Sailor V - Jessica
Tone/Mood
My first thoughts when I heard this was that it should be the closing of an anime show. The tone seems to be wistful, looking back, but not very detached from events. The mood certainly isn't happy, but isn't dreadfully depressing, hitting a nice even tone between the two.Placement
None in PGSM.Memorable
The track is more memorable for the lyrics and the actual music then her voice, I think.Lyrics
Next you're hitCan you hear the screams
Every day the moon comes and goes in the night time
I really love those first two lines and I can't explain why, perhaps because they almost seem out of place but work so well too.

Dark Sailor Mercury - Ilse
Tone/Mood
It's False!!! Moeco reaches not the tones she is supposed to reach! Especially in the "omoide no sakamichi ano hi kara furitekuru yasashii kaze wo kanjiteru" UrGH!!! This song is trash!Placement

No! It's ugly!!Lyrics
My memories of that day on the hilly roadI felt a cool breeze
I saw your back turned from me
The things between us killed
The bad things of summer are adding up
This moment the smell of the sea is calming
It's better to walk and raise your hand in this island country
This blue sky has sadness
Forever I'll be wandering
There is something about this lyrics. Ok, the most parts are just poetic sh*t, but I like the "this moment the smell of the sea is calming" and "the blue sky has sadness" .
Overall rating
Only 2, but only because of that two lines in the lyrics, and the rest of the melody that isn't false! It's not Moeco's fault it's Takao Konishi's.
Tuxedo Mask - Kero-chan
Tone/Mood:
Wow! I really like the opening for the song, it sounds like the ending theme for an anime! The percussions in the background, the violin sound and her voice really make a nice combination of sounds have I mentioned that I really like her voice? XD The song is really showing us 'the summer colors', not with a "dance" song but with a nice, comforting and warm ballad.Placement:
You can fin this song in her "Natsu Iro" single.Memorable:
Yes, I think that you are going to find this one really catchy and I really do think this could be a nice ending *or opening* theme for an anime (If it isn't already XD).Lyrics:
It's odd; I like the lyrics even though they are a bit strange. I think they talk about a boy and a girl, they're in love, but he runs away from home one summer to be with her love. She is happy to see him but she tells him that he can't run forever, sometime he will have to return to his home, and fulfill his wishes even if she isn't inside them. I really like this part:You're not a child, right?
Do you always want to stay a hermit?
It's important to get outside
Inseparable from the sun's graduation
Even if you try to turn back time
Mysteriously it burns
Why?
Overall Rating:
I like this song; I'm going to give it 5 stars. Well done Matsuhita!
Sailor Jupiter - Merian
Tone/Mood:
The combination of electric guitar and drums at the beginning was awesome! Her voice also matched very well with the strings in the background.Memorable:
After listening to this song once or twice, I caught myself humming the melody while I was reading. Because of the nice background music, this song is very memorable!Lyrics:
The lyrics are very meaningful and they cling onto you for a while, but in my opinion, it doesn't seem to match the electric guitars in the beginning.Overall rating:
I give this song a 4, because of the lyrics.
Sailor Saturn - Miri-chan
Tone/Mood
Upbeat and active, but it still retains a slightly calm mood. It really seems like the kind of song that you'd hear as one of the opening songs to a concert. It starts out really strong, and then slows a bit, building up to another full-out chorus. This up-and-down style really brings out an interesting effect.Placement
Moeco's single Natsu IroMemorable
Sort of. I find it a very inspiring piece that I would listen to whenever I needed a happiness boost.Lyrics
You've turned your back on your mansionForgotten your wishes
You just love to be alone for one more time
That is simply BEAUTIFUL. It has a sense of being alone, but still longing for someone.
Overall Rating
3 out of 5 hearts. Not exactly to my tastes, but at least it doesn't have angsty screaming.
Sailor Uranus - G.E. Artemis
Tone/Mood:
The tone of the song sounds rather energetic. I don’t really know what there is to say about it except for that I like it =)Placement:
Matsushita Moeko’s Natsu Iro single. (No, really?!)Lyrics:
Reading the lyrics, I found this particular stanza-You understand the garden
Wanting to be like them and close your petals to hibernate
As the rain probably falls around you
I understand this perfectly. The overall story of the song seems to be about this person wants to close themselves off from the rain-rather, trying to protect themselves from the bad things in life hurting them. I can totally relate to this.
Rating:
Next to Ame, this is my favorite Moeko song. Excellent singing and lyrics bring this one higher.
Kuroki Mio - Kara
TONE/MOOD:
Oh, wow ... this is just plain GOOD. There's a full, orchestral sound to it, and Moeco's voice really shines here. The switch from calm verse to full chorus gives it a nice contrast, and keeps it from sinking into one particular groove. It's got a lot of nice variation to it. Normally I'm not a huge fan of heavy strings in orchestration, but here they sound good - it reminds me a little of some of the better music from HIMIKO DEN.PLACEMENT:
N/AMEMBORABLE:
Yes. It's got a very distinctive sound to it. It's staying on my permanent playlist, that's for sure.LYRICS:
Very poetic. Very expansive. I could see someone like Yoko Kanno writing music along to these. They almost evoke a fantasy-world feeling.OVERALL:
5 hearts out of 5. I'm crazy about this song. It's a perfect mix of strong instrumentals, evocative vocals, and meaningful lyrics.
Sailor Luna - Emo-chan
Tone/Mood
I Love this song!! The sound is amazing, and her vocie sounds really good in this! I like the instruments used in this song as well.Placement

