Topaz - Sailor Mercury
Tone/Mood
Ah I have just heard this song for the first time. When i first heard the music it was just a over bearing sence of calm. the music had a smooth sound to it. But also what first came to mind once the singing started was this sounds just like the anime songs. Most of the PGSM songs are pop or dance. But this song was just as if it was and ending song and you could see the credits. The tone/ mood of this song to me is like you just over come all this pain, work, anger. and you have just fix it all and life is back to where you want it, or you finally won over that love you tried so hard to get.Placement
I don't remember this in the show at all.Memorable
"I'm Here" is not a really memorable song. Its just plain. that does not make it any less of a song. it just does not have that song thing that makes to sing it all day. I love to listen to this song at bedtime or while in a bubble bath.Lyrics
The lyrics fit the show very well. They seem to show Minakos feelings. I have never heard lyrics that work so well The future is myself wandering in the fog for something I believe in I look up at the starry sky, and questioning my strength I ran These words sum up how Minko felt. Not knowing if she was right in the way she felt. Fighting and act like she thought she should and not act like she truely felt. Time crosses over again, and we always meet. There is something in your eyes to believe in as they close. To me this makes me picture when jupiter was willing to kill herself for the best of the world and her friends. She stated that it does not matter she would just be reborn again. Minako started to say it does matter and then it clicked. Yes then may always meet again but to make the most of what they had nowOverall Rating
I give this song a 3. Its a so-so song. It really does not get your right away. but if you are a fan of sailor moon you will love this song from the sound of it to the world and how well they fit.
Sailor Luna - Emo-chan
Tone/Mood
This is another sweet song from her. It's a slow song and her voice shines in it once again. It has a peaceful tone to it and makes you feel hope about her mission.Placement
Well you never hear her sing it in the series, but it's that lil CD she has Artemis give the girls. It was her last single.Memorable
I don't think this will be one of her memorible songs because you never hear it in the series, and her other songs are bigger hits.Lyrics
The words really explain Mianko's feelings on what is going on and how she feels. The future is myself wandering in the fog for something I believe in I look up at the starry sky, and questioning my strength I ran Showing my power, I stretch out my hand, and I'm Here. I'll start walking tomorrow and looking for the path I must follow.
That pretty much explains it.
Overall Rating
I'll give this song a 3. You don't have that much exposure to it in the show and you can only hear it if you buy those real girl cds, as far as I know. Or you get it from this site! hehe. Good lyrics and i like her voice in it though ^_^
Sailor Neptune - Ruth
Tone/Mood
Yet another ballad. Not as good as 'Sayonara~Sweet Days' but it does run a close second in my book. Doesn't make me cry but it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling when I hear it.Placement
Only on her third album. This song wasn't used in the show.Memorable
Again since it wasn't used in the show all I can say is that it was only memorable when listening to the CD.Lyrics
The lyrics for this song fit better then 'Sayonara' in terms of translation.. Very innocent and calm like the song.Overall Rating
4 Hearts. A pretty song that was never used. Shame. I think this would of been a good song to slow dance.
Jessica - Sailor V
Tone/Mood
'I'm Here' has a calming mood, one that is neither depressing nor happy. I'm not really sure if there's anything else to say the tone really, to me it just seems sort of bland.Placement
As far as I know it wasn't used in PGSM anywhere. However, it would have suited several situations with Minako questioning herself and her mission.Memorable
This is never heard in any of the Acts or performed by Komatsu Ayaka outside the show. To be honest, it could be associated with anything. I don't think its that memorable and appears to be a song just to fill a saleable CD.Lyrics
Don't abandon walking when the road you follow misleads youThe whole song fits Minako's personal 'mission' as it were, and her duty as a Senshi. She doesn't always like what she has to do, she often doubts herself, if what she's doing is right, but she knows she has to carry on. Even if things don't turn out how she expected, or she goes down the wrong path, she knows she has to keep going; she can't just give up.
Overall Rating
2/5 - As I said before, I find this song bland and rather uninteresting, no matter how much the lyrics may fit the character.
