Naruru and Ruruna, often refered to as "Sailor Gucci" and "Sailor Channel", appear in Volume 17, Chibiusa's Picture Diaries. Naruru has orange hair while Ruruna has lavender-ish hair. Naruru and
Ruruna were friends of Chibiusa. They take Chibiusa to a pawn
shop to purchase a Sailor Moon costume and a Sailor Mercury costume.
Land developers try to destroy the shop, and Naruru and Ruruna
attempt to stop them while dressed up in their costumes. A spirit
appears while they are fighting and "Chubby Mask,"
or Debutcho Kamen, saves Ruruna and Naruru. Eternal Sailor Moon
and Sailor Chibimoon fight the evil spirit, and everyone's happy. These two are often refered to as "Sailor Gucci" and "Sailor Chanel," because they like to collect things from the fake brand-names, "Guccicci" and "Channel." I used to believe they were called "Sailor Gucci and Chanel" because they collected from the real brand names, "Gucci" and "Chanel." But, apparently, translated they are literally "Guccicci" and "Channel" and they both say the brand names originated from a different person/place than Gucci and Chanel. Any corrections? tell me!! |
