Emochan's Review of Unmei wa Utsukushiku
Tone: This song is so beautiful. It has very sophisticated tone to it, which fits Neptune perfectly. It’s soothing to listen to and has a sweet sound. There’s a hint of sadness in the song as well, which does remind me of Neptune.
Placement: For an image song, this works well. It sounds like a song Michiru would sing. It’s not abrasive or too energetic. I find that to be perfect for her.
Memorable: Whenever I hear this song I feel like going swimming and listening to violin music. I really like this song and feel that it’s a beautiful piece of music.
Lyrics: The words match Michiru very well. She never whined or really directly spoke of her feelings towards anything in the series. But this song, as simple as it is, speaks volumes about her and how she feels about herself and Haruka.
I think it’s beautiful, really.
Overall Rating:

4.5 for this song. I really love Michiru and this song is just so beautiful. Her relationship with Haruka is one that I love in the Sailor Moon series, so anything that involves them is amazing.

What kind of memory could hold me still
So that I can never again turn around
I have a hunch about you
I extend my fingertip toward you

Emochan's Review of Solar Miracle Make Up
Tone: Very upbeat, but not one of my overall favorites from the Sera Myu songs. The voices don’t seem to be all in tune when I hear it, and it bothers me at times. But the sound effects do make it an interesting listen.
Placement: It sounds perfect for a “let’s get them!” type of scene. I haven’t seen it performed so I can’t say if it works well or not.
Memorable: Not to me personally. I don’t care for it too much. It seems too similar to other songs I’ve hear from Sera Myu. Nothing really sticks out from it to me.
Lyrics:
Maybe it’s just me, but the lyrics seem a little weird.
It seems strange to me that they would sing about dinosaur and fossils when the song seems more like a song about the solar system and space. The words seem right with the beat of the song, but the context seems a little off to me.
Overall Rating:

2.5 stars from me. I like the upbeat tone and the sound effects used, but the song doesn;t seem too special in the big picture to me.

Dead in a wasteland, these dinosaur bones
Fossils and flowers can be restored to life
Revolving to the contrary, it's time

Emochan's Review of Sakura Fubuki
Tone: One of my favorite PGSM songs! The soothing, almost salsa-like sound of the song really puts a smile on my face. I always think of Rei singing this song at the hospital in the episode where her powers awaken and she fights Nephirite.
Placement: As I said, it’s first heard in Act 23 by Rei as her alternate identity, “Mars Reiko”. She has to learn to be able to trust others, and is forced to perform in front of children. I think this song works well with the scene and portrays how Rei feels at this point in the show. I really liked seeing her and Ami sing it as a duet. The choreography for it sticks in my mind because it was so cute!
Memorable: This is my favorite of Rei’s two songs from the PGSM soundtrack. It seems more fitting for her character. It’s also one of my favorites in general and I love singing along to it. So memorable, yes!!
Lyrics:
Those two lines always stuck in my head when I first read the translations way back. I think these two lines encompass Rei’s character in PGSM. She is portrayed as such a stand-offish person an a rival to Minako. This is shown especially in the very beginning of the show. By the time we hear this song, she begins to break down and starts to let her guard down around Usagi and the others. The words to this song show how Rei battles her inner child and her duty as a sailor senshi.
Overall Rating:

Five stars. I love this song. The sensual feel to the song is very alluring to my ears. It is also one of the reasons why I started to really enjoy Rei as a character in the show. I can;t help but smile when I hear it, thinking about the little children swaying about as Rei sings it.

Emochan's review of "Rashiku" Ikimasho
Tone: What a happy song! Another one of those songs that get you up and dancing. One of my more favorable of the ending themes to the anime.
Placement: It seems more like a profile song for Usagi, so I feel it could’ve been put into the show at some point, but it worked well as an ending theme. Ending a series like Sailor Moon with a happy song like this is always a plus in my opinion.
Memorable: I would think so. It’s up there, definitely. The upbeat nature of the song always catches my ears when I hear it.
Lyrics: I personally find the lyrics to be a bit comical in the context.
For example,
The words do fit the personality of a young teenager in love. Trying to win the man she likes with her looks. It fits with Usagi, Minako, and even Chibi-Usa.
Overall Rating:

I give it 4 stars. This song has a lot of good qualities to it. The upbeat nature makes it a good song to end the series, especially with the lyrics used. The song itself much more memorable than some of the others to me and is in my top 10 of songs.

