ARCHIVED HTML - Natsu Toki Ame - Summer Time Rain

Queen Beryl - Molly
Tone/Mood
Its a little hard to determine what the mood is, considering it is an instrumental. But, from listening to the sample I had, I think that its a sad sort of hopeful..
Memorable
I think it is memorable due to the fact that it is another instrumental, and most artists nowadays sound all poppish, and seem to steer clean of all music tracks..
Lyrics
I could make up some... But I don't feel too creative right now.
Overall Rating
I'd give this song a 4.
Kuroki Mio - Kara
TONE/MOOD:
Very cinematic. That's my first thought. Very sort of ... airy and open. It evokes images and moods that are probably different for everyone. But for me, I think of wide-open spaces and a level of loneliness that's almost but not quite painful.PLACEMENT:
N/AMEMBORABLE:
Somewhat, but not as much as the piano pieces from last month. This one almost borders on being a high school piano recital piece, if it weren't for some of the more complex chord structure.LYRICS:

Sailor Uranus - G.E. Artemis
Tone/Mood:
Okay, so I sit in front of the computer after downloading, I click on this song, and I wonder what I’m going to get from Endou this time. Imagine my delight when I heard another piano song. I almost fainted. XD He really is an incredible pianist. This one sounds a little bit lighter than Hakana Kimono, maybe not dealing with as deep a subject. Somehow, this song really sounds like Summer Time Rain to me. Does that even make any sense to you? No? Okay, I’ll shut up now. ^^;Placement:
Yoshito Endou’s Deep Under.Lyrics:
No lyrics. The music does the talking for you.Rating:
Need I say more? Possibly my favorite song from Endou-san.
Sailor Neptune - Ruth
Tone/Mood
Ah music to my ears! I LOVE it as it's all piano and it's relaxing. Slow and steady, this piece puts all tension to rest. A good song can only do this, for me, if it makes me smile while listening to it. Not many songs have that affect on me but this one did. Good job!Placement
Not used in the show.Memorable
To me yes as I love piano pieces and this is staying with me and I hope to have the full version soon.Lyrics
None used. And I'm happy about it. As I've mentioned, Endo's singing isn't all that grand, but everything else is heaven.Overall Rating
5/5! Beautiful. Just beautiful. Slow ballads done on the piano make me drool. LOL! Not really but it does sooth my soul and I can't imagine giving this song a lower score.
Tuxedo Mask - Kero-chan
Tone/Mood:
Another piano melody YAY! For Yoshito! I love instrumental music and this one's not the exception. I can imagine this as a BGM for a scene where stuff is happening (without sound) like arrivals, confrontations, confessions and passionate lovers. Everything going on in slow motion and the camera switching from one scene to another (It can be movies, series, soap operas you choose XD).Placement:
Yoshito's band album.Memorable:
If I hear this piece of music on my Winamp later on, I will just recognize its Endo's playing the piano but I won't remember the title. (I think that it is because I don't know a lot of Japanese ^^; )Lyrics:
No lyrics, just some good piano musicOverall Rating:
5/5 it is excellent. He was meant to play the piano, what would happen if he just did that instead of singing ?
Sailor Mars - De'Angelo
Tone/Mood
It seems reminiscent. You can tell when a chorus could be sang. Instrumentals are very mysterious when it comes to aspects like this.Placement
N/AMemorable
I don't know about memorable here. There are no words to remind me, and the music doesn't necessarily back that up.Lyrics

I give this song a 3. I like the fact that this artist has some instrumental works, but the message of the song isn't quite clear. There are many aspects it could represent.
Dark Sailor Mercury - Ilse
Tone/Mood
Interesting, only music again. And it's piano. I've said before, how is it possible to be a rock star and a pianist at the same time? Well Yoshito is the answer! This is more relaxed after a hard day work instead of that stressful rock!Placement

Yes, maybe, I think.Lyrics

4 hearts! Good song, relaxed.
Princess Serenity - Elly
Tone/Mood
Very beautiful. I've always had a soft spot for piano pieces. Piano is where Yoshito's true talent lies; he should stick to the piano pieces instead of that rock crap he pulls (sorry guys, but I'm no fan of his rock music, though I do like the genre in general). Very calming, and it does indeed remind me of summer rain (we get a lot of it here in humid New York).Placement
This was not technically released on any of Yoshito's "CD's", but you can download it from his website under the piano section. On the website, Yoshito has this to say about this piece:This song is really like the continuation of "Hakana Kimono", and it was featured as the piano piece in a movie. The arrangement really has a little bit of a hyper feel to it, it's also piano music, and it looks like it still has some faults. I think my hand slowed down at some crucial points (*laughs*)
The chief of our band really thinks that I'm being a little self-centered because of the number of piano pieces I did! While I sit on the narrow straw mat, in just a moment the impact of these words on my heart catches up to me! The theme of my music is "eternity". For as long as there are changes, time will continue to change. It's a peaceful feeling that helps me sleep at night.
Memorable
As one of Yoshito Endo's best piano pieces, yes.Lyrics
It doesn't need lyrics; the piano music is enough to keep me entertained. Yoshito is really talented.Overall rating
Yeah yeah, I'm a softie for piano music. So sue me =p
Sailor Saturn - Miri-chan
Tone/Mood
Yes!!! Finally something calmer, with no screaming lyrics and annoying drums banging all over the place. Just like his previous album, we get a pretty piano piece. Now, this was something that I loved. It seemed almost sad. But then again, the title reflects that too. "Summertime Rain"... almost a distant song that wants to tell you something important. However, I'm still not able to tap into what that important "something" is. It bestows a sense of almost... death, in a way. A depressing song. I can just picture someone sitting inside their room in the darkness, with only a candle to light the way, and staring outside at the rainy night.Placement

5 out of 5 hearts. It was even better than Hakana Kimono, and was truly wonderful and inspiring.
Sailor V - Jessica
Tone/Mood
Without a visual placement it can sometimes be hard to discern the mood of some piano pieces, and for some reason I could swear this belongs in a film or TV show. It seems to touch on a variety of moods and doesn't swing too far to any extreme, as if it accompanies motion or a film montage.Placement

Think I'm going to be playing this one for a while. Some piano pieces have it, and some don't; this one certainly does.Lyrics

The peice is beautiful! I love the piano skills he has. Its so great. The tone itself gives off a very serene, peaceful feeling. Like as if you were looking out at a sunset, or watching leavs fall in Autumn, Great mood.Placement

As far as Piano instrumentals go, I will remember this. It warms the soul when you hear it, and it's so pretty, how could you forget it?Lyrics

A 4! Great sounds and chords in the piece. I love a guy who knows how to play his instrument right!! Yoshito is a master at the piano!
Sailor Pluto - Sailorasteroid

BGMy. Would fit well in the "girl in school uniform runs through town crying as sun is setting" montage in an anime.Placement:
I've just told you!Memorable:
you don't get good instrumentals these days outside of anime soundtracks, so give it some points.Lyrics:
What part of "instrumental" don't you get?Overall:
Sometimes you can say an awful lot by shutting up. Four.
Nephrite - Frosted_Rain
Tone/Mood
Mmmm... nothing like a good piano song. Relaxing, calm and comfortable. Few rock artists knows how to play piano, but not Endo-san. ^^ This piece (i think) has a high chance being inserted on a drama sequence of an anime or jdorama.Placement
