Nickole's Review of La Soldier
Tone/Mood: Hearing this song definitely makes me feel strong willed inside, as the deep sounding, semi-fast paced sound to it just makes you feel like you could get through almost anything! I remember watching the first Sera Myu musical, and getting all excited from hearing this lovely emotional song, which I consider as one of the best, if not the best, song in the Sera Myu stages. It definitely captures to tragic love between Usagi and Mamoru in the lyrics.
Placement: To me, this song was placed extremely well in many of the Sera Myu stages, I especially love how they are mostly set at the end of the performance, where all the actors come out and have fun singing and dancing to the song. It's great fun to watch and listen to! However, I would have loved to hear this song during a major battle in the Anime series, because it has a lot more power than a few of the songs they have picked before for the series.
Memorable: How could this song NOT be memorable!? From the first time you listen to it, it immediatly processes through you're head as a legendary Sailor Moon song, that you will not be able to forget! Everytime I think of the musical, this is the song that goes through my mind, the main image of what is Sera Myu!
Lyrics:
From you comes love's moon light
I bask in it and am transformed
Brilliantly, secretly, La Soldier
Continuing this way hurts but
With a smile we exchange goodbyes, no promises that
We'll meet again tomorrow
I bask in it and am transformed
Brilliantly, secretly, La Soldier
Continuing this way hurts but
With a smile we exchange goodbyes, no promises that
We'll meet again tomorrow
These lyrics basically say what Sailor Moon is all about! I love the themes of tragic love that continue throughout the song, it's truly lovely to think about while listening to the song. The lyrics are lovely, and the person who wrote the song lyrics knew what they were doing, and are brilliantly skilled at writing in my opinion!
Overall Rating:
5 stars for one of the most amazing and captivating songs in the history of Sailor Moon! It really pleases the ears of pretty much any Sailor Moon fan, even if they aren't a fan of the musical or haven't watched it, all they have to do is listen to this song, and they will know how delightful it is to listen to!

Nickoles Review of Rashiku Ikimasho
Tone/Mood: Just by hearing the beat of the first few seconds of this song, you can tell that it is a fast paced and rythmatic song. The 1990's pop rythm is apparent throughout the beat, and makes me want to get up and do a little dance while I listen to the song. It's mood just screams energetic throughout it basically, and you can tell this song is full of joy.
Placement: Since SuperS is my favorite season within the Sailor Moon anime, I would have to definitely say that they chose well to place this song as the second ending theme for the SuperS season. It goes well with the ending images of ChibiUsa doing cute things such as chasing her hat, or running with Artemis, Luna, and Diana. In fact, the song fits in so well with Chibi Usa, I could pretty much imagine her singing it, and I wonder why they didn't have her voice actor sing the song, since SuperS was majorly pushed upon Chibi Usa as the main factor.
Memorable: I wouldn't say that this song is one that I absolutely must listen to everyday, but it is still memorable nontheless, due to it's cute atmosphere about it. Still, when I think about SuperS or Chibi Usa, this is the main song that comes to mind first.

Lyrics:
Listen, after school, I saw this trickster
He looks like my old flame, it's love at first sight
Now my head is spinning, I don't want to get hurt
What should I do? I think I've decided
I'll irritate him on purpose
Winning him over with my sailor uniform
I'll go with "my looks"
He looks like my old flame, it's love at first sight
Now my head is spinning, I don't want to get hurt
What should I do? I think I've decided
I'll irritate him on purpose
Winning him over with my sailor uniform
I'll go with "my looks"
I LOVE these lyrics, and I am not surprised to say this at all, due to the fact that the wonderful Takeuchi Naoko herself wrote them, which would explain how well it fits within Sailor Moon, and the personality of Chibi Usa-Chan! I especially love this segment of the lyrics, because it reminds me of how every high school girl feels during their first brushes with love and such. I can certainly relate to these lyrics at this moment in time!

Overall Rating:
With a cute exterior, and sweet toned lyrics, not to mention a catchy beat, it's no surprise that I want to rate this 4 hearts our of 5! While it may be a great song, it's still not as loved among most Sailor Moon fans as some of the other endings throughout the series.

