Sailor V - Jessica
Tone/Mood
Alone, the lyrics seem almost down, though incredibly random. The style of the song makes it hard to judge the mood, but the chorus picks up the pace and feel of the song to quite positive. To me, it sounds like something I'd use to try and introduce my little cousins to Japanese pop.Placement
NoneMemorable
I don't find the song particularly memorable except for the fact that the style, even if it's a remix, wasn't something I was expecting Kawabe to be a part of. I think its rather different from her other tracks. If you didn't tell me Kawabe was in here somewhere, I don't think I'd recognise it as her, except for a couple of moments in the song. The chorus is annoyingly catchy though.Lyrics
I already became a model which is good but I'm still just 17 years old and I've got a way to goIf anything, the lyrics are certainly written to reflect the situation of both girls involved in the track. A lot of the lyrics don't seem to exactly make sense when translated to English, which is a little off putting. I would have thought the song was written to reflect the working life of Kawabe and her colleague in this as a selling point.

Sailor Mars - Cele
Tone/Mood
It was sort of a...how do I describe it...a down upbeat? It was calming and it seemed a bit sad. It sort of goes between downbeat and upbeat, I guess. It used a lot of synthesizer.Placement

Definantly not for me. It was too...blah. There was also rap in there, and I personally cannot stand rap. But even when it wasn't rapping, I've heard much better songs. It conveyed emotion, yes, but it didn't do it very well. It sounds like the sort of thing I'd use to try and fall asleep.Lyrics
Mom and Dad, you can't teach me about myself right/You two can't always answer my questions foreverI liked those lyrics. It's definantly true; parents can't always answer questions, eventually one has to find out things for themselves. Otherwise, the lyrics seemed sort of displaced and random. By themselves the lyrics can't stand alone, but with the song they take on a meaning.
Overall
I didn't like it very much. It was very blah, and I'm getting sick of music that's too obviously made on a synthesizer. I don't it's something I'll listen to again.
Nephrite - Frosted_Rain
Tone/Mood
The opening was very good. Along the song, it has a relaxing 80's but then rap. For me, it sounds way bad when Chieko did the rap thing. The rap part sounds bad, but the rest of it was good.Placement

It reminds me certain JRAP artists from various anime OST's. Mostly memorable is from the 80's (slow rap).Lyrics

These strawberry blues are really painful

Too much strawberry is bad. Way way bad.

The rap has a very strange way in the way she does it. The rap is unrecognizable (for me) from her pop-ish voice in the way she sings. It's the rap part that's disappointing. 3/5 hearts.
