Michiru (English) Michelle Kaiou Michiru is the talented and sophisticated violinist, high school student, and Sailor Neptune. She plays the violin so well that she has had a few concerts. She also loves to swim, which is not surprising because Sailor Neptune is the senshi of the sea. Michiru also lives with Haruka (Sailor Uranus) who also happens to be her friend, schoolmate, and partner. Michiru carries the Deep Aqua Mirror (or Submarine Mirror in the manga). Michiru is first seen swimming in a pool at her apartment and then heading off to school with Haruka. The first time Michiru meets the senshi, or Mamoru actually, she literally bumps into him outside the arcade and drops her mirror. Mamoru tries to pick up her mirror for her, but jerks back when she tries to pick it up at the same time. Michiru talks to Mamoru for a few minutes and then leaves with Haruka. Afterwards, Usagi disguises herself as a student of the school Michiru and Haruka attends and snoops around. Usagi hears a violin playing and is drawn to Michiru who, well, is playing her violin. Haruka and Michiru warn Usagi and the rest of the senshi to leave them alone and Usagi is chased out of the school grounds. Later on, two mysterious senshi, who look like Michiru and Haruka, appear after Sailor Moon destroys a cat-possessing demon. Michiru finally appears at Sailor Neptune along with Sailor Uranus to help the senshi fight a demon sent by Kaolinite. Sailor Neptune, along with Sailor Pluto and Sailor Uranus, help the senshi in their fight against Mistress 9 and Master Pharaoh 90, and then take care of the rapidly growing baby Hotaru afterwards.