Nickoles Review of Sakura Fubuki
Tone/Mood: I really like the beginning beat to this song, it's soft, catchy and not really annoying at all like a lot of intro's to songs are. When Rei starts singing it's really lovely sounding, and I have to say that I prefer the first few moments of the song, over the middle half of the song. The mood of this song is kinda delicate and seems like a song meant for a rainy day.
Placement: Hm...I didn't really like the fact that they had Rei as Mars Reiko sing this song in front of a bunch of kids. I felt that they should have had placed the song in a more emotional scene that connected more to her.
Memorable: Actually, yes, this song is pretty memorable, from my point of view. It's a lot more memorable than most of the PGSM songs, which some of them are pretty annoying, and I like the fact that this one is pretty mellow and calm.
Lyrics:
These lyrics seemed to say a lot about how Rei is lonely inside, and I really liked that, so they are my favorite in this song. It goes deep into Rei's inner character.
Overall:

I really enjoyed this song, it had a lot to offer, even the first few seconds within listening to it. Pretty much not only one of my favorite PGSM songs, but one of my favorite songs of Mars/Rei I have ever heard before.

Nickoles Review Of Unmei wa Utsukushiku
Tone/Mood: The song starts of very soft and melodic, like you're at the ocean or something listening to the waves. They did a very good job arranging everything about this song, and the beat is rather catchy as well.
Placement: God, how I wish this song had been in the Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S series, in an episode revolving around Michiru and Haruka, it would have fit so perfectly well if thats what they had done!
Memorable: This song probably isn't too well known within the Sailor Moon community, but I am sure once you listen to it, it will catch you're interest and you'll continue to listen to it for a while, especially if you are a Sailor Neptune/Kaiou Michiru fan.
Lyrics:
Overall:

4 Hearts for such a lovely song! The arrangement, lyrics, and captivating vocal performance by the seiyuu Katsuki Masako, of whom I am such a fan of! Katsuki Masako is one of my favorite Anime seiyuu, and it is a rare treat to hear her singing such a beautiful song as Sailor Neptune/Michiru!

Lyrics:
This chilling storm wakes me up
Someday this distant dream
Will become the real
One I selected from them all
Believing that
I have the power to change tomorrow
Now these lyrics right here just scream a description of Michiru! In the S series, she is mostly shown visions of some kind by the ocean, or later on in the series she can view predicaments through her mirror, allowing her to discuss what she is going to do about it with Haruka, I immediatly recognized what this had to do with the series, and I am pleased that this song is so connected to Michiru/Neptune!Someday this distant dream

Nickoles Review of Solar Miracle Make-Up
Tone/Mood: Well now, the sort of eighties vibe that comes from this song isn't all that bad, it kinda makes you want to get up and dance along with the song, especially if you are watching the actresses on Sera Myu dancing to the song with their vibrant costumes. Solar Miracle Make-Up has a pretty "epic" mood to it, so it basically sounds important.
Placement: Hm...all I can really say is they did okay placing it within many of the Sera Myu plays. Nothing more too it than that.
Memorable: Not really so much a memorable song. Why? It's way too short of a song to care about too much, and there are far better ones out there to have memorized in you're head.
Lyrics:
I'm not sure why exactly, but this part of the song sounds strange if you read the lyrics, and it just seemed to catch my interest. The main song lyrics are kind of boring and pretty much what you'd expect from a song of the Senshi, also, it's short and mainly consists of them all shouting "Solar Miracle Make-Up!" which does get annoying after a while.
Overall Rating:

The order in the solar system revolts
The heroine and hero of the constellations will change
To the Big Dipper, to Virgo, go!
Shine for the sailor soldiers

Overall Rating:
Not one of the best songs from Sera Myu, it's main downfall is that it's too short, too repetitive, and just not much of a flavor to it. Still though, it deserves a three due to a semi-catchy beat to it.

Nickoles Review of Moon Revenge
Tone/Mood: Moon Revenge has always had an exciting sound to it, the whole composition of the song is dramatic and makes you want to just bust out and sing along to it. No matter how many times you have seen the Sailor Moon R movie, you can't stop listening to it, it's just got a great beat and powerful vocals by the main voice actresses.
Placement: Most definitely, this song was meant perfectly for the dramatic ending scene of the R movie, it really moves the whole scene along in a very moving way. When the Inner Senshi think back on flashbacks of when they were with Usagi, it's really dramatic and fits in well with the song and the battle.
Memorable: This has got to be one of the most memorable Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon song, to any fan of the series. Those who think and look back upon first viewing the movie, will say that this song mostly comes up in their minds. I would say that this song means a lot to most Sailor Moon fans, as it is arguably one of the best songs made throughout the series. I could definitely go with listening to this song everyday, it's that good in my opinion.
Lyrics:
I absolutely love the lyrics at the beginning of the song, they immediatly express what the song is all about, and really hook into you're head all the love themes explored throughout Sailor Moon.

