Galleries! And Other Stuff

So the staff of the SMFFG was planning to do a podcast in honor of Sailormoon’s 31^st birthday yesterday, but I ended up getting side-tracked. So instead today I have galleries for episodes 151-160 online, woo! Just six more episodes left and I’ll be all finished up with SuperS. It’s gone by so fast ;_;

Other news! If you’re interested in participating, there is a captions contest going on at the Sera Myu Antics Forum featuring images from the SMFFG! I encourage everyone to check it out and give it a shot. You do need to register an account, but that’s no sweat. ^__^ I hope to see you all there!

My translation of Mugen Gakuen is finally complete, and it should be available for download in the next few days. Please keep checking back for an important announcement regarding this site and my translation! I hope you all enjoy the new galleries. Have a great day!

Re-launch!

You may have noticed that the SMFFG was offline for the better portion of today. That would owe to the fact that I was busy re-designing the website, and I didn’t want anyone to have a page randomly switch up on them or break. But as you can tell, there’s a lovely new layout here that I spent two days working on. This is my most complicated layer yet—featuring a hand-drawn image by our newest staff member, Margi. Isn’t it shiny? The header also has a neat little flash mouse-over function for navigation that I’m rather fond of. It’s my first experiment using flash! How do you think it came out?

The icons page also received a complete make-over today. All of the icons now load on one page, but with modern technology and DSL / Cable internet I think it should be fine. <3 The icons are now organized by whether or not they are static or animated, so you don't have to sort through pages and pages to find an icon that catches your eye. The new organization has made me realize that I need to get cracking on making more animated icons, however...

Anime Next Review Podcast

As we stated in our previous update, the entire staff of the SMFFG attended Anime Next 2009. Last night Sailorasteriod and I created a podcast about our experience and a general review of the convention, which you can find here. Beware: this is our longest podcast yet, ringing in just shy of 45 minutes long!

New Galleries~!

Today I bring galleries for episodes 141-145, as well as three new icons. The gallery image pages have been upgraded so that now they have “previous” and “next” links—this makes navigating through pages and pages of images LOTS easier! Just ask poor Jen and Paul, who recently tagged a bunch of new images. <3

The cast of the SMFFG attended Anime Next last weekend, and we will be podcasting about the experience soon. Right now there are two new galleries online—one of the staff’s pictures from Anime Next 2009, and one for general funny Sailormoon cosplay. My friend Brady and I have kicked off the opening of that gallery with some hilarious crack-photos of our new from Anime Next, but the gallery IS accessible to anyone who would like to contribute to it. More information is available on the gallery page.

Also, be on the lookout for a new design. I’m hoping to have it up by the end of this weekend, if not sooner. A friend of a friend has been busy designing a new banner for this page—keep your eye out for it!

The SMFFG has also been keeping busy on other projects—namely, a translation of Mugen Gakuen in association with Nyoron Fansubs and Sera Myu Antics. Watch for it soon!

Feeling Good

Today we have galleries for episodes 133—140 online, as well as nine new icons! I’m working on getting this project done, slowly but surely. Sailorasteroid is away on vacation in Florida, so there is a hiatus from podcasting and tagged images for now. I’m just making sure I’ve got lots of work for him when he returns, aren’t I a good friend? ^__^ Thanks for visiting, and enjoy!
