Sailor Neptune - Ruth
Tone/Mood
*sniff* *sniff* Sad ballad. The "song' makes me want to think about sad things and what they mean to me. It's safe to say that this is a depressing melody. Hmmm...now I think of Usagi thinking of either Mamoru or Evil Ami and how sad she is. So that settles that...Placement
Gosh, I don't remember which Act this song was in first but it seems it's in 90% of the episodes.Memorable
After hearing it so many times in the show, yes it is.Lyrics

3/5! What can I truely say about this song. It was overused in the series but it is good nontheless. Just wish it didn't make me so depressed.
Dark Sailor Mercury - Ilse
Tone/Mood:
The melody isn’t very cheerful. But it’s very nice. I like this piece of music. They often play it when something sad has happened. And that’s almost every act. I like the combination of flute and piano. :) Then it’s getting lower. And sadder, I think.Placement:

Yeah, the reason is, this song is played VERY much in the pgsm series.Lyrics

4 hearts, an evergreen song in Pgsm.
Sailor Saturn - Miri-chan
Tone/Mood
While it's slow and soft, I don't think it's really that depressing. It's more of a melody that makes you think and delve deeper into the meaning of things. It actually makes me reconsider aspects of life and reflect on actions and memories that I have. All in all, it's a very pretty piece, especially the first part with the piano theme. I like the mysterious mood of the second part too.Placement
DJ Moon 1, at moments when people are deep in thought about something sad XDMemorable
Of course. It's a common BGM on PGSM.Lyrics

3 out of 5 hearts. Even though it's pretty, it still sounds a bit "hollow" to me.
Sailor Uranus - G.E. Artemis
Tone/Mood:
Definitely depressing, good for sad scenes. I love the flute in the first half of this song, it’s gorgeous.Placement:
In a lot of episodes. It would take me awhile to name them all. ^^;Memorable:
Yes, it’s played a lot.Lyrics:

Kuroki Mio - Kara
TONE/MOOD:
Ah, the Sad Music Track. Good use of wind instruments in this one. Even without knowing the scenes these got used in, they're very evocating. I prefer the second one just a bit over the first; they've both got a bit of soulfulness to them, but the flute doesn't convey quite as much sadness.PLACEMENT:
PGSM (all over)MEMORABLE:
Yeah. Memorable on its own, nostalgic for old fans of the show.OVERALL:
4 out of 5 hearts. I always liked this one when they used it in the show, and it's a track I can still listen to on its own.
Sailor Luna - Emo-chan
Tone/Mood
Awww this is such a sad song!!! It’s slow and serene. It makes me wanna cry. I love the instruments used though, because the voice it carries through the use of them really give the depression feeling to the piece.Placement
Well I remember it being used whenever Usagi or one of the main characters were sad. Like when Makoto was first introduced, or when Usagi found out something she didn’t like, or is going over her feelings for Mamoru.Memorable
I think it’ll be memorable for me because it was the song they always used for sadness. So when I remember a sad scene in th series, I’ll think of this song.Lyrics

I give this a 4 because even though it’s a sad piece, it is still very pretty and unique.
Sailor Mercury - Alexander
Tone/Mood:
Oh, I remember this piece, it's one of the PGSM BGM I heard. It's calm and peaceful, and also nostalgic. While I'm listening to it, I picture sad Usagi... the same one from the Pr picture of November Reviews page of Ballads and Bows. Good choice, Elly. Pretty good song.Placement:
DJ Moon 1 Album, and also in almost all of the acts. It's one of the PGSM theme BGM's, isn't it?Memorable:
Oh yes, of course! This is one of the most popular PGSM peaces.Lyrics:

3/5 Nice piece, isn't it. Yes, it is. However, it's also too kind of sad, at least that's what I think.
Nephrite - Frosted_Rain
Tone/Mood
Melodramatic. BGM is suitable for emotional scenes and lots and lots of drama. The tone is designed for sad, sad happenings end emotional plots. Mostly used when Usagi is worrying about things and that.Placement
First used on Act 05 when Ami was planning to purchase a book about friendship.Memorable
Probably this BGM is the most emotional of all BGM’s in PGSM. Reminds me most of sad BGM’s in soap operas.Lyrics

Zzz listening to this makes me loose my energy. A nice BGM on crucial and emotional plots in the story. 3/5
Sailor V - Jessica
Tone/Mood
The tone and mood of the piece are both twofold and each have a counterpart. The first half of the track offsets the second half, the mood going from not exactly positive, but not unhappy, to depressing and a melody that could have a nicely angst ridden song written to it. Each half of the piece is a mirror image and fits wonderfully.Placement
Multiple PGSM episodes. It seems to usually be used for moments of contemplation between characters, or moments of the girls alone with their thoughts.Memorable
I was able to place it to a clip on my second try, so that must make it pretty memorable in general. That, or it was overplayed...Lyrics

Sailor Pluto - Sailorasteroid
Mood:
The first part is a shot at the flute-piano conversation. But it feels a bit rushed and formulaic. Someday perhaps I'll talk about the archetype of that style. The second part is a minor key version with a clarinet in place of the flute. It's a very good sad piece.Placement:
Sad song. . . who knows? Tuxedo Kamen's death?Memorable:
Could be. Those poignant moments tend to linger.Lyrics:
iie.Overall:
Sad songs do say so much, don't they? Four.