Listen, this weekend as I walked there was
This older man. I can have it both ways
I came to this point and I feel reasonable enough
What can I do with this pain?
I wonder if I can just abandon it
Winning him over with my sailor uniform
I'll go with "my looks"

Emochan's Review of La Soldier
Tone: One of my favorites from Sera Myu. It has a wonderful upbeat sound to it and it just makes me want to get up and dance. I first heard the song years ago from good old Napster and was hooked. When I saw my first Sera Myu, I was so excited to see that this song was included in it and I copied the dance moves. The song brings some sort of power through it from the voices. I adore this song.
Placement: This song pops up at just the right time. You know the senshi are ready to battle when this song starts up. It works well with the context of the shows they perform it in. Actually, I could see this song come up in PGSM or even the anime because of what the song brings out.
Memorable: Are you kidding? Of course it is! Outside of the fact that they perform it in pretty much every single Sera Myu, the beat of the song is so catchy! If I’m getting ready to face a bad day or my own “epic battle”, I will turn this song up on my iPod and go to town.
Lyrics: I think in the context of when this song is used, the words match pretty well. It;s obviously sung through Usagi’s eyes because she mentions love from a thousand years previous and it bings out her strength and hopes and dreams while being a soldier.
Lyrics like these set the backdrop for the song. As Usagi and the other soldiers prepare for battle through song, you feel yourself in their shoes. The words attach themselves to the listener.
Overall Rating:

5 stars, hands down. This is one of the songs that first attracted me to the world of Sailor Moon. It’s also one of the most common of the Sera Myu songs. The power in the song, mixed with the upbeat sounds and catchy lyrics, results in a song that sticks in your mind forever.

My heart becomes transparent down to the core
A thousand years I've repeated love's mysterious battle
From you comes love's moon light
I bask in it and am transformed

Emochan's Review of Ai No Senshi
Tone/Mood: This song has a great beat to it, giving the listener the urge to get prepared for battle! It has an uppity tone to it but pacts a punch with the mechanics of the instruments used and flow of the lyrics. It’s one of those songs I can picture playing as the girls are running through Tokyo towards the destination of their next fight.
Placement: Since it was only in two episodes, it’s not a very common song. But I think the placement of the song was pretty good. It would’ve been nice to have in a few more episodes, so it’s more easily associated.
Memorable: I know the song more than I remember the episodes it was in. Mostly because it was on Lunarock. Like I said, it would’ve been nice to hear the song on more episodes.
Lyrics: I think the lyrics for this song work really well. The words are pretty powerful in certain spots and give an insight to what the senshi fight for and believe in.
That verse right there is an example. It displays why the senshi do what they do. I think the lyrics are beautifully put in this song.

We'll show them the pure hearts of girls

Emochan's Review of Amazon Kara Circus ga Yatte Kita
Tone/Mood: This song always made me want to get up and dance. The catchy rhythm always caught my attention. The upbeat sound of the song gives a good reflection to what the circus was about and how sneaky it was by masking the evil intentions through song and happy dancing. I wanted to join the Dead Moon Circus too when I heard it!
Placement: It’s in my favorite Sera Myu! That’s an extra point for it right there. I think the fact that it was advertising the circus to everyone, being where it was in the Sera Myu, really fit it.
Memorable: I think of this song when I think of the Dead Moon Circus. The charisma of the singers is really memorable for me.
Lyrics: I like how dialogue is mixed into the song, it makes it more real and memorable.
It gives insight to the evil intentions of the Amazon Trio and I like how comical it sounds in the song itself.
Overall Rating:

I give this song a 4 because I really do like this song, and it’s the main song I associate with the Dead Moon Circus.

