Kirari*Sailor Dream Remix

Sailor Mercury - Topaz

Tone/Mood

Its a mix of a bunch of tones and moods. at first you hear a calm chime like sound the you go into a heavy beat, danceable sound. then a rally nice guitar sound and back to the heavey beat sound

Placement

nope just on the "Dear my friend" cd

Memorable

not really its nice but short. it nothing that really stays with you.

Lyrics

I would one give this a four due to the fact i love the guitar part. its to short and to mixed up for me

Sailor Uranus - Nickole

Tone/Mood

Lets see... This remix version of the PGSM Theme is great! The beat just makes you wanna get on the dance floor and dance for a long time! The guitar part and the techno beat near the end is cool! :) Its a great song to dance to, even if it is short!

Placement

I haven't heard it in the series, so it's probably on one of the Cd's.

Memorable

Not really, cause its really fast and short.

A total 4 because this song is just screaming with a great beat to it!

Queen Beryl - Alexa

Tone/Mood

This song is kind of strange, I mean, just how it’s sort of techno mixed with a bit of scratchy guitar. I get like, mood swings when I listen to it. I like how it’s mellowed down, but I find either my brother turned up my base amplifier or it’s got too much ‘boom’. It’s got a pretty cool dance beat though.

Placement

Just the Dear My Friend CD, I can’t really say anything here.

Memorable

The dance beat of it makes me remember it, but other than that, it’s too short and isn’t very memorable.

Lyrics

There ‘aren’t’ any lyrics, therefore, this part is kind of what’s the word ah! Pointless!

Overall Rating

I’d give it a 3 ½, but, I can’t give halves so I’d have to say, four!

Princess Serenity - Elly

Tone/Mood

So plain, so boring. As much as I liked the original Kirari*Sailor Dream, this does nothing for me. This is actually reminiscent of those old school .midi files with "real music" from 1998. How quaint. Not.

Placement

As far as I know, this only appeared on the "Dear My Friend" CD and the Memorial Box Set.

Memorable

Not a damned bit. When I saw the title was "remix", I was expecting something more techno and upbeat. Not this music box type of crap.

It's still Kirari*Sailor Dream, so I'm giving it a pity song. I just REALLY dislike this remix of the song, I think it was done badly, is all.

Sailor Neptune - Ruth

Tone

Techno music! I LOVE IT! A nice change to the other. Makes me want to dance! I first heard this song in the Live Event. I thought 'wow...what a cool way to start the show!' Totally hip and fresh! *Is listening to it right now* The song is excellent! Go download! Now!

Placement

Only used in the beginning of the Live Event, the song totally kicks arse! I like how the dancers shook their groove thang in it and it made me want to dance like that too. LOL!

Memorable

What are you crazy?! Yes, it's VERY memorable! Just because there aren't any lyrics, doesn't mean the song can't be loved and memorized. Shoot, this song would be PERFECT for ANY dance routine or club!

Lyrics

*Laughs* The song doesn't need any so there. :P

Overall Rating

5 hearts out of 5! *Goes in bragging mode* I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT! Fresh and upbeat and techno! Woot! What more can a girl ask for?! *And she knows where "Sailor Senshi sore wa Moonlight Real Girl" goes in the song..

Frosted_Rain - Nephrite

Tone/Mood

All remix songs should be upbeat of course. The remix has a mix of rock, pop, techno mixed in the Kirari Remix. The remix was nicely done (mostly synthesizer-orchestrated sounds). Childish but exquisite (is it?).

Placement

Placed between Change of Pace (no. 8 song by Alisa Durbow) and Over Rainbow Tour (no. 10 by Sawaii Miyuu) on the Dear My Friend Album of PGSM OST's. The placement was rather made as an intermission song number for the album (or in other words, it's a halftime show in a basketball game). Of course, it's unused on any PGSM episode.

Memorable

Nothing much though... It's a short remix of the opening song (lifespan: 2 minutes and 10 seconds). Kinda lovely to hear at first then... no more.

Lyrics

Well, DUH! Purely instrumental (What do you expect, verbal connotations of some sort?). Reminds me of karaoke moments when I'm drunk on a drinking session (hehehehe... naughty naughty!!!).

Overall Rating

(Probably the shortest review I've done). I'll just give this 2 hearts. The music has a short span of listening time. As I've said earlier, this song is only used as an intermission music on the album (at least they made it rather than nothing plus adding more songs to the album...). Not much of a "repeat performance" music to listen as time goes by.

Ilse - Dark Sailor Mercury

Tone/Mood

In the beginning it's very calm and very relaxed. Then, the song is faster, and it's getting more upbeat. It's nice to listen if there's nothing fun on the radio, or when you don't know what to play on you player on the computer.

Placement

Not in series.

