their button is on the bottom bar with the other two review buttons, just in case you didn't notice it xD
That's all for today. I'll probably be doing more translations soon, just to cure my own boredom. Summer is so great...I love having a lot of free time xD Have a great day, and enjoy the site!
And Again - 7/3/05
I was wondering if I should just make this an edit, but I feel like there's enough stuff here to make it a legitimate update. Here we go:
Kero-chan (Tuxedo Mask) has submitted his reviews for the month: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, Ravens Crying, and Air. Great reviews!
Def Soul has provided a corrected translation for Kirari*Sailor Dream and a new translation for C'est La Vie. You can find them on the lyrics page. Thank you so much for your hard work, Def Soul!
The FAQ has been updated with an answer to a new question. Please read before e-mailing me!
I will most likely update again later today, since I am expecting more Spanish translations from Kero-chan. Look out for that. I'm also making a 4th of July cake today, hooray! If it comes out any good, I'll put pictures of it online xD Anyway, enjoy the site, and have a great day!
Edit: 7:31 PM - More Spanish and French translations are online, thanks to Kero-chan and Def Soul. Thank you so much! Check it out by clicking on the lyrics page.
Damn. I can't believe I'm updating again already - 7/3/05
Few new things to add to the site today, ladies and gents. Let's begin:
Kara (Kuroki Mio) has submitted her reviews for the month: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, and Ravens Crying, Air. Thank you for your hard work and excellent reviews!
G.E. Artemis (Sailor Uranus) has also submitted her reviews for the month: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, and Ravens Crying, Air. Thank you for your reviews! They were great!
Last but not least, Ruth (Sailor Neptune) has also submitted her reviews for the month: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, and Ravens Crying, Air. Thank you for your reviews! They are wonderful, as always =)
We have a new reviewer to welcome to the staff! His name is De'Angelo and he will be reviewing as Sailor Mars. Welcome to the staff team, De'Angelo!
Kero-chan, who reviews as our wonderful Tuxedo Mask, has donated 11 Spanish lyric translations to Ballads and Bows! Sugoi ne! I'm so happy. You can find them all by going to the lyrics page.
Kero-chan also pointed out to me that the link for the Break Through song was broken. That has now been fixed, and the link works!
Speaking of broken links, Molly-chan (Sailor Jupiter) pointed out to me that some of the links to the reviews for the songs of July were broken. Any and all broken links have been fixed, and all review pages are completely functional xD
Today marks the one month and two day anniversary of this site being submitted for reviews from Midnight Reviews and Delicious Radiance Reviews. So much for that whole "we'll have your review done in one week or so" promise, heh. I am seriously getting impatient here, especially since I know I've been waiting for over a month since I log my updates...Feh. Who would have thought being third on one list, and second on the other would take both sites over a month to get a review done. Even if either site only did one review per week, I would have been reviewed by now according to their queue lists. So, on that note, if anyone is willing to thouroughly nit-pick, troubleshoot, and find bugs in this site, and give constructive criticism as well as ideas for improvement for Ballads and Bows, please contact me personally (or just do the review and send it to me) and let me know.
That's all for today. Enjoy the site, and have a great day!
The first of the month: What, you mean it's time to pay rent already? - 7/1/05
Lots of stuff for today. Let's begin:
First, all things June-related have been archived:
...updates have also been archived.
As you may have noticed, the join page has gone through quite a re-vamp, and there are tons of positions up for grabs. If you haven't already, please considering joining our stellar review team! Please be sure to read up on the rules first!
Ilse (Dark Sailor Mercury) has submitted another two lyric translations into Dutch, this time for Aki Sakura Cosmos and Route 99.
I've also completely updated the lyrics page, adding the five new translations for August's Matsushita month that I had forgotten to add before. Looks like I'll be doing it again at the end of July, when I have to translate the lyrics for whatever songs I'm doing for September. Wish me luck!
...Speaking of that, I am still in need of translators. Lots of people have offered to help, but so far the only serious contributor to the lyrics collection is Ilse. I am still looking for translators for French, Spanish, and any other language other than the ones already covered on the lyrics page. Please e-mail me at elly@reisei-sa.net if you are interesting in helping out, or drop by the forums and let us know.
As you may have noticed, the July reviews are online. Thank you Molly, for being the first person to submit your reviews for the month: Kaze Michi no Ato, Natsu Toki Ame, Shinkirou, and Ravens Crying, Air. Thank you for your hard work!
Darling Molly has also done the lyrics sheet for the song Air, which was previously missing. Again, thank you Molly!
I almost forgot! I have actually had the convention report and pictures and interviews with Sailorasteroid online for almost a week, and I completely forgot to announce it. If you want, you can check out the creator page and see all of the nifty additions xD
That's all for today! Thank you for reading this terribly long update, and have a great day!
