J jizo (じぞ) - a statue that is erected for the soul of a departed child. Mameha has three jizo statues, one for each of the children she had aborted at the Baron's request. jorouya (女郎屋) - the word "jorou" (女郎) literally meaning prostitute, and "ya" (屋) indicating a store or shop, the phrase "jorou-ya" literally means "prostitute store"; a brothel. return to the encyclopedia |
