Pink!Pink!Pink!

Dark Sailor Mercury - Ilse

Tone/Mood:

That rapper from Quiet Riot is back! They form a perfect pair! Again this is like R&B or something like that! But who is that guy? Anyway, it's perfect to dance. It's very upbeat. I really discovered more music styles because of Kawabe. What's next? Opera, Country (blah!), Classical? : P

Placement:

On Brilliance

Memorable:

Not really, the lyrics are just >.<

Lyrics:

Earrings aren't really urban yet, this time it's pink dye that does it
Sparkle sparkle and quiver when you're crowded

Jewel Box is filled with all of the earrings
This time you really won't satisfy me

Come Be My Boy everyone's saying you've snapped
Come Be My Love This time I won't be able to deny that love is a hot thing
Come Be My Boy My personality is like a glittery pink
Come Be My Love City and stars and your heart are things I will have

Why Pink? That's something I don't know what to say without sounding cheap
Carefully, only my shoes can get rid of that love

I just DON't GET the lyrics! Why are they about earrings and jewels??? Worthless junk. Curse you, who wrote this lyrics!

Overall rating:

Unfortunately, only 3. It's still nice, but those lyrics are just blah! Further it's just OK.

Sailor Mercury - Topaz

Tone/Mood

At first you hear a Guy and you thing ok this is going to have a R&B sound. But , BAM!. Back to the 80's. It has a very Madonna sound to it. Happy and upbeat, very danceable. But it also has the R & B feel to it. It a perfect blend of 80's meet 2000

HELL YES! I can not stop playing this so. The whole KC thing is cute! ijust love songs that have the dance feel to it. I am sure this would be the bomb at clubs. I need to have a party just so i can play this. And come on the title Pink! Pink! Pink! , how cute!

Lyrics

Jump to the left
Jump to the right
Party over here

I love this!!!!
These lyric are really about Pink. As in the color >< and really just seems like getting ready to go out to a party with friends

5! 5! 5! oh yes, di I say 5! ?

Zoicite - Ephie

Tone/Mood:

Oh dear sweet Jesus. That was my first thought as the song started. That rap thing is back. I first didn't think it was a Chieko song because that GUY is there. Moving on, I get an early 90s feel to this and can only picture lots of neon leg warmers and big hair. While I'm a big fan of early 90s music, I'm not the biggest follower of R&B or rap, but coupled with this style, I just find it clashing horribly. It makes me feel as if I'm listening to a battle of the bands, almost.

Placement:

Chieko's CD

Memorable:

I hope to God I don't remember this one. I do like the general melody, though, but I think it would be one of those songs that would just nag in the back of your mind, refusing to go away.

Lyrics:

While I moan and complain about this song, I do like the lyrics with this one. I think my favorite line is "Come be my love, a hundered yen and today will shine." It's just very cute and I think about her going to buy some sparkly pink hairclip with it, something superficial, yes, but the whole song leds that feeling, I think, and I like it for that.

Overall rating:

This song merits a 2 from me. Lyrics are cute, music is horrid, but it's better than a 1.

Kuroki Mio - Kara

TONE/MOOD:

The club sound again. This comes across as a vapid dance song, and really in the end, that's all it ends up being to me. It's nice enough for one listen, probably as background music for a scene in a show or something ... but on its own, just to listen to, it doesn't shine. And why do they insist on warping Chieko's beautiful voice?

PLACEMENT:

Kawabe Chieko's 'Brilliance' album.

MEMORABLE:

No. Just ... no.

LYRICS:

There are a few cute lyrics about winning someone over, but mostly it seems to be about how great pink is. Not only do I disagree with that, but I think she's done the winning-someone-over theme a lot better elsewhere. And why is there a rap interlude?

OVERALL:

2 out of five hearts. It only gets two hearts because I can bop along to it as background noise, and because Chieko has a nice voice. But I feel like this is a waste of said nice voice.

Sailor Pluto - Ciao

Tone/Mood

From the title (before hearing the song) I'm not sure I'm gonna like it. I'm not a huge fan of the colour, let alone the word 'Pink'.

Oke....this is different. It starts out almost like a rap song, but then it goes into a synth-like line. Oke....but then it turns into a bubble gum dance-rap type song. Not my favourite kind of song. Dance, sure, but....just too....peppy for me.

Memorable

I like the rap parts of it but that's about it. I probably won't bother to remember it as I find the whole thing rather annoying, still.

Lyrics

The lyrics are a bit repetitive and VERY sugary. I guess that's why it's got the title it does. It's all sickly sweet and...*gags* cute.

Overall Rating

1/5. I'm sorry to anyone who likes this kind of cutesy stuff but I'm just soooooo not into it as to almost be really annoyed I have to be subjected to this. *turns off*

Sailor Neptune - Ruth

Tone Mood

Hmmm...rap and hip hop and pop all rolled into one is your best bet. Sounds technoish as well. Think 80's music! Yeah, that's it. If you grew up in the 80's you'll know what I mean. LOL!

Placement

Not used in PGSM.

Memorable

Nope. Well maybe the rap portion only because it was in English. But other then that, no, I can't say it was really memorable.

Lyrics

"Important people inside the house with the cat of many colors and god
Who of them can know what the beating of my heart is like?"

Huh? what does a cat have to do with love? *is confused* And the rap....uh yeah...

Overall Rating

I give this song a 2 out of five. 2 out of five for the techno/rap/hip hop/pop song! That's a lot higher then I thought I would give it. *shrugs* I don't know why, but this song sucks-to me that is. *hides again from throwing objects*

Sailor Luna - Emo-chan

Tone/Mood

WHOA! Flashback to the 80s!!!*grooves* Wow, this song reminded me of the 1980s so much, which a funky techno touch to it from modern times. Soooo 80's..

