ARCHIVED HTML - Aki Sakura Cosmos - Fall Cherry Blossoms Cosmos

Sailor Mercury - Topaz
Tone/Mood
Once again a kick ass opening. Beat, drums, guitar, and the little ugh by the singer. I turn my head to hear better. A wonderful sound of the signer comes on and you are starting to get up them bam! "Hoshi wo mina moeteiru omae no hitomi no naka de kagayaku tame " AH WTF! what is this the off key singing and the great sound goes right the window. But also I hear this and i can see a really good anime ending so. Don't you think?Placement

As i said in a earlier review. the opening is so great, but here i thought finally a good song, the singing was starting off well. I was nodding my head and then it went to my ears bleedingLyrics
I like the words. and come on you read the title of the song and you know you take a second look. Don't lie you know you do. I love the way he use Cherry blossoms and compears it to the cosmos."The blooms blossom proudly, the cherry blossoms in the fall in the pupils of your eyes.
Nothing you say lasts forever.

What is it with this guy! the sound is just great and the words are that of like a master but the singing. GGGRRRRR, a two
Kuroki Mio - Kara
TONE/MOOD:
I turned up this mp3 and went, 'Huh? This song is called "Aki Sakura Cosmos"?' Surprised me a bit, but it grew on me as I listened more and more. Remember on 'Route-99' where I said Endo can do better? This is an example. His voice is still untrained-sounding, but it's getting better here.PLACEMENT:
N/AMEMORABLE:
Yes. Definitely. They use the electric guitar to good effect, and it avoids being Just Another Thrash Rock Song.LYRICS:
The lyrics don't do much for me. I tried finding a set that appealed to me, but they all seemed about average. Doesn't diminish the song - this is one you're gonna headbang to and not listen to intellectually, anyway.OVERALL:
4 out of 5 hearts. It's FUN, and that's cool by me in this case.
Dark Sailor Mercury - Ilse
Tone/Mood
This is more like route 99, only this starts with more action in it. Yoshito is the second pgsm actor who's still singing and making career. I only don't get why the refrain is very different from the rest of it. The tone is very different, and it looks like it are two different songs.Placement

For this section, I think I'll need the whole song to say if it's memorable. For now I say, no!Lyrics
I want to dream of a love where the heart will really sing.I can't dream where things don't go sour from your song critizing and correcting.
I want to see a burning star only in the pupils of your eyes.
Nothing you say lasts forever.

Nothing, nothing, so far away
There are not many lyrics. Even in the whole song. Too bad. I WANT TO HEAR THE WHOLE SONG! T.T

Go yoshito, go go go, so 5 hearts. The reason is not really important, it's just because I like the song, so 5 and go for it.
Sailor Uranus - G.E. Artemis
Tone/Mood:
Starts out as a typical hard rock song, not terribly original. The singing has improved slightly, but it’s still far from good. But we mustn’t forget the electric guitar. That always scores points with me.Placement:
Cosmos Explosion, yet again.Memorable:
I’d say no, other than that the title of the album is in the song. I really don’t see anything about the music that stands out too much.Lyrics:
I actually really like the lyrics. They’re quite good.I want to dream of a love where the heart will really sing.
It sounds like he wants to fall in love with someone who he knows is right for him.
My spirit is a closed thing, but I feel all right
But he’s cutting everyone off from his feelings, because he doesn’t want to get hurt. That makes perfect sense to me.
Rating:
The lyrics are good enough to give it an extra star, but otherwise I see nothing special about it.
Sailor Neptune - Ruth
Tone/Mood
Holy freak I so thought I hit the wrong file to play. I thought I hit one of Metallica's songs at first. LOL! Another Rock song and I'm starting to think Endo-tachi likes to play rock. LOL! However, this sort of sounds like it would fit an Anime closing theme. It's an ok song, still better then Route 99 but not up to par as Hakana Kimono. ^^Placement

Sort of. Only if I could buy his stuff and listen to it. ;_;Lyrics

3 out of 5. Rock just doesn't suit Endo-tachi very well. Until I can hear the song in it's entirity, this will be my verdict. So-so.
Sailor V - Jessica
Tone/Mood
The mood seems quite high and hopeful, without a care as to what anyone else thinks, almost defiant. The tone doesn't sound that much different from Route 99, but it could be said that that would be typical of these types of track.Placement
None in PGSMMemorable
Unfortunately I don't find anything in this track particularly memorable.Lyrics
I want to see a burning star only in the pupils of your eyes. This line seems quite random but it's a brilliant image and it works so well with the 'cosmos' aspects of the song. For some reason all of the lyrics scream 'bright colours' to me, like how so many TV shows show explosions in space, like the big bang.

