Dark Sailor Mercury - Ilse


Tone/Mood

Okay, I really like this one!!!! It’s played when the other senshi pick up their old life again, when the world is healed again in act 49. You see Ami-chan and Naru-chan in class, Rei-chan playing hide and seek, with a bunch of kids, you see Mako-chan playing basketball. The other part is played often when Ami and Usagi are fooling around

Sailor Saturn - Miri-chan


Tone/Mood

Even though it's a typical anime day BGM, this one actually reminds me of the BGM from the original BSSM series. In fact, I can almost swear that a similar BGM was used in BSSM. It's more old-styled and not as upbeat, but it really brings back all these memories throughout the series and its predecessor. It's very "Sailormoon-ish". The second part reminds me of Christmas, for some reason, which is cool because I positively adore Christmas. To put it simply, it's fun and wraps things up.

DJ Moon 1, various happy, typical moments in the series.

Memorable

Very very very! As I said before, it reminds me a lot of both PGSM and BSSM.

Sailor Uranus - G.E. Artemis


Tone/Mood:

Very positive and upbeat. You could probably dance to this. I’ve noticed that in all of the BGM pieces so far, near the middle or the end of the song it suddenly changes tone. The second half of this song doesn’t fit in with the beginning.

It randomly changes to some completely different song and makes me go "WTF?"

Kuroki Mio - Kara


TONE/MOOD:

The mood for this one is also 'Usagi,' but it's nice and laid-back - at least for the first half. I prefer the second half just a hair, but they're both equally fun. The piano is under there, although people don't really hear it consciously; it gives the whole thing a warmer sound than the other pieces this month.

PLACEMENT:

PGSM (all over)

MEMORABLE:

Yeah. It gives me that nice warm fuzzy feeling.

OVERALL:


3 out of 5. It's one of the pieces of BGM out of the show that's just 'comfortable' to listen to.

Sailor Luna - Emo-chan


Tone/Mood

Well if this isn’t Usagi’s theme, I don’t know what is. It’s upbeat and sweet sounds make it friendly to the ear and reminds me of Usagi. It’s happy tone makes it very beautiful.

Placement

Well since I consider this to be Usagi’s BG theme in the series, this was played a lot within the show, especially in the beginning.

Memorable

Oh yes, I think I’ll remember this bg. It oozes Usagi in it, and it makes me smile whenever I listen to it.

I have to give this piece a FIVE because I love it so much! It’s so pretty and uplifting to the ears! Though that is the opposite of Usagi sometimes...^^;

Sailor Mercury - Alexander


Tone/Mood:

I consider this peace the best from November's songs to review. It's not used that much like the other four. It's also optimistic, different and... better.

Placement:

DJ Moon 1 Album, and in some acts, I can't actually remember in which ones, but I suppose when Usagi makes something funny.

Memorable:

Not very much, at least for me...

Nephrite - Frosted_Rain


Tone/Mood

Smooth and clear. Mostly played when Usagi is up to her weird things throughout the series. Preety jumpy.

Placement

First used in Act 06 when Usagi dragged Makoto in a shopping adventure (BGM used can be found at 01:18)

Memorable

Some BGM in The Sims while doing shopping for new things. Kinda feminine oriented to me.

Sailor V - Jessica


Tone/Mood

Positive, upbeat and nicely split into two definite halves. I prefer the second half, if only because I prefer its pace to the slow waltz of the first half. The sections compliment each other nicely, even if the beat of both halves can get a little annoying in their separate ways.

Placement

Multiple PGSM episodes.

Memorable

I recognise the piece but can’t place it to a specific episode. As the Acts got more serious, I think it may have been phased out a little. Might just be me saying that though... I can place and remember the later episodes better than the early ones.

Sailor Pluto - Sailorasteroid


Mood:

(For the record, this is way late and I'm doing them off versions of the songs I downloaded many months prior. So, while it's unlikely, it's possible I have a different version) The first part of this song sounds like a bad imitation of Arisawa's anime BGM. But the second part uses cellos to stand on its own and not be derivative.

Placement:

Yeah, we're going to need cues on this one, because I don't know when it was used. The second part sounds like a "walking-from-school-to-the-karaoke-place" music.

Memorable:

Not really. Basic violin piece used during establishment shots that fades into the background after the first few bars.

Lyrics:

Great, we lose one dead category for each song, and gain another.

I don't like the ripping of the anime style. Let's say three and be nice.
