March 2006 Updates
March 22nd, 2006: New Translation + March reviews
Thank you to Ilse for sending me the new Dutch translation for 15 no Blues!
Also, Jessica has been very very kind and busy this month, and managed to send me her March reviews, which you can find by clicking here. Jessica was busy this month working on a dissertation for her university this month, and still managed to get her reviews in. Thank you so much for your hard work Jessica! Your reviews are lovely!
That's all for today. I am still trying to fix the cookie bug that exists for the layouts (you might have noticed that the skins randomly change when you browse around the site -- sorry about that!) and work out a few other little kinks. I am sorry to see that reviews will be over. I'll be cleaning up the staff page at the end of the month. Thank you for over a year of hard work, everyone!
March 15th, 2006: New translations!
Sorry for the lag in updates, but I've been pretty busy at school with midterms and things ^ ^; Anyway, today I have new Portuguese translations of Discover, Koi Suru Soldier, and Yakusoku from Camila! Thank you so much! You can find them now on the lyrics page.
Another announcement: after this month, Ballads & Bows will no longer have a staff review section. It is already the 15th of the month and no one has submitted any reviews. I simply don't have the time to keep up with writing reviews myself on top of school and maintaining this website and others, and aparently the staff doesn't have the time either. So, staff reviews will be closed after this month. I may or may not keep a staff page online -- but it will no longer feature members of the staff who were only reviewers. Staff members who did translations or other website work will remain.
Otherwise, enjoy the site! Ballads & Bows will from now on focus on translation of the PGSM related works out there. I had one day hoped to finish with PGSM and move on to BSSM or Sera Myu, but obviously that isn't going to be happening. I will have Kawabe Chieko's new works out in April if I can get a copy of them, and I will be starting to translate works by Sae, Moriwaka Kaori, Endo Yoshito, and others. Please look forward to it.
March 3rd, 2006: Updates Cleared + Drama
Sadly it is already the third of the month, and no one has sent in any reviews -_-: I will probably have my own reviews of the songs up this month online later tonight, if I get around to doing it. I have been extremely busy, since it is already mid-terms week at college and I have had a lot of tests to study for. Sorry for my absense. Anyway. As you may have noticed, the updates for February have been archived, so the page is a lot cleaner now. xD
Unfortunately, there have been some flames sent to staff member Camila, who so kindly provides our site with Portuguese lyric translations. To document this, I have created the flames page, where you can go to laugh at the idiots who attempt to mock our site and mission.
That's all for today. Hope to see some reviews in my inbox soon!