Placement

1980's?

Memorible

Oh yeah, i know i'll think of this song, because of it's awsome beat and her voice is awosme in it. I think of a mixture of madonna and tiffany when i hear this song. Is that weird?

Lyrics

Come be my boy the ceremony isn't all that lively Come be my love Isn't it wonderful that the color pink has such a magic? This time for sure I wont pretend I'm running Come be my love a hundred yen and today will shine This song reminds me of material girl from Madonna, because she talks about money and love. She sounds a little shallow in it.

Overall

I'll guve this song a 3. It isnt my favorite, and it kinda sounds a littke shallow. The random rap in the middle also turned me off a little bit^^;

Tuxedo Mask - Kero-chan

Tone/Mood:

Yay! I think that with Brilliance this is also my favorite song of the month! It is excellent that mixture between j-pop and R&B. The guy from Quiet Riot has come back and he makes the song even better, him and Chieko make and excellent duo when they do Popish R&B songs XD. I like the background voices and instruments, that pound-like sound is really cool. Chieko's voice with the electronic arranges is sounds great and it is a great addition to the entire song.

Placement:

You can find this song in "Brilliance".

Memorable:

Of course! I love the entire song, the rap, Chieko's voice, the background everything. Also, this song relaxed me a lot because there was this time when I came out of a really difficult test (it was the last one of that period) and I was really stressed out (oh! By the way, it was Friday!), I got into the bus, put on my disk man, and started listening to "Brilliance CD" songs, I had already heard Pink!3 but this time was different, I actually listened to the song and liked it a lot! I played it more than 3 times! XDDD and it made my day relaxing and pretty happy! ^_~ Thanks Chieko and Mr. Rap-Man. XD

Lyrics:

Not for having a nice melody the lyrics have to be that good but this is my favorite part! XD

Come Be My Boy everyone's saying you've snapped
Come Be My Love This time I won't be able to deny that love is a hot thing
Come Be My Boy My personality is like a glittery pink
Come Be My Love City and stars and your heart are things I will have

This is a "just to have fun" song, so there's no deep meaning or something important to tell. But, it is impressive how the tone and Chieko's voice (also Mr. Rap-Man) can really make your day! XD

Overall Rating:

Totally 5 out of 5!!! Excellent!!! Oh by the way, I really enjoy doing this month reviews, all the songs are good, some of them better than others but that doesn't matter. Chieko Rules!!! I know now that I am a huge fan of hers, and on my birthday I'm going to ask for her album! XD.

Sailor V - Jessica

Tone/Mood

Can you say perky? Its not hyper or sickeningly cute, which it could have been, from the title, but it is upbeat and quite randomly positive. Its more of something to dance or sing to that just sit and listen; if you're going to play the song, its something to play loud.

Placement

None in PGSM

Memorable

I just remember thinking I had to send this to a friend just for the title. The song is more memorable for the sheer randomness and the style its in and the random guy back to do more rap. Depends what mood you're in as to whether you can stand listening to the rap piece, or whether you're going to think its just too cheesy

Lyrics

Come Be My Boy everyone's saying you've snapped
Come Be My Love This time I won't be able to deny that love is a hot thing
Come Be My Boy My personality is like a glittery pink
Come Be My Love City and stars and your heart are things I will have

Is it just me or are these the only lyrics that make any sort of sense together in English? And even then they're rather random not as bad as the rest of the song though. If you're going to like this song, think more of the melody and beat and don't think about the lyrics too much

3/5

Princess Sailor Moon - Kaitlin

Tone/Mood

I have a few Cheico fans for friends - all of whom loved this song. So as I turned it on I waited with eager anticipation. I hear... english rap? 80's beats? Honest to god, this could have been taken out of the 80's. It's Chieco does Cyndi Lauper!!! AHH! The music itself isn't bad, and it is quite upbeat. There's a reason that music has changed since the 80's though. It's "classic" but shouldn't be recreated. It doesn't sound like the hyperactive song I would expect from its title. I'm a bit disappointed actually.

Placement

On her CD

Memorable

Only if you're a fan of hers ^^

Lyrics

Earrings aren't really urban yet, this time it's pink dye that does it
Sparkle sparkle and quiver when you're crowded

Ughhh it's gonna be one of THOSE songs. *shudders* Let's get on with the complaints...

Come Be My Boy everyone's saying you've snapped
Come Be My Love This time I won't be able to deny that love is a
hot thing
Come Be My Boy My personality is like a glittery pink
Come Be My Love City and stars and your heart are things I will
have

Any reason why he's snapped? You made no other mention of it. And yes, love is a hot thing. You also don't SOUND glittery pink. If the guy is going to come be your love, he'd have to give his heart... wouldn't he?

Important people inside the house with the cat of many colors and god
Who of them can know what the beating of my heart is like?

What the hell...?

*heavy sigh* I can't even begin to describe the rapping. Download this if only to hear that part.

2 - No. BAD BAD BAD! But the rapping is great.

Princess Serenity - Elly

Tone/Mood

This song is so HAPPY! Personally, I've always really liked 80's music, especially the really cheesy stuff, like Vanilla Ice and New Kids on the Block (remember them?! I was OBSESSED when I was four years old. I had the freakin' New Kids on the Block action figures, and a Johnathan Knight comforter set o.O;;;) Compared to the happiness of New Kids on the Block, Pink!Pink!Pink! is comparatively more relaxed.

Placement
