Sentimental and sad. People who read my reviews a lot know I'm a sucker for piano solos, and this is no exception. There's a lot of feeling put into both parts of the track. The second one brings in strings, but it edges out the first one - the strings cast a dark shadow over the piano line, which is very effective.

Very nice to listen to - unfortunately, not something easy to commit to memory.

Tone/Mood

It's sort of sad and longing. I love the piano part, it was pulled off wonderfully. It conveys so much feeling, and in the second part the strings add quite a bit to it. I think this piece is very good at capturing the feeling of longing. It's pretty neat that only three, maybe four instruments were used, yet it's so well put together that it's never tedious.
