Maybe I'm being harsh, but to me, all her songs seem to sound the same. I'd really love to hear her sing one emotional extreme or the other. This song sounds almost childlike, but I'd go for a more depressing edge to this one than the others.

Tone/Mood

Starts with a piano intro Very sensitive Then it's getting more cheerful although the lyrics are sad That isn't really a good combination I think They could have used more cheerful lyrics or the melody should have been more sad.

On one of her singles (strange, why didn't she made an album? Or has she made one?)

This is what I mean. The lyrics are very sad, and the melody is cheerful. Why the hell they did this?! It doesn't make sense. But it's also very good, they did the cheerful melody, it tells people to don't be sad. :

I would say 3,5 but because it isn't allowed to give half hearts I give it 4! Good song, only too bad they picked the wrong melody.

Tuxedo Mask - Kero-chan

Tone/Mood:

The opening is very similar to Chobits theme "there's no one in town" and her voice sounds just like Chi's XD. This one too, sounds like it could be a nice opening/ending for some anime. I like the tone and her voice, her voice is different in here than in the other songs, here she sounds a bit shyer (I think because the song is demanding that) but even so I like it.

You can fin this song in the B-side for her "Sotsugyou" single.

Memorable:

Of the five songs that we are reviewing this month, I think this one's the least to remember, it sounds good and it's a nice song but it doesn't have anything new and her voice can sound a bit monotone by minute three.

Lyrics:

They are very similar to the others songs of the month, the talk about a relationship, they broke and she is remembering him. I like this part:

There isn't really anything I want to see
I laugh innocently
I want to see you
But I don't really understand why right now

Of the entire lyrics, this one show how she is feeling on that moment, the ironic of her feelings and how she wants to forget yet her heart refuses to do that.

Sailor Saturn - Miri-chan

Tone/Mood

I opened the file, and already I was like "Wow, this is beautiful music!" It sounds like a sort of song that would play during an inspirational or parting scene in an anime episode/movie. It seems like a very slow, sad, longing ballad. The only part I didn't like was the four note chime in the break towards the end.

I thought it was pretty memorable. The lilting melody makes it pretty easy to learn, and easy to remember.

Lyrics

I didn't really like the lyrics to the song. They didn't speak to me like the music did, and they are sort of... for lack of a better word, strange.

4 out of 5 hearts. I think better lyrics would really help.

Sailor Uranus - G.E. Artemis

Tone/Mood:

When I first listened to it, I thought it was a piano song XD Anyway, the background music is pretty, but whoever composed this song needs to work a little more on originality. Moeko�s songs seems to have that problem-too generic. By the way, did anyone else think that the piano solo near the end sounded like it was ripped off a Meow Mix commercial?

Kuroki Mio - Kara

TONE/MOOD:

I like piano in music. I'm biased. But the piano blends nicely with Moeco's voice here. And the orchestration isn't unobtrusive, but it leaves enough room for the vocals and piano to be heard. Something about it seems very ... mainstream, though. But the aforementioned piano helps it break away some.

PLACEMENT:

MEMBORABLE:

Not as much as 'Natsu Iro,' but it's up there.

LYRICS:

This is just a sweet song in every respect. There's nothing that really stands out to me in the lyric translation, but everything meshes nicely.

OVERALL:

3 out of 5. Not bad, but not something I'll come running back to.

Sailor Luna - Emo-chan

Another pretty song. I like how her voice sounds in this song. I feel the instruments kinda overpower her voice in some parts though.

I like this song, but not as much as her others. I don't think I'll remember it easily.

I like the words. It's a sad song and it talks of a common problem.

Sailor Neptune - Ruth

Tone/Mood

Piano first then drums kick in. Not bad. This is a somewhat slow ballad then it picks up in some parts. This would be a good song to make a MV out of...LOL! I like the chorus a lot as it's catchy and it's already stuck in my head.

Someone has a crush! *snickers* But haven't we ALL been there and done that? *whistles* Ok ok. This section of the lyrics suggest that she does infact have a secret crush but can't tell him about it.

Overall Rating

4 out of five. A secret crush song only deserves a four. It ties with Sotsugyou of likeness on my part. Though I think I can only listen to this a few times then I KNOW I'll get tired of it. >.> Better stick with listening to it maybe once a week.

Princess Serenity - Elly

My favorite lines from this song. I'm not really sure what's so special about these lines to me, but for some reason they seem romantic in an odd kind of way.

Matsushita Moeko could do so much more with her voice. It seems like she's holding something back when she sings. So depressing, because I'm sure if she really let loose, her songs would be more interesting to listen to.

Nephrite - Frosted_rain

A good intro on using the piano then with the drums. A mellow song about confusion and innocence of first love among inexperienced lovers.

Confusion, doubt� one of the things that can cause of being heartbroken. No reason at all� one might say. The feeling of longing for a desire but cannot think if it�s good or not. Concentrate more� concentrate!

Overall Rating

Not my type. Dry and confusing. Off-vocals version of this song will be better for me to listen. It�s not that I don�t like Moeco�s voice; it�s good as a background song. 3 out of 5 hearts.

Sailor Pluto - Sailorasteroid

Mood:

Too rushed for its subject matter. So many of her songs would be perfection if they just slowed it down a few beats per minute and junked the drum set.

Feh, I can�t think of anything; I�m bitter.

The fade is the only part that doesn�t fall into radio hit hell

Lyrics:

The disjointed words, as in the line �"Friends" you say will leave me too� could be nice, only the music treats them as if they formed a complete sentence.

Overall:

A poor finish. Still I�m looking for a song to match Ame. Two.