I finally have it, a love I can hold on to
A person I feel calm around when I close my eyes

Easily gets a five out of five hearts! This song has excited and moved me from the first time I heard it in the Japanese version of the R movie, and has since then been one of my favorite Sailor Moon songs. I can't even think of how the R movie would have been without this key song!

Nickoles Review Of Friend
Tone/Mood: I think that the beginning of the song is really catchy in a sweet, melodic way, as it's not too poppy, or too slow. It's got a soft happy go lucky mood, and I think it's the kind of song perfect for listening to on a calm day by yourself or something.
Placement: A great song to finish off PGSM, it's cute and fits in with the feelings of the Senshi and even the other supporting characters as well. Maybe a more dramatic song could have been used, but still, Friend is an all right song for the end.
Memorable: Now, I don't really think of this song as really memorable, other then being the ending song to PGSM. Otherwise, it's an okay song to listen to now and then.
Lyrics:
The lyrics were long and such, but still had some good points within PGSM. This part is my favorite, because it describes basically how the Senshi still want to remain friends with one another, no matter how far apart they grow in distance. It's perfect for the end of the show.
Overall Rating:

Lyrics:
For myself
We only get one life
Go my way
I want to have adventures, too
Happening again and again
Meetings and partings
The nights of solitude finally over
Inside the gentle winds
Your smiling face is always the same
Radiant
Even if we start to walk down
(winding road)
Separate roads
We only get one life
Go my way
I want to have adventures, too
Happening again and again

The nights of solitude finally over

Although it's not the most epic Sailor Moon song, it's still pretty cute and I like it enough to give it three hearts. It's lyrics could have been written a little better, and that might have gotten it a four or something.

Nickoles Review of Double Moonlight Romance
Tone/Mood: The beginning is very lovely, soft and harmonious to the ears, it has a sweet and conflicted mood to the sound of it. When Pegasus/Helios starts singing, it his voice adds a lovely melody to the whole song, along with Chibi-Usa's really cute voice.
Placement: Perfect for the beginning of the SuperS Sera Myu musicals, it captures the feeling of the series, and is nicely tied together along with Usagi and Mamoru also singing with Chibi-Usa and Pegasus. This song has a dream like quality to it, which perfectly fits in with the whole SuperS image.
Memorable: Most definitely! I really enjoy listening to the beginning of the song, with out the vocals at first. But what I really enjoy, is when Pegasus and Chibi-Usa start off the song together, it sounds so adorable from a lot of perspectives.
Lyrics:
I love these lyrics, because it displays how Chibi-Usa first felt when she met Pegasus for the first time, it's so beautiful.
Overall Rating:

You call me a maiden
It makes me too happy to be scared
I've never seen anything so beautiful

I definitely give this song four hearts, not only because I am a huge Chibi-Usa x Pegasus fan and a SuperS fan, but because the song is simply pleasent to listen to, and not too overdone at all.

Nickoles Review of Amazon Kara Circus ga Yatte Kita
Tone/Mood: Really eerie and circus performance like for the tone and mood, it reminds me of a circus advertisement you would just happen to come across on the television on the weekend or something.
Placement: Great for the scene it occurs in the SuperS musical, it definitely displays how kooky the Amazon Trio actually is.
Memorable: Not really, unless you're a huge fan of the Amazon Trio. It's kind of a song that you enjoy while watching it in the musical, but don't really care about it otherwise.
Lyrics:
Paris, London, New York, Beijing
Barcelona, Moscow, Athens
In any of these towns, we've successfully hit idiot
humans
We're too popular to wait too much,
our bodies can't wait anymore
It isn't just us, these stars aren't enough
Barcelona, Moscow, Athens
In any of these towns, we've successfully hit idiot
humans
We're too popular to wait too much,
our bodies can't wait anymore
It isn't just us, these stars aren't enough
These lyrics are kind of humorous, as they remind me of the whole personality of the Amazon Trio, how they are constantly absorbed within themselves, always wanting to be in the spotlight, and thinking they have fooled everyone, when in fact, they really haven't.
Overall Rating:
I rate it as a two, it's not my cup of tea, but then again, it's still not too horrible of a song to listen to.