Overflowing with light, the dreams in this town
Searching throughout the world Wow Wow we've traveled around
"In the middle of all this"
"It's necessary"
"The lovely dreams waiting in this host"

Emochan's Review of Double Moonlight Romance
Tone/Mood: This song is so pretty! The beginning really builds up to the power of the song and what it represents. Then when the lyrics come in, it really flows nicely. The song itself is almost like a lullaby because of how soft it is and quiet. I really like that about the song.
Placement: I love hearing it in the beginning of the Sera Myu. Having it be the opener I think is perfect because it gives the background of what the musical will be about, since Chibi-usa, Pegasus, Mamoru, and Usagi all sing it.
Memorable: Since this is in my favorite Sera Myu, I definitely find it to be memorable. It’s a beautiful ballad that chronicles how the two pairs in the musical feel about each other, and I love that. I find this to be one of the more profound songs in the soundtrack because of how it is arranged.
Lyrics: The words in this song are really pretty. They’re expressive of how the four singers feel about each other and their hopes and fears. It has a powerful impact.
This section of the song is most inspiring to me personally. It connects all four characters and works for them all with how they feel. And have this in the opening of the musical really makes it even that much more profound as a song and story.
Overall Rating:

This song is a five all the way. It’s a very beautiful slow song, has a gentle tone and beat to it that makes me want to swoon every time I hear it, and really expresses what the fundamentals of the musical are. It’s a great song.

When I bathe in moonlight
I remember our love before we were born
Endlessly this tender feeling
Floods over me And I think of you, Why?
This is our fate, it hasn't begun yet
Our connection in the past and in the future
Will repeat over and over, a Moonlight Romance

Emochan's Review of Friend
Tone/Mood: I love this song. It’s so happy and upbeat. It’s a great song and has a sound to it that just makes any listener want to smile.
Placement: The only time it played was at the end of the last episode of PGSM, which was perfect. After regaining all their memories of each other, this song is a celebration of that friendship and I think it was a perfect song to end the series.
Memorable: This is one of the more memorable songs for me in the PGSM soundtrack. It has a drive and a catchy sound that makes me want to get up and dance every time I hear it, which is a big bonus! It’s one of the more powerful songs that the girls sing, too.
Lyrics: The words in this song relate to the hardships of having friends and how important it is to have them, and I really like that about the song.
I really think that’s what’s important and that this song is one of the best songs that represents one of the main cornerstones of PGSM as a series and storyline. This is a great song for friendship and celebrating it.
Overall Rating:

A five. It’s one of my absolute favorites in the soundtrack for this show and it really speaks to me. It’s a powerhouse of just being happy with having friends. I really like that.

We only get one life
Go my way
I want to have adventures, too
Happening again and again
Meetings and partings
The nights of solitude finally over
Inside the gentle winds
Your smiling face is always the same
Radiant
Even if we start to walk down
(winding road)
Separate roads
(special time forever)
Somewhere deep inside
We're connected
Go my way
I want to have adventures, too
Happening again and again

Emochan's Review of Moon Revenge
Tone/Mood: This has to be one of the best songs I heard from the Sailor Moon series. There’s a strong sense of determination portrayed in this song that always gets me when I hear it. Plus it has a rockish sound to it, and I really love that about this song.
Placement: I can’t think of a better song to play at the climax of the R movie. Seeing all the senshi gather their powers and seeing all the determination and love for Earth that Serenity has during this song is just great. I wish this song could’ve been in the television show at some time because it’s just a wonderful song.
Memorable: I remember the first time I ever heard this song. I remember how old I was, where I was, and how awesome I thought this song was. I think that says something about it.
Lyrics: The lyrics are so poetic in this song.
Those words are so pretty and the imagery they portray is inspiring to me. The words flow really well with the background sound of the song. The beauty of the lyrics shines through this song, and I love that about it.
Overall Rating:

This is one of my favorite songs from Sailor Moon period. It’s one of the first songs I really memorized in Japanese back when I first started really getting into the show, so I totally give this song a 5. I’d give it a 100 if I could! It’s that awesome!
