September 2005 Updates
Slowly but Surely - 9/21/05
Getting things done slowly, but I think I might just make that friday night deadline I set for myself. Woo hoo!
I'm off to get some lunch and do some homework, but I'll be on again later on tonight to do more work. I am working on this website as much as humanly possible in my free time; it's just taking a while to get everything collected and back on track.
On that note, I would like to point out a new rule that I am putting in regulation as of today: If you do not turn in a set of reviews by the deadline for a specific month without having contacted me about it first, you will be removed from Ballads and Bows. I simply can not keep up with e-mailing everyone, reminding them that their reviews are due soon. I expect that members should be responsible enough to keep up with submitting reviews without constant reminders from me. I know this sounds harsh, but I really don't have the time to write out 5-6 e-mails every month telling people their reviews are still due.
That's all for today. Enjoy the site, and keep checking back for more changes!
Thank GOD! - 9/19/05
I AM ALIVE! Thanks to a brilliant guy in the computer lab at the library who knows how to by-pass the firewall on campus, I now have FTP access again. Which means that I can slowly begin to work on coding 20 reviews in my spare time. Ballads and Bows is by no means a dead site. I am sorry that it stayed on hiatus for so long, nearly an entire month; I will try my best in the future to ensure that this does not happen again. I still do not have my own computer. Tim is going to be giving me an old desktop of his in the near future, so I will begin to be able to resume the intensive work I do on this project once again very soon. I hope that you are all as excited as I am. I should have the reviews that I have received for September online by the end of this week, class and study schedules permitting.
I have not announced the November review songs yet, but I can tell you this much: They will be BGMs. I simply do not have the time right now (at least within the next week and a half) to translate five more songs and get everything for the pages online. I'm sorry to those of you who don't like BGMs, but it's what I have to work with right now. I am a little bit behind on the happenings in the PGSM community, so I'm not really sure if there is any new PGSM-related vocal music that I am already unaware of. (I know about the works of Moriwaka Kaori, the actress who played Ikuko-mama. I had intended to review her music starting in November, but right now the state of my schedule suggests that it is unlikely that will be happening as I had planned.)
I have already coded all of Frosted_Rain's (Nephrite) reviews for the month of August. They are uploaded and more reviews are coming soon. Please enjoy: Break Through, Natsu Iro, Hello, Sotsugyou, and Still. Excellent reviews, as always!
Thank you to those of you who e-mailed me in this time of hiatus in support of Ballads and Bows, even in the face of the silly drama that we have been mentioned in. Even without being online regularly for over three weeks, we were mentioned in several outbursts by different individuals and to refute their statements: Ballads and Bows has NO intentions of closing because of your retarded attitudes. I mean this in the most non-PC way possible. I will never close any website of mine because of other people that happen to obsess over me and try to "ruin" what I do on the internet. My personal works and projects will never be influenced by people who quite frankly aren't worth the webspace they spew their crap on. To those of you who thought that Ballads and Bows was a done deal: you're dead wrong. I'm happy to announce that we are back in full force and that I plan to keep this project that way.
That being said, visitors and staff: welcome back! I have a few new things in store for Ballads and Bows and I hope that you will enjoy being a part of this project as much as I do. Enjoy the site, and feel free to leave a message on the tagboard or forum. My e-mail box is wide open babes, so feel free to submit any/all reviews or comments to me. It's great to be back =)
FULL HIATUS - 09/08/05
Hello! Neptune here filling in for Elly-chan until she can get FTP access. I repeat she has NO FTP ACCESS to update her sites but has asked me to give the following message: The site is on HIATUS until further notice! What does this mean for us reviewers, well I believe everything is on hold until she gets back or finds a "surrogate webmistress" to do all of the coding and stuff. I would but I have little time to do anything once I start work next week. ^^; Note to Elly-if/when you read this, let me know if you need me to change anything...^^
Please do not email me with questions or suggestions or flames or reviews or whathaveyou as I will NOT answer you. Your email will just go in my little trashbin. I only put this up to help Elly until she can get back online. Until she does, take care of yourselves!