Elly - Princess Serenity
Tone/Mood
This song is so great! It's so slow and romantic, it's everything that "Romance" should have been. This song can't hold a candle to "Katagoshi Ni Kinsei".
Placement
I can't believe that they didn't use this song in the show! This would have been a good replacement for "Sayonara", but I suppose that song works as well too. This song really shows Sailor Venus's strength in the show, and how even though she is dead, she is still there for the others.
Memorable
Considering it was never in the show, and it's not featured too much on any of the PGSM Albums, this song isn't something I would expect the average PGSM fan to be familiar with. However, on a personal note, I listened to this song on a loop for hours while translating and romanizing the lyrics from kanji, so I will always remember this tune.
Lyrics
Miageru hoshizora ni tsuyosa no imi wo toikaketa
Furueru te wo nobashi Watashi wa koko ni iru
Tachi tomarazu aruiteku Sono saki ni tsudzuku michi wa hateshinaku
These words are very romantic and poetical. I really enjoy the lyrics to this song, even if they were a pain in the ass to translate.
Overall Rating
4/5 - The lyrics are nice, but I feel that there should have been more consistency in them. The tune is also very nice, but I still feel like it's lacking something. If you're not paying attention solely to the song, it tends to turn into background music. Nice background music, but it shouldn't be used that way.
Ilse - Dark Sailor Mercury
Tone/Mood
The melody is very relaxed. The beat is very relaxed, everything is relaxed. I'm getting relaxed if I hear this.Placement
It doesn't appear in the series. Shame! But it's on Akaya's album "I'll be there"Memorable
The song is beautiful, but I don't think many people will remember it. One of the reasons is that it does not appear in the acts.Lyrics:
I don't know what to think of the lyrics. They are about dreams and that kind of stuff. I like them, but I don't now more to say about it.Overall rating:
I give it a rating of 4 hearts. It's very relaxed and that sort of stuff. But may be a bit boring. It's missing something. I don't know. May be it's my mood
Frosted_Rain - Nephrite
Tone/Mood
Same as Sayonara~Sweet Dreams, it's mellow, calm and soft. Her voice is so perfect on such type of song. It maybe kinda sound dead but its a calming song. Good for removing stress, listening while studying on a late night, grief over because of love and other sorts to remove the evil and stress out of yourself. Also gives a warm, fuzzy feeling to a psychotic man like me.Placement
Unrelated to the series. It should have been placed as an ending song to the series if it has gone longer. If Sayonara~Sweet Dreams wasn not sung on Act 47, this song could be placed as a substitute.Memorable
Late at night, I always play this together with Sayonara~Sweet Dreams browsing to Komatsu Ayaka's pics i have collected. Such beauty... makes me feel very desperate (wait... I'm VERY desperate) to go to Japan (I have to stay in college for 1.5 years more to earn my degree). Ohh... the desperation!!!Lyrics
Kono mama nani mo kamo Subete wasurete nemuritaiAnata to sugosu hi wa Hikari kagayaiteta
Toki wo koete mataitsuka Aeru koto wo shinjite hitomi tojiru
Always whistling this part as I walk home, to class or I don't know where just to make me comfortable. Kinda personal if I share its meaning...
Overall Rating
I sometimes feel lonely when i listen to this song. Loveless, as they say, I sometimes feel myself crying (but NOOO... I resist on doing it because it's not yet my time to cry on such a thing called LOVE). I just stare on the oblivion, imagining on Ayaka-chan, admiring her beauty. Ahh... infatuation, how cruel... Wish I have a girlfriend as pretty as her. Being a biased person (I am a Komatsu Ayaka fan), I give this song a 5/5 for December's Komatsu Ayaka Month (because it's HER SONGS reviewed this month, hehe...)
