Surprise Waiting for You

When Darian got to his apartment, he noticed a pink piece of paper on the door. It was from Serena. It read:
Dear Darian,
Greg said that you where coming home today for sure so I had Amy leave this note on your door. I missed you so much. I need you to come down to St. Edward's Hospital before 4:00. I have a surprise waiting for you and I know you'll love it. Raye, Mina, and Lita will be waiting for you when you get here.
See you then!

Serena
"Why would Serena be in the hospital?" Darian said aloud as he unlocked the door and threw his suitcase on the bed. When he looked at the clock, he grabbed his car keys. The clock said 3:30!


"Where is he?" Serena asked the scouts and Greg.
Greg closed his eyes and said, " He'll be here in about 10 minutes. He's on his way, Serena. "
"Are you sure?" Serena asked him, impatiently.
"Well we better get down there then. After you told him we would be waiting down there for him," Raye said.
"OK but make sure you get in here the very second he gets here!" Serena said.
"Serena the only way they could do that is the sailor teleport. And it would take longer than that," Greg said.
"Well be here as soon as you can," Serena gave him a dirty look.

Darian parked his car and jumped out. He could see Raye, Mina, and Lita through the window and they waved as he came closer.
When he got inside he asked," Where's Serena?"
"What not even a hello?" Lita asked.
"Come on! Serena will skin us if we take any longer," Mina said starting towards the elevator.
The others followed. Mina pushed the up button. When they stepped inside the elevator Raye pushed the number six.
When the elevator stopped Lita was the first one off.
Lita headed towards a door with the number 643 on it.
She pushed the door open and Darian pushed her aside.
"Serena!" He said when he saw her.
"Hi Darian!" She said when he leaned down to kiss her.
She giggled when he did.
"Why are you in the hospital?" Darian asked after they had parted from the kiss.
"Amy!" Serena nodded towards her.
"Be back in a sec." Amy said leaving the room.
"Why are you in the hospital?" Darian asked again.
"You'll see in a minute," Serena replied.
"Amy's back!"
She had a little bundle in her arms. Just then, Darian heard the bundle cry. Serena smiled.
"Is that what I think it is?" Darian said turning to Serena who was nodding her head.
Amy handed the bundle to Darian, and when he looked in the blanket, he smiled. Then he handed the bundle to Amy and then he fainted.
"Get me a glass of water!" Serena said to Amy who handed the bundle to Serena.
Amy went into the bathroom with a cup, filled it up in the sink, went back out, and handed it to Serena who then threw it on Darian.
He opened his eyes and rubbed his wet face.
" What did you do that for?"
Just as she was about to answer him, the bundle started to cry. "Do you want to hold Reni now?" Serena asked holding out the bundle.
"Yes," Darian said taking Reni in his arms.
"Serena, why didn't you call me when you found out you were going to have Reni?" Darian asked but she was already asleep.
"Oh well", Darian said cradling Reni, but he thought he heard, "Because you would come home for me."

"You wanted to see me, Prince?" Amethyst asked.
"Yes. I have a job for you, Amethyst," Prince Diamond said.
"I want you to go to St. Edward's Hospital in Tokyo. You must get the future Princess of Crystal Tokyo. Right now, her name is Reni but in the future, she will be Small Lady.
I want her hear so her mother will come looking for her and give her self to me! You must get her! Do not fail me."
"Yes Prince Diamond. I will not fail," Amethyst said disappearing.
'You better not,' Diamond said to himself.

Serena woke up slowly. She rubbed her eyes and sat up.
" Morning Meatball head," Raye said.
"Where's Darian?" Serena asked.
"He went to the Café to get something to eat. He'll be right back." Lita said, "He said he hadn't ate anything since the plane"
"Oh," Serena said.

When Darian got to the Café, Andrew was off work.
" Hi Andrew!" Darian said as he sat next to him.
" Hey Darian!" Andrew said to his best friend. " I heard the news! Congratulations!"
" Thanks. Have you seen her?"
" Yah. She's really beautiful," Andrew said.
" Thanks."
"I figured you would stay at the hospital with Serena and Reni and not leave until they left."
"I would have but I haven't ate since the fight home and that was the day before yesterday," Darian explained," And I do not like hospital food. And the scouts said to go ahead and come down here."
"I'm off work and wanted to visit Serena so I'll go with you when go back," Andrew said to his pal.
"Ok. However, that will be a while. I got to get something in me," Darian said then ordered.
" My treat," Andrew told Darian.
" No you don't have to do that. I'll pay for it myself," Darian told his generous friend.
" No I insist. After all you'll need the money for stuff for Reni," Andrew told him.
" I guess you can pay for it but you're not gona pay for anything else," Darian said, glad that he had friends who would really help Serena and himself.

"I thought you said he would be back in a couple of minutes! He's been gone for half an hour!" Serena wined and then stared her customary wailing.
What an earsplitting noise!
"Stop that awful noise! Serena please stop!" Lita shouted trying to make her voice heard over Serena's whaling.
Serena stopped after hearing Lita shout like that.
"But you said he would be back in a minute! He isn't!" Serena said.
Just then, Darian and Andrew walked through the door.
" Darian you're a life saver! I could kiss you!" Raye exclaimed.
"And you would if you had the chance!" Serena mumbled.
" Did you say something Serena?" Darian asked.
" You stopped that awful noise!" Amy said glad that Darian was back to.
" Serena whining?" Andrew guessed.
" Yup!" Lita said.
Just then, Mina came in holding a basket in her hands.
A muffle came from inside the basket.
" Gee I wish they would let cats in the hospital!" Artemis said popping out from under the cloth that covered the basket. Luna came out to.
" Hi guys!" Serena said at them.
Luna and Artemis jumped on the bed and Serena hugged them.
Artemis did a flip and a bouquet of flowers appeared.
" Thank you Artemis!" Serena said catching them in the air.
" That's from Luna and me," Artemis said.
" Thank you Luna, Artemis!" Serena said.
" Amy will you get me a vase, please?" She asked.
"Ok!" Amy said leaving the room.
Then a nurse came to the door and asked if Serena wanted to hold Reni.
" Please," Serena said.
A couple minutes later Amy came back with a vase.
Then the nurse came back with Reni and handed her to Serena, then left the room. Reni started crying.
"Great! We finally stopped one crybaby from crying and now there's another one!" Raye said.
"Raye?" Lita said.
"What?"
"SHUT UP!"
Really.
Every body laughed at that. Even Reni laughed.
"So when are you getting out of here?" Darian asked.
"Tomorrow. If I had a ride."
Everybody rolled their eyes.
"And Reni still needs a car seat, a crib, and some more clothes, I've already gotten some cloths and bottles and things like that. And somebody needs to go to my Mom's and pick up Sammy's old stroller."
"I do that when I come by here tomorrow," Andrew volunteered.
" My mom's still got our, er, my old crib," Amy said," It may need a new coat of paint, but it's in really good shape, bed and all."
" I've got a can of paint, pinkish peach I think," Mina said," I picked out and used a little of it but I wanted it to match my drapes. However, it didn't, but it is a very pretty pink, but it didn't look right with my drapes and I lost the receipt so I couldn't take it back. So I kept it for someone who might need it and now it's gona be put to use for the new princess."
