Movie Soundtrack Downloads Composed and conducted by the famous John Williams, the "Memoirs of a Geisha" original soundtrack contains performances by the Pro Musica Nipponia Ensemble, including solo pieces by Yo Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman. John Williams is also responsible for the soundtracks of other movies like Munich, Pride and Prejudice, Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone, and The Lion King. While I do offer these pieces for download, I encourage you to please buy the soundtrack if you like the music. Please be considerate of the artists's works and of my bandwidth; do not direct link these downloads or stream the music; save the tracks to your own hard drive. You can do this by right-clicking on the download link, and selecting "save as". Thank you.
Rumors A very popular myth regarding two tracks on the soundtrack has arisen since its release. People who share the soundtrack tend to put a note in the download folder that the tracks "The Chairman's Waltz" and "The Garden Meeting" are the same song, and that the soundtrack producers made a mistake of this as listing them as two separate songs. This is absolutely not true! Not only are the openings of the two songs different, but the track lengths are also slightly different. While the overall melody of the violin is the same, the construction of the tracks are not. If you listen to the two songs carefully, there are a number of differences that make these songs unique to themselves. They are two different songs and as such, they are reflected that way on this website and on the CD soundtrack. Track Listing
