Television:"Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon", a televised, live-action remake of the popular Japanese series "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon" by Takeuchi Naoko, aired from October 4th 2003 until September 25, 2004. The show aired at 7:30 AM on Saturdays. To be able to be distinguished from the anime and manga of the series with the same title, fans began calling the live-action series "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" - the same name that began appearing on printed merchandise from the new sentai series. Kawabe Chieko was cast as the character "Naru Osaka", who played the lead character's (Tsukino Usagi, played by Sawai Miyuu) best friend. She appeared in several episodes, her character's role appearing less toward the end of the series. "English Speaking Night" (you can visit their official website in Japanese by clicking here is a talk show that airs at 11:45 PM in Japan (7 AM EST) every Monday. The show is centered around the cast learning English, through interviews and conversations with "famous" celebrities from America and other English-speaking countries. The celebrities featured range from unknown actors and actresses from the English-speaking world, to big names like George Lucas. It's popular because of it's interviews with celebrities, and because I guess English is still cool to speak in Japan. The title is rather bland; English Speaking because English is the language the show is targetted to (the actors speak English, the interviewers speak English, etc.) and Night because it airs - you guessed it - at night time. Kawabe Chieko is on staff for the show now, learning how to speak English and advertising her new CDs and singles when they come out. She seems to be learning a lot of English from her activities as a cast member, as she's mentioned several times on her online blog. Chieko is not a major cast member - she appears on episodes irregularly, and only appears briefly in those episodes where she is present.
"Uchira Style" seems to be a collection of programming for young girls. It ranges from actual television shows, and live events in the Tokyo Metropolitan area featuring idols and celebrities. Kawabe Chieco seems to be involved in the "Uchira Style" live events occassionally. More information coming soon.

The single features the tracks "15 no Blues" and "Strawberry Six Pocket", which is just a re-mix of the first song. There are no instrumental versions of the songs. "Love Berry" is a Japanese fashion magazine that is published monthly. Kawabe Chieko is a featured model in this magazine, and often plugs her musical works in the magazine as well as does some fabulous modeling for brands like "Lizzie Maguire". For scans of Kawabe Chieko modeling in Love Berry, I highly reccommend visiting Three-Lights.net. The webmistress has spent lots of time and money finding all scans relating to Kawabe Chieko, and has the largest collection of Kawabe Chieko scans on the internet. She happens to be a big fan of both Japanese fashion and Kawabe Chieko =) I've linked you to the magazines section of her site.
"Pop" is Kawabe Chieko's 50 minute long idol video. It was released on March 22nd, 2002. It talks about her career as it was at that point, and features lots of cute pictures and scenes with Chieko. A must have for all die-hard fans =) For ordering information, please visit CD Japan.
"Otogizoushi" is a historically based anime series, about Minamoto no Raiko, a famous samurai well-known for his archery skills, to recover a legendary gem said to hold mysterious power to save the world. The series is 26 episodes long. I do not know if there is a manga for the series as well. However, Kawabe Chieko sings both ending themes for the series: for episodes 1-13, she sings the ending song "Hoshi ni Negai wo". For episodes 14-26, she sings the ending song "Cry Baby". Her voice is also featured in the soundtrack for the anime, where other songs by her are featured. The anime was produced by Production I.G, which also produced anime like FLCL and Azumanga Daioh. The musical production company was VAP, the company that handles Kawabe Chieko's musical career. For more information about the anime, please visit the Anime News Network's website. We've linked you to the "Otogizoushi" page.
"Elfin Lied" is a very violent anime about a diclonius named Lucy who had the power to destroy the world, and her involvement with a college student named Kouta, and his cousin Yuka, who has a crush on him. Please note: this anime is VERY violent. I've seen a few of the episodes, and this anime is definitely not intended for children. There are instances of nudity, sexual innuendo, and there is a lot of gore and violence. Kawabe Chieko was hired through VAP, the agency that was hired to do the musical production for the series to do the ending theme "Be Your Girl". In my opinion, the song really didn't match the anime - such a sweet, upbeat song for such a violent, dark anime. *shrug* It's up to personal taste though, I suppose. For more information about Elfin Lied, please visit AnimeNfo.com. We've linked you to their Elfin Lied page.
"Water Moon" is a Radio show that airs at 10:55 PM on Radio 80 on Wednesdays. Kawabe Chieko gets to play DJ and select one of her favorite songs to play, or just advertises her latest album/single. For more information about Water Moon, please visit the official Water Moon website.
"15" is Kawabe Chieko's one and only photobook. It was published (you guessed it) when she was just 15 years old. For scans of the photos within the book, please visit Three-Lights.Net. We've linked you to the "15" Photobook page.