Sat - Sailor Saturn
Tone
This song is rather sweet for Minako and I feel is a bit more her personality toward the end of the series and in the special act then any other song. However this song isn't striking me into wanting to listen to it all the way through so much as it reminds me of background music.Placement
This wasn't placed in the series anywhere and I can say that this could have been used a bit better. I would have rather have heard this then Over the Rainbow ANYDAY.Memorable
Well as it wasn't placed in the series anywhere, I can't really say it is all that memorable. I am finding this rather bland to be serious so I don't know if I will really remember it as this is my first time hearing it.Lyrics
The lyrics are quirky as I would expect but nothing really grabs me. Maybe if I heard it more then this first time it would grab me, but like I said, it isn't one that I will be putting in my iPod anytime soon.Overall Rating
3 Hearts. A very mediocre song to say the least. Nothing really stood out about this song for me. It is better then some other songs in the series though, so it gets a better rating then some have.
Tobias - Sailor Venus
Tone/Mood
Yet another mellow song... however this one is very nice to listen to. For some people they think of it as a sad song... simply because of Act 47... however I digress... its not supposed to be a sad song... more of fond remembrance of the past. Easy on the ears... and not bad to hear on a repeated basis.Placement
This song fit in Act 47... Due to its sound and given the perspective usage of the song, made sense... it was Minako's song... and with all the events leading to her eventual surgery... among other things. It makes a good song for a memory montage scene...Memorable
I like this song a lot... I listen to it frequently. Since its in my MP3 player playlist... I can hear it more... since I only put my favorite songs on my MP3 player. Yes, I've played it at work and home as well as portable. I remember this song fondly.Lyrics
"Tokubetsu riyuu nante nai no dakedoNazeka kimi ni wa sunao de irareta
Doushite sonna ni naki sou na kao?
Gomen, itsumo kara katte bakari de"
These are the lines that I enjoy the most, aside from it being the starting lines to the song they carry a message that fits well to the songs melody and pace. All in all the lyrics fit the song well.
Overall Rating
5 out of 5
Its a nice Minako song... its memorable... not irratating on repeat play (albiet a little short of a song) and carries a nice message and tone. I enjoy it as one of my favorite Minako songs... aside from "Romance" and "Happy Time, Happy Days" and the classic "C'est la vie".
Sailor Uranus - Nickole
Tone/Mood
I'd have to say that this songs mood, and beat are kind of a bummer to me. I just don't like the way its sung.Placement
I haven't seen the PGSM episode with this song in it.Memorable
Trust me, the only memorable thing about this song, are the lyrics!Lyrics
Who is piling up these dreams from beyond?Goodbye eternity that gives me nothing
Losing something fairly wasn't scary
The future is myself wandering in the fog for something I believe in
I look up at the starry sky, and questioning my strength I ran
Showing my power, I stretch out my hand, and I'm Here.
I'll start walking tomorrow and looking for the path I must follow.
Very pretty and calm lyrics! It keeps you wondering about Minako! :)
Overall Rating
I'd give this song a 3, just simply because I have no liking of it, and its rather boring, besides the lyrics.
Sebi - Jedite

Tone/Mood
In a word, mellow. Honestly, it sounds a little like something you'd hear when riding an elevator. Not that that is a bad thing. Good to listen to if you wanna go to sleep.Placement
not in the showMemorable
unlikely, its got an okay melody but it doesnt have any moments that really stick out or draw you in. Overall too mellow to be very memorable.Lyrics
Incoherent and choppy, the meaning can be understood but the lyrics don't seem to fit together to well. In the context of the song, they fill out that mellow vibe, so its not all bad.Overall Rating
Kara - Kuroki Mio

TONE/MOOD:
This has an anime ending theme feel to it. Besides that, it's got a straightforward sentimental, bittersweet mood. I wouldn't have minded one bit if this had been Minako's swan song instead of 'Sayonara.'PLACEMENT:
The 'I'm Here' CD.MEMORABLE:
Yes. This one actually affects me more emotionally than 'Sayonara ~ Sweet Days.'LYRICS:
Here is Minako's requisite 'I am suffering and dying, but I'm okay with that' song. This is basically the one that dumps out her whole soul onto the table.Often I want to sleep, to completely forget these things
You also spend your time forgetting to shine
OVERALL RATING:
5 out of 5 ... I prefer this to 'Sayonara,' actually.
