Everlasting Love

Sailor V - Jessica

Tone/Mood

The song seems rather bland to me, and has no extreme emotion expressed. Its not something to dance to and I don't think its something to listen to when you're in a happy mood either. It just seems like background music, something to listen to when you don't want to concentrate on the song, maybe writing an essay or something.

Memorable

I don't find her voice or the track very memorable. What did strike me was that I think she would have a good, mature voice when she's a little older, which would allow her to do more interesting and challenging tracks. I don't like her voice as it is right now - I think she can sound older and I wish she'd try.

Lyrics

You'll hold me in the shadows when I'm scared at the first moment of doubt
I love you and I'll stay here with you in this place

For how the song sounds, the lyrics seem quite mature. I just think the tone of the song and the stupid repetitive piece in the middle make the whole thing sound bad.

Sailor Mars - Cele

Tone/Mood

It was very, very upbeat and cheerful. I personally didn't like it very much. It was extremely redundant, from the lyrics to the background. The guitar, who usually sticks out, did the same thing over and over and pretty soon I tuned out the lyrics because of it. It would be like...if trumpets played the same four notes over and over again. It would really, really sound terrible. That's what the whole guitar piece makes me think of.

Memorable

I'd remember it, but barely. I suppose it's an okay song, but it definantly wasn't to my taste. The only time I'd really listen to it would be...I can't really think of when I'd listen to it again, but I'm sure there's a situation out there.

Lyrics

I love you and I'll stay here with you in this place/I miss you when I can't hold on to you forever/It's my love even when it's time to cry so it's your love this thing that we have forever I liked those lyrics, they spoke to me somehow. Otherwise, the lyrics were a bit redundant. And the whole little English bit in the middle was really, really bad. It's definantly an example of using English ineffectively in a Japanese song.

Overall

I liked some parts, I didn't like others. Really not for me, but I'm sure others would enjoy it.

Nephrite - Frosted_Rain

Tone/Mood

Second song I've heard from Alisa. The song has a sporty feeling. It's kind of ordinary and flat. It's not pleasing for me in some parts of the song. But the English part of the song was nicely pronounced though.

Sports-themed anime. She sings much different from Change of Pace.

Lyrics

You'll hold me in the shadows when I'm scared at the first moment of doubt
I love you and I'll stay here with you in this place
I miss you when I can't hold on to you forever
It's my love even when it's time to cry so it's your love this thing that we have forever

Love makes the world go round as they say, even if it's not February 14. Probably the nicest lyrics I've ever read. Aw, shucks.

Overall Rating

Repetitive most of the song is repetitive (lyrics and background music). I rather choose Change of Pace (other song sang from Alisa for the PGSM OST), which is much better. 2/5 hearts.
