A bit more fast-paced than Angle, but still slower and in the same style. I really like Sae’s voice...

Kuroki Mio - Kara


TONE/MOOD:

The Celtic-sounding strings in the beginning serve as a nice hook to carry you into the song itself. And the song itself is very nice. It has a sort of subtle brightness to it.

MEMORABLE:

The only thing that stands out especially strongly is the string section at the beginning. This doesn't mean it's not good ... just that it's not going to become an earworm anytime soon.

LYRICS:

Very sweet, but not particularly innovative. It's a fairly typical 'I'm here with you and I'm happy' statement. Again, not to say it's not good. But it's nothing that jumps out at me above and beyond other things.

OVERALL:


4 out of 5. It's definitely a good song, but it's still not quite rave-worthy.

Sailor Neptune - Ruth


TONE/MOOD:

A slight upbeat/dance mix starts off the song. Then I am picturing a couple slow dancing....o_0. Ya know, I'm taking a liking to this song. LOL! I like this a lot better then 'Angel' as it doesn't sound as depressing and I can listen to it more then once (in the same day) and if that happens then it's a good song.

PLACEMENT:

MEMORABLE:

Half and half. I haven't listened to it enough to decide yet.

LYRICS:

"I've found something that shines
As you take my hand into yours
We'll run into a tomorrow
It's only fake courage
That lets me step into the light
Chasing you forever"

Denial much? "Fake courage that lets me step in to the light"-why do you need "fake" courage to do anything? You shouldn't have to put on such a brave face for something that is over. Let 'em know how you are feeling as it will release all of that emotion. Otherwise you end up a tad obsessive over something small. Atleast that's how I feel while reading these lyrics. Yes many will disagree with what I just said, but I feel that one shouldn't have to do that over a relationship that just ended (badly?).

Sometimes it's better not knowing what is being said-otherwise it ruins the song. Heh.

OVERALL:


4/5! Much better then the other song I just listened to. This song showed more of Sae's power voice that I'm longing for. Yeah, she doesn't belt anything out, but the song doesn't put me to sleep either. Always a plus.

Sailor Pluto - Sailorasteroid


Mood:

Integrated. Too many of these songs leap from verse to chorus to bridge with reckless abandon, but Discover actually flows logically, tied together by the pleasant violin part, and building toward a chorus that answers its own questions, melodically speaking.

Placement:

Discover is accepted all over, and gives you cash back.

Memorable:

I think this one could be a keeper. Neither too fast nor too slow makes it a good song for the random rotation, and Sae's got a nice voice. Actually my one complaint is the use of harmony instead of just letting her sing.

Lyrics:

Oh, those wacky Japanese with their seasons and blooming flowers. Maybe I'll save this one for next spring.

Discover is a find. Five.

Sailor Mercury - Alexander


TONE/MOOD:

The first 11-12 seconds made me think that "Discover" is a much better song that "Angle". Unfortunately, it has the same slow mood... The only thing I like is the violin (I think) part in the begining of the song and somewhere in the middle. I am getting bored, and in fact I expected more from Sae.

MEMORABLE:

Not very memorable, this is definately not the song that I will listen to.

LYRICS:

"My favorite song Was the one we used to always listen to" Romantic again, isn't it? This line is my favourite part of the peace. For some reason it reminds me "She's Got You".

OVERALL:


3/5 In fact I don't like it much better than "Angle", but this violin sounds makes the song good.

Dark Sailor Mercury - Ilse


Tone/mood

The music sounds a bit Arabic to me! It makes me think, together with the title of discovering the world Asia or something like that. Very nice they did that! I like this MUCH and MUCH more then Angle. This is more cheerful. And excellent to dance.

Sailor Saturn - Miri-chan


Tone/Mood

Ooh! Now this is an awesome song! Slow, lilting, but fun and melodic all the same. It seems to fit with the title. The two-voice parts are beautiful!
