Haruka (English) Amara Tenou Haruka is probably one of the most androgynous characters in the entire series. She loves to race cars and often dresses like a man. Haruka also lives with Michiru who happens to be her friend, schoolmate, and partner. Haruka can be rather rude and confusing and even flirtatious - in fact, she even flirts with Usagi. Haruka is Sailor Uranus, the senshi of the sky. She carries a sword, the Space Sword, which is one of the Three Talismans. Haruka first appears driving a race car and the heading off to school via helicopter with Michiru. Later on, the senshi meet her for the first time at an arcade. Usagi happens to play the same race car game as Haruka, and Haruka naturally wins with a new high score. Afterwards, Usagi disguises herself as a student of the school Michiru and Haruka attends and snoops around. Usagi hears a violin playing and is drawn to Michiru who, well, is playing her violin. Haruka and Michiru warn Usagi and the rest of the senshi to leave them alone and Usagi is chased out of the school grounds. Later on, two mysterious senshi, who look like Michiru and Haruka, appear after Sailor Moon destroys a cat-possessing demon. Haruka mysteriously appears as Sailor Uranus after the senshi fight Eudial and vanishes just as quickly and mysteriously. Sailor Moon, however, chases her down and Haruka then once again warns the senshi to stay out of her way. Sailor Uranus officially introduces herself later, along with Sailor Neptune, when the senshi are fighting a demon sent by Kaolinite. Sailor Uranus, along with Sailor Pluto and Sailor Neptune, help the senshi in their fight against Mistress 9 and Master Pharaoh 90, and then take care of the rapidly growing baby Hotaru afterwards.
