I'll give it 4 hearts. Not 5 because the song doesn't have something special. Melody is nice, beat is good, only the lyrics are a bit useless.
Kuroki Mio - Kara
TONE/MOOD:
My first instinct was that this sounds like a jingle for some sort of alcoholic drink. It shook that off after a minute and decided to be a pretty decent song. It doesn't go too far being either hyper or slow - it falls into a nice spot in the middle. I'm not a fan of the orchestration, though. Too poppy.PLACEMENT:

Pop! Pop! Pop! Total JPop song! This is a good song to dance to in a club or listen to while hanging out with your friends. Though I wouldn't dance at a Costco like they do in the PV. May just get arrested. :P The song puts me in a happy mood only because it's so happy sounding. And you can sing along while you dance!Placement

I heard this song after "Be Your Girl" and I love this song so much more. It has more feeling to it and it sounds better. Here voice just shines through (haha all puns intended) and I do believe that is what sets this song from her first single!Lyrics

Haha! Chieko is drinking wine and she's underage! Nah, she's just trying to prove that she is mature and that they should go somewhere and dance the night away.

5/5! Much better then 'Be Your Girl' as it has more umph to it. Meaning more energy is being used in the song. This has to be my third fav. Chieko song so far!

Grow up? Please. People who are actually old enough to drink don't brag about sippping wine like it makes them adult. Besides of which, the song doesn't come off as sophisticated enough to have Kawabe sippping wine. Maybe a wine cooler, but not actual wine. Bah.

A very nice dance song! It's happy; it's perfect for a party or just to listen on Friday evening (to celebrate the weekend! XD). I like the instruments they used in the song, the guitar is perfect and makes a good compliment to Chieco's voice. Whenever you're sad, this song might bring you happiness.Placement:

I think that every song of Chieco will be memorable to me; I just love her. I think that she is my first Japanese idol that I actually like and follow. Lots of funky bass in her songs... This is pretty decent to start. Interesting, for sure. But not what I was hoping for. The "upbeat" parts just aren't "upbeat" enough for me. Still, her voice is plesant and the tune is nice, so it's not all bad. And allll the engrish!PLACEMENT:

I do enjoy the lyrics for this song, which I suppose saves it a bit. This little bit gives a feeling of hope, knowing that the future will be brighter and better.

I think this song gets a 2. I don't much care for it, but I do like the lyrics, just not sung like that. Unfortunately, for songs I dislike, I don't have too much to say.

This is such a sunny weather song for me. It makes me happy just to hear it, and one night, all I did was sit there and listen to this, driving hubby nuts. With some of the lyrics in English, this had the potential to be a disaster if she couldn't pronounce them properly, but she's done an awesome job on it. You can't tell she doesn't speak it natively (or at least not as much anyway, which is the general idea). It sounds like whatever practicing she's had has paid off in spades. 5/5 as this is one of my ultimate favourite songs of Kawabe-san's. It shows off a bit of her English skillz too, as some of the lyrics are in English, rather than mangled Engrish.

The tone is optimistic and the mood happy and hopeful. Okay, so its clearly a happy-happy-pop-song, but its lovely. Maybe its just me, but it makes me want to dance, if only because of the beat of 'dance dance' in the chorus'. It's a track to play when you're happy, perhaps not if you're depressed as it'll most likely annoy you.Placement

2 out of 5 hearts. All those drinking and partying reminds me of memories of past. It's a nice song for young girls and girls at heart. Not a song for macho, testosterone active boys.