I'll remember this song a lot more than the other songs she has done, because her voice sticks out more in this song, and the tone of the song is so beautiful.Lyrics
The lyrics in this song are pretty and realitisc, telling yet a kind of sad story. The imagery is nice though.Overall Rating
A 4!! I like this song a lot. It's really pretty, and shows off Moeco's talents.
Sailor Neptune - Ruth
Tone/Mood
More "upbeat" then the last one but it still has a slowness to the beat. Nice and suttle to my ears! Though this song isn't my favorite song from her-I just can't put my finger on it but this song is bland in some areas that make me want to turn it off. Then it picks up and I want to listen. Strange.Placement

Hard to say. It's nice but I can't see myself listening to it over and over again.Lyrics
"You've turned your back on your mansionForgotten your wishes
You just love to be alone for one more time
The summer sparkles
As you flee to a northern town
Just for one more season
That's what you say"
The only part of the song that makes sense! While reading the lyrics, I couldn't understand most of it but this last part makes me think of what "she's seeing/saying". I mean, she's seeing him turn away and go to another place and she stays put waiting for him to return. OR it means that she's trying to show him she is in love with him and he's ignoring her to no end. Either way, it has some saddness in it.
Overall Rating
3 out of five. Not my favorite song as stated above. However, I liked half of the song so I gave it a three.

Oh yeah. They definitely should have included this somewhere in PGSM, but I'm not sure where...Lyrics

Sounds like this guy is a recluse looking for an escape from society. Good for him! I'm kind of under the impression that Moeko should just let this guy go; he sounds like a little bit of a nut if you ask me.

Probably my favorite song by Moeko-chan ever. Very upbeat, has a lot of instruments in the background, and she actually SINGS. Not politely, but really shows off her voice. I love it.
Nephrite - Frosted_rain
Tone/Mood
So free and calm, that’s what I feel when listening to this song. A very good introduction (not those eardrum-breaking intros by some artists) with her not-so-irritating voice.Placement

Ahhh… so calm and sweet… very free… probably a good intro or ending song for an anime.Lyrics

Loneliness, sometimes good for you and sometimes don’t. It’s nice sometimes to get away and be alone sometimes in this crazy world forgetting all those hard work at the office or at school. Wild and free, just for now in summer’s eve (poetic, isn’t it…)
Overall Rating
4 out of 5 hearts. Probably not my favorite song of Moeco but it’s better than nothing. Wonderful indeed.
Sailor Pluto - Sailorasteroid
Mood:
Well, it starts off kinda hard rock, but then it slows down. It’s not quite to the level of “Ame,” but Moeco gets to be heard. (Me, I just want an Ame clone)Placement:
All your songs are placed to us.Memorable:
Moeco tries her hardest, but she doesn’t have the passion to really bring out the melody. Voice like butter, soul like mayonnaise.Lyrics:
There are a lot of good summer songs in J-pop. But most of them are happy and upbeat. This one. . . isn’t. This is more like a “farewell, my summer” song.Overall:
She’s still shooting for mainstream, instead of carving out her own niche. Two.
