Ravens Crying

Queen Beryl - Molly

Tone/Mood

Its a very slow moving, almost lonely sounding song in the beginning. It speeds up a little once you get farther into the song, but it still keeps its lonely feeling.

Memorable

I would call this song memorable. Mostly, because it paints beautiful pictures in my mind when I listen to it with my eyes closed.

Lyrics

It doesn't need any lyrics to get the point across....

Overall Rating

5!

Kuroki Mio - Kara

TONE/MOOD:

This starts out sounding like it should be the death-scene music for a hero in a Chinese period flick. Maybe that's just me. But as it moves along, it develops a lot more character and emotion. It doesn't really 'get to me' in the way that Endo's other pieces do, but I can hear the emotion behind his playing.

MEMBORABLE:

Not terribly.

OVERALL:

2 out of 5. Nice if it were playing randomly in the background, but it doesn't do anything for me. Still, Endo's passion in his playing saves this from being a total loss.

Sailor Uranus - G.E. Artemis

Tone/Mood:

And you can imagine how I felt when I heard a third piano piece. Yay!! ^^; Anyway, this one seems more like Hakana Kimono’s style to me-it seems like it could have a much deeper meaning behind it. What that could be, I have no idea. I can’t get the message as clearly as I could with Hakana Kimono. But that doesn’t matter, I love this song anyway.

Placement:

Yoshito Endou’s Deep Under.

Lyrics:

No lyrics, again.

Rating:

All of the piano songs are beautiful. Yay for Yoshito-san!

Sailor Neptune - Ruth

Tone/Mood

Another piano piece but so far it isn't as nice as Natsu Toki Ame but I still have 2 minutes to go. Alrighty, the song is getting better. Hey, even I don't like bits and pieces of piano music and this song just so happens to have a beginning I don't care for. Anyway, the song does grow on the listener after the first minute and I can hear a story behind the notes. It starts off slow and picks up then slows down again. Maybe a hidden crush or something Endo is trying to say through his music. ^^

Placement

Not used in the show.

Memorable

I'd have to listen to it a few times to really give you a yes or no.

Lyrics

None used.

4/5! Starts off shakey but the song gradually picks up and becomes beautiful. Again, I'd have to listen to this song a few times to determine if I'd buy the single.

Tuxedo Mask - Kero-chan

Tone/Mood:

We got to my favorite of the month; when I first heard "Shinkirou" I was transported to the sky the piano is so relaxing, the melody smoothes your mind. You can just lie in your bed or sit on a comfy sofa and listen to Shinkirou over and over again, with the soft and cool wind on your face forgetting all your problems and just be taken by the gorgeousness of the melody

Placement:

Yoshito's band album.

Memorable:

Yes, by far the best piano piece of Endo-san. Excellent for relaxing yourself, excellent to work with (like now, that I'm making my reviews and listening to it over and over again), to sleep with (as a lullaby XD). Good job Endo-san, keep up the good work and give us more "Shinkirou"'s

Lyrics:

No lyrics, just some EXCELLENT piano music

Overall Rating:

If I could, I would give this piece of music 10 stars but because we can't and the rating is just for five stars I'll give it 5 then

Sailor Mars - De'Angelo

Tone/Mood

It has a peaceful melody. It goes so slow for most of the song. I could fall asleep in this. The tune reminds me of a song on a video game I once played! xD

Memorable

Memorable isn't the word for it! This songs reminds me so much of my pokémon games! xD I know that has nothing to do with this, but that's just what it reminds me of. I think I'll leave this on when I go to bed at some point! ~.^

I give this song a 5. I love the peacefulness of it. Unlike the other instrumental song I reviewed for this month, it's theme isn't as mysterious and I can even fall asleep with it on! xD

Dark Sailor Mercury - Ilse

Tone/mood

Same as Natsu toki ame, BEAUTIFUL! Nice nice nice Yoshito!!! I want to hear more of this! It's very, very nice to listen!

5! 5! 5! Yoshito, you rock (on your guitar and on your piano)!

Princess Serenity - Elly

Tone/mood

Very tranquil and relaxing. It's slow paced but builds up to a more complicated piece. I like it.

Placement

This is not featured on any of Yoshito's CDs, but it is listed on his piano piece page. So, I guess that's enough xD

Memorable

Not really. It's very pretty, but it doesn't really stick out in my mind. What I did find interesting though, was the name of the title - "Mirage". Does anyone remember that song "Tuxedo Mirage" from the anime? Such a pretty song. So I guess even though this song isn't meant to be, it is still tied into the Sailormoon theme. Odd, isn't it?

Lyrics

This is an instrumental piece.

Very pretty piece. I'd like to hear more. I wonder if it has a longer version...

Sailor Saturn - Miri-chan

Tone/Mood

Another piano piece! He really outdid himself on the piano this time. Although Shinkirou was slow and calming, I didn't really like the deep, low accompaniment. I have this strange anxiety disorder, so whenever I hear low vibrations (such as a piano string), my heartbeat quickens and I feel a rush of danger and I get really scared for no apparent reason. After a minute, I had to turn the song off or else I would have fainted. But if you're going for the low ostinato, then this is the piece for it.

3 out of 5. Too slow for my liking.

Sailor V - Jessica

Tone/Mood

Anyone want to employ him as a background music composer? Somebody should. Something about the timing and beat, as the piece goes on, seems to convey rising despair. Other than that, its generally slow and the mood quite down, I'd say it was a relaxing piece, but it just gets me wound up for some reason.

Placement

None in PGSM

Memorable

I'd say its not as memorable as Natsu Toki Ame, but its different enough to stand out amongst other plain piano pieces.

Sailor Luna - Emo-chan

Tone/Mood

Aww...its sounds so pretty! I love piano! It sounds so simple in the beginning, and I get images of rain outside of a house in the afternoon. I'm quite imaginative aren't I? ha. The tone sounds more sad than in Natsu Toki Ame, but it still has a soul-warming effect.

Placement

N/A, but it wouldve been really pretty to hear in PGSM

Memorible

I think so. His skills on the piano are great!

A 5! I really like this. It's a longer sample than Natsu Toki Ame, plus the images it gives me are more wonderful. I love it!

Sailor Pluto - Sailorasteroid

Mood:

that of an etude. At least, until the final minute, where it finally streaks into a sort of melody. But mostly it's just the working out of some ideas on the piano.

Placement:

What is this, six degrees of separation?

Memorable:

not as good as Natsu Toki Ame, owing to its simplistic time-keeping rhythms.

Lyrics:

Overall:

simple piece suitable for relaxation over tea. Not offensive to anyone, but no inspiration either. Three.

Nephrite - Frosted_Rain

Tone/Mood

More piano music from a rock band. The intro kinda sounds Japanese with all those *klang-klang* sounds. ^^ Strange and enigmatic this song is. Another song highly recommended on rainy days.

Memorable

Reminds me of a Korean movie (My Sassy Girl) with lots of piano music as background to the scene.