3/5
Sailor Saturn - Miri-chan
Tone/Mood
My first thought: "Oh great. Another rock song." As you can tell, I'm not a huge fan of rock. Anyways, the opening was wonderful! Yoshido-san's singing still wasn't very good in this song, but at least it was better than Route 99. The chorus is the best part, especially the line where he sings "Nanimo nai saegiru mo no hanaisa". The rest of the song was...not too appealing for me.Placement
On Yoshido Endo's album, Cosmos Explosion. I now understand the meaning behind the title. All of his songs seem to go {kaboom} in my mind the way they are so... firm and angsty (hm, I must like that word a lot).Memorable
Just the opening measures, before the electric guitar comes in.Lyrics
Okay, here's the thing. The lyrics are wonderful. The music that it is set to is not. Take a look at these lines here:The cherry blossoms scatter in the morning, flowing around the exhausted breeze.
I can see one person's blue garden pertaining only to the appearance of existing
Are these the type of lyrics that go into hard rock songs? At first I thought, judging from the title and lyrics, that it would be a slower pop or ballad song. Guess I was wrong, huh?
Overall Rating
2 out of 5 hearts. I'm still not happy with Yoshido Endo's album thus far, as it still doesn't have that special touch. This song was almost a copy of Route 99's emotional feel. Nothing special to differ between the songs.
Princess Sailor Moon - Kaitlin

Sounds pretty rock inspired. Such a change for a guy I associate with classical music.Placement

Meh.Lyrics
The lyrics page won't load for this song, so I'm not sure bout this part. However, I would guess it's similar to the last one.Overall Rating
3 - Better than the last song, but not fantastic.
Princess Serenity - Elly
Tone/Mood
Please stop trying to sound so hard-core in your music, Endo-kun. You just end up sounding kind of...stupid. Stick to the piano.Placement
COSMOS EXPLOSION by Amber Dust (band that Yoshito Endo is lead vocalist/pianist for)Memorable
For it's lyrics, yes. For anything else, no.Lyrics
If Yoshito wasn't trying to sound so cool and serious in the music, the lyrics would have suited the song a lot better. When translated into English, the lyrics are especially beautiful and poetic, but they really don't suit a hard rock song.I want to see a burning star only in the pupils of your eyes.
He sounds like he's singing a love song, but the beat definately doesn't go along with it.
I see a star burning, your heart dries up, "The flame is careful"
Very pretty lyrics, but this isn't as hard-core as Endo is trying to make it seem. Poor Endo. Please learn how to stop being such a poseur.

If the song went better together, it'd get a higher score. As it is, this song has earned a three thus far.
Sailor Luna - Emo-chan
Tone/Mood
OOO!! Really rockish!! It makes you wnat to jam and headbang and dance. I like the hyper tone to the song. His voice really shhines in this song to me.Placement
N/AMemorible
I think I'll remember it more than his other songs because of the beat and the sound.Lyrics
I llove how the song goes from him to the cherry blossoms. How he incorperates the flowers into his life is really pretty. The cherry blossoms scatter in the morning, flowing around the exhausted breeze. I can see one person's blue garden pertaining only to the appearance of existing
I love it!!

A 4 because This is one of my more favorite songs from him!
Tuxedo Mask - Kero-chan
Tone/Mood:
Another strong opening for a J-rock song; here, Endo's voice sounds a bit better compared with Route 99, he sings a little bit slower and you can follow him somehow haha.Placement:
Yoshito's band CD: Cosmos Explosion.Memorable:
As I said before: "It will be memorable only if you like very much those powerful J-rock songs." It's lacking something to be that memorable; we need more things like Halo or Awaken! Please Endo-san!Lyrics:

Hey! The lyrics are not as bad as I was expecting, of all, I like this part, especially the one of the burning star being watched from the pupils of her eyes. I liked that. Also, the part of "nothing lasts forever" so American lyrics (as for that part) hehehe.
Overall Rating:
Good, I'll give this song, 4 out of 5 stars.
Sailor Pluto - Sailorasteroid
Mood:
Kind of a quick power ballad, something you might hear from Journey. Sometimes, I think Japanese music is a couple decades behind us, before the grunge and teeny bopper phases occurred. They still *have* those types, but they just do it so much better. Anyway, this is before all that.Placement:
*crickets chirp*Memorable:
Well, Endo's got a darn good voice, so maybe it's good. For the full version, it needs a hook. A key change, a well placed triplet, a high note to center around, something. Give Kazutoshi Sakurai a call.Lyrics:
Like I said, it's Journey-style. You ever pay attention to the lyrics in a Journey song? Didn't think so.Overall:
A nice little love song with some hard guitar as well. Five.

Reminds me of D-Technolife by UVERWORLD (if you watch the anime Bleach, you'll get my drift). It also reminds me of November Rain by Guns and Roses (Axel Rose can play the piano!!)Lyrics

Haha, anti-pop songs (burn britney, burn!!!)

Like Route 99, this song goes a 4 out of 5. JROCK rules this july!!! Sorry ladies, pop songs are set aside for awhlile. Maybe Amber Dust will be featured on a future anime. Now, that's cool!
Queen Beryl - Molly
Tone/Mood
The mood of the song is a little hard to destinguish, but it seems a upbeat enough, with a little bit of confusion, and slight amounts of sadness.
Memorable
I love this song. Its seemed a little out of the ordinary for him, since it seemed rather punk rocki-ish, so it does stick out in my mind.
Lyrics
I adore the lyrics. THey are very poetic, and descriptive. The imagery he uses in fantastic.

5 out of 5!