Memorable

They call it Kiari* sailor dream MEMORIAL inst mix, but I don't think it's memorable. It's just two minutes remix, from the TV-length version of the opening theme. It's not in the series and it's only on one cd.

Lyrics:

None, but I think it would have been very exiting when someone sings with it.

Overall rating:

4 hearts. It's not really memorable, and there are no lyrics. But it's still a pretty good remix.

Sailor Venus - Tobias

Tone/Mood

It reminds me of techno or dance... its catchy... with a nice bass sound... it is also distuinguishable as KIRARI?Sailor Dream. I can listen to this song continously without getting annoyed as well... making things even easier... This song sounds good on sub-woofers... my cd player sounds interesting with this song at full blast... (160 watt). It gets me going... and is good to travel (running or walking) to.

Placement

It was never used in the show... unless you count the Kirari?Super Live event as an act... (which I do.) It really wouldn't have worked... its too much of a song for any scene in the regular show... as it is... it was only used as an introduction dance number in the event... with cartwheels and arm flailing... very entertaining... the event as a whole was, that is... I recommend viewing it.

Memorable

It is memorable to me... I have it on numerous mixes... and Dear My Friend... along with my MP3 player. I listen to it fairly frequently too... its very catchy... but I also enjoy the original version by Sae as well.

Lyrics

There aren't any lyrics... however if there were it would be the first section of lyrics from KIRARI?Sailor Dream.

Overall Rating

5 out of 5. Its catchy, fun and easy to listen to. With a combination like that it doesn't even need to have lyrics... except for maybe an occasional "Tsuki ni kawatte oshiokyo!" just like the Kirari?Super Live event. All in all, its very enjoyable.

Tuxedo Mask - Kero-chan

Tone/Mood:

This remix combines a lot of instruments, chimes and many other sounds that together make a good melody. I think they could have done this remix a little bit longer, but it was just fairly done. My favorite part is near the end with the electric guitar and the other instruments I can't recall for the moment. ^^;

Placement:

It was played as an awesome opening for the Super Live Event Show. First, a strange voice (I think it was Metallia) was saying something about stealing energy, after that, the remix started with the girls (probably the doubles XD) dancing in a very "strange but somehow cool way" and making the audience clap along with the music. The first part of the show ended with the all time favorite phrase: "Soldier of Love and Justice! Sailor Moon! In the name of the moon I shall punish you!"

Memorable:

If you watched the Super Live Event Show you definitely will remember it. Just how the girls dance this remix can't be forgotten so easily. If you haven't watched the event yet, but you have heard it from the "Dear My Friend" album, it may take you some time, but you'll end liking it I hope so o _o;

Lyrics:

No lyrics, just music.

Overall Rating:

Definitely 5 star rating for this remix. It was well done and the music is cheery and it also makes you want to dance! XD! Maybe they could have done it a little bit longer ^---^

Kuroki Mio - Kaitlin

Tone/Mood

Wooahhhh we're under water? Ohhh there we go. Sparkly-tinkly noises mean everything is okay. This song is really cute. It makes me wanna get up and dance. I feel like this would appear in a DDR game because the beats have a very fun-to-follow rythym. Then the guitar kicks in and BAM! Chorus time! I can't help want to sing at the top of my lungs when I listen to this! Or... find some men in funny plastic suits to fight. Really, this isn't so much a song as it is an instrumental. But I can't keep that image of playing DDR to this out of my head.

Placement

Off of the CD's only, unless it was used as fighting music at some point and I didn't recognize it?

Memorable

The song isn't memorable really, but it is a good song. The only reason you'll recall it is cause it's the shows opening theme! Which is, of course, extremely memorable. When this hits your playlist you will see it as a pleasant surprise.

Lyrics

No lyrics, and probably best that way. Were they to attempt to remix it by adding in the vocals it would sound like a bad techno version. Vocal-less is best for this and I think that says it all.

Overall Rating

3 - A good tune, but not the first thing you'll reach for.

Sailor Luna - Emo-chan

Tone/Mood

I love the energy this instrumental gives the listener. You want to get up and dance to it over and over again. The instruments used make the song very upbeat and playful.

Placement

You never hear it in the series, but in the Live Event, the show I believe opens with it. I remember seeing the shadows of the five senshi dancing to the song behind a screen of some sort(haven't seen it in a long time). But it was really cool seeing that sequence.

Memorable

If you have seen the live event, this would be somewhat rememberable. It's one of those tunes that make syou dance, and those tend to stay in my head longer.

A 5!!! For a remix, this is really good and I love the instruments used. Every time I hear it I see those shadowed dancers, and I love it! XD

Zoicite - Ephie

Tone/Mood

Another upbeat song. Unfortunately, it's as upbeat as a midi file that I remember downloading by the hundreds about 6-7 years ago. And while I don't mind midi files too much, the song needs to make up it's mind whether it is one or not.

Placement

Dear My Friend CD.

Memorable

I don't remember much about it. A lot of times I forget it's even there until it plays on the CD.

Overall Rating

I'll give it a 2. I do like to listen to it sometimes, though I do like the original version much better. And that little scratching record effect doesn't do anything for me.

Prince Endymion - Alexander

Tone/Mood

I was expecting more techno but when I heard the song I was totally SURPRICED! I immediatelly fall in love with this Instrumental Remix. It's one of my favourite PGSM peaces!! The song is a mix of the nice sounds of many instruments and up-beat melody!

Placement

Unfortunatelly, only on the CDs and according to Sailor Neptune in the Live Event, too.

Memorable

This remix is a short song with no lyrics and voices but that does NOT mean it isn't memorable! Kirari Sailor Dream Instrumental Remix will stay in all PGSM fans' hearts for ever!!

Lyrics

No lyrics, but who needs lyrics if we can enjoy the up-beat melody and wonderful sound?!

Overall Rating

5 hearts!! WONDERFUL peace!

Sailor Pluto - Ciao

Tone/Mood

I first heard this with my friends Akiko and Hiromi in Luxembourg last week when they wanted to hear more about the PGSM series and listen to the music. It was all I had on my laptop so I played it for them, we all really liked it. It was a bit midi-ish but still, we enjoyed it. It's almost like dance music and we're all into that sort of thing.

Placement

None

Memorable

I liked it and remember it mainly because it's an instrumental version of the song that is dance-y and if it hadn't been for the lack of room in the hotel when we were listening to it, and the fact that the song is so short, we might have danced to it *grins*

Lyrics

None - instrumental

Overall Rating

I'd give it a 4. It would maybe have gotten a little bit higher except for the fact that it sounded a bit like a midi file in places, and the fact that the clip was so short *pouts* I could use a longer version of it.

Sailorasteroid - Sailor Pluto

Mood:

Techno, remix-y. What more do you want? Even if you didn't know, you could probably tell this was a remix of another song. Unfortunately, it keeps switching tempos, instruments, and everything else. More than anything, it reminds me of Dancing in the Moonlight from the Music Fantasy CD. Except that had multiple songs on it, which it what probably should have been done here.

Placement:

N/A

Memorable:

Not in and of itself. It's nice to have around to karaoke to, but never would it go into a rotation, nor would I ever say, "Man, I really feel like listening to the Kirari mix now."

Lyrics:

N/A

Overall:

This seems like a cobbled-together piece for a CD desperately in need of original tracks, as if they handed someone a Casio keyboard and told them to play around with the settings while playing the theme. One.

Sailor Jupiter - Joy Azama

Tone/Mood

I first heard this song on the PGSM CD, and I loved it because I am also a fan of the original Kirari Sailor Dream song. This song could get you to the dance immediately and wanting to imitate the dancers on the first part of Kirari Super Live Event. This song made me happy and high! ^_^

Placement

As far as I know, this song is not placed on any of the acts, but rather on the very first part of the Kirari Super Live Event show. This is the song when a group of dancers (pretending to be the PGSM actresses) are behind a screen curtain, and danced in their fukus. This song was played as an introduction to the show. Very well done dancing by the way!

Memorable

Very memorable for me indeed, since it is the first song to be played in the live event, and all those effects with the fog and dim lights excites me. However, I usually skip this song on the CD to get on with the songs and hear the senshis' voices.

I loved the beat, the various instruments used, and the revision I give this song a 5 out of 5 hearts.

Kunzite - Loreal

Tone/Mood

As a remix, it does a good job being upbeat. I did like how it started off quiet and calm, then introduced the fast beat.

Placement

Off one of the cds.

Memorable

Nothing to memorable here. It sounded like the introduction theme. It didn't really sound too "remixy" to me.

Lyrics

Overall

I didn't like this remix. I think they could have done a lot better in making one. I felt that it was way too short. You just get into the groove and then the music stops. I would rather listen to the opening theme than the remix. I give it a one.

Kuroki Mio - Kara

TONE/MOOD:

All over the place. This really struck me as something someone might use for a musical montage to pitch the series to a studio ... there's a spot to show the girls transforming, there's a spot for the villains, there's a spot for being normal teenage girls ... It seems very calculated to that sort of thing.

PLACEMENT:

The 'Dear my Friend' CD.

MEMORABLE:

Well, despite my feeling that it's a bit on the corporate side, I must admit that I do find myself listening to it quite a bit. It's just got a nice feel to it, plus it's short.

LYRICS:

OVERALL RATING:

4 out of 5. Despite the fact that it struck me as contrived at first, I have to admit to liking it. And for a hardcore PGSM fan, it always feels good to hear remixes of the theme we've come to know.
